Idc what anyone says, HyperX is super underrated. They’re like the quite kid in the back, everyone ignores him and doesn’t care for him, but in reality he is a genius, and does the best in the entire class lol
Back in the past I was the exact type lol
quiet*
Agreed. I have the hyper x origins tkl with the aqua switches and love it over my ducky at times…I did replace the stock keycaps tho on the hyper x. The quad cast is an amazing mic and the cloud 2 is a fantastic headset.
Forreal, not a keyboard but the Pulsefire Haste is such a good mouse. The wireless version should just drop already
@@Fr0stbite1801 wireless haste is already out they are reviews on KZhead already
Honestly I think they should sell the HyperX reds separately in packs for those of us who prefer to use a custom over a big brand board because they're really good for a gaming switch
This
@@SwitchandClickOfficial legit i can't find any 3.8 mm switches except for these
I have thought the same about razer, but I doubt these big companies will ever do that, then no one will but the entire unit
@@TheTechne there's still a way larger market for gaming keyboards because customs are expensive and just aren't consumer friends so even if they do sell them separate for those of us who use customs there will still be tons of people using gaming keyboards.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial literally just watched your video abt this board lol
happy to see more of these smaller form factor keyboards from these bigger companies. Even though I will always stick to my custom build, glad to see more options for more people.
I got customs too but they horrible software feature firmware shiet i would always stick to real kb with software, warranty etc. Even if i built 100 customs
Agreed, after trying a custom - I would never go back to a prebuilt, but this actually seems like it would satisfy most people and it’s widely available for a decent price
how do you know if someone has a custom keyboard? he’ll tell you
I never knew how great hyper X keyboards are. Picked up this keyboard for $70 at Target, did NOT expect it to be this good. I had the huntsman mini and loved the sff of it but missed my arrow keys. Great keyboard for an amazing price.
Mine was 130$ bro
purchased one myself yesterday. Absolutely lovin it. Just like you said, the spacebar does have a little ticky sound n w a little grease work, all is good.
Just got this during their birthday sale they have going on right now. Got the tactile one at a great price. I have had nicer boards overall before, these stabs are noisy etc, but it's just a product where it has enough character that you love it anyway. The aluminum build is great, been used to plastic for so long it's funny to be able to touch cold metal on the sides of the board. Gives it a nice premium weight. The tactile switches aren't super tactile, but I wanted the blue accent keys instead of the red lol. I plan to get a syringe so I can lube the stabilizers and hopefully quiet them down, if I can get the long keys sounding a little nice then it will be great. I've been mostly using Akko boards for a long time now, but this hyper x is on my desk now.
Decided to pick up this keyboard because of your reviews! Great reviews all around!
i got the tkl version and i agree the build quality and switches are great
Thanks for the video mate ! you're awesome and funny keep going
I like the ending with the layover on the actual video ending extra. Maybe it's just because it is different, but I like it. It's a clean look.
I totally forgot, lol
I have been using hyperx products for about 4 years now and they have never failed me in quality.I plan to use hyperx for years to come.Amazing video as always!Keep up the great work!
man I agree hyperx products are always solid
took those red spacebar and ESC keys from the origins 65 I bought recently and put them on my origins 60 keyboard, perfect match!!
I got back into PC gaming recently, paired up with my cloud 2's and quad cast s but I just need a new keyboard and this one looks good
I've been using this for a few months, and I absolutely love this baby. I have no regrets
where did you get it
i just got this 1, coming from the hyperx 60% and im loving it.
The jump cuts are uncanny. hahaha, banger vid techne!!!
I’ve always said that HyperX is easily one of the best no fuss out of box companies to get. Now with that wireless Haste they are throwing some big punches. I also want to hear more from that bald Techne lookalike about that mystery board.
that weird bald guy asked to be paid way to much, so I had to let him go. plus he was a SteelSeries fan boy
Sheeshhh
Would actually buy if they released a version with the tactile switch. Have been waiting for that for the 60% for a long time.
Now the 60 is with aqua switches
@@iramike Yup, just ordered one!
I just bought today; one year after you did the video and for me is the best keyboard I has. I don't know if u have some keyboard else to recommend! thanks for your video.
still a great keyboard today
That intro lmao, Techne you're the best
Super happy hyperx pushed these out, heres hoping they start making wireless keyboards as well, they'd take over the game
HyperX - The gods of underrated gaming peripherals
I wouldn't say they are underrated.
@@TheTechne why did you put the space bar on backwards every time?
i have a question where have you bought it from because i was thinking to buy it and it isn't available on amazon?
I've had my HyperX Alloy TKL for 2 years....I'm itching for something else! But in all honesty, I don't like 65% keyboards. I use the Fkeys so much. Maybe that Razer one with the analog keys...that seems pretty sweet.
HyperX 65 or the GMMK 2… Love the vids, keep it going!
I recently bought that keyboard and i love it but,i am having ping sound on backspace and enter button,it doesnt making sound that much but i am afraid it could make more in the future. I heard some ping noise from your keyboard aswell is it common for that keyboard or should i give it to service and ask for new one ?
This is the best non-sponsored video ever 😂 This video is so entertaining!
I gotta email them about that check
@@TheTechne lol
Now this, is a keyboard I can get behind!
i love these reviews so much
thank you so much man
the stabs are okay, unfortunately, the spacebar has way too much rattle for me. And the keeb is not hotswap so you can't really tune it without desoldering, feture that both the GMMK 2 and the One 3 Mini have access to solid keyboard, just not really the best when it comes to what you can do to it
I Bought this keyboard today and I freaking love it. I had the Logitech G PRO keyboard with blue switches so it was a tiny bit of getting used to the linear keys. I do love the escape and spacebar keycaps, they look so nice. The only downside is there software, its good enough but not great.
I got this keyboard and its the definition of amazing got it for like 100$ dollars only issue with it was it stopped working randomly but it was just because the cord wasn’t plugging into my pc correctly or smth
The base for the 65 looks higher than the TKL and the full size one. Is this the case and by how much if so?
Should I get this one or Razer's 65 Keyboard from last year? That one is down to 100-110 dollar in Sweden right now.
Hey brother, great vid. Only issue I saw was - you put the spacebar upside down.
I always flip my spacebar
HyperX is releasing good stuff, however with the features of Apex Pro TKL, I dont see myself switching off of it for a very very long time Yes, i know they're two different companies, but im stating what i think
I just ordered this and it’s my first keyboard ever lol. I want to add some foam to the bottom. Should I try it? What foam should I get? And I want to do something with the spacebar.
The best gaming headset I use is from HyperX, The Orbit S is amazing, I might give this keyboard a try.
Great review, is a fantastic keyboard!
thank you and agree
I won't use hyperx keyboard anymore lol, the spring ping is so crazy and yet it is not hotswap
I don't know how you're able to take off the space keycap so quickly.. I'm struggling to take it off lmao, scared of breaking it
The intro is so good lol
I just recently got a Razer Blackwidow Mini v3 and while i like it, it occasionally lags even when wired and double presses some buttons. I got it maybe a month ago and am debating on getting this hyperx keyboard to replace it
Which keyboard would you choose. HyperX Alloy origins 65 or hyperx alloy origins tkl
I just bought my 10 year old son one for his Gaming Computer. He loves it ' Great Keyboard! 👍👍
i might consider this if they have aqua switch
Hey Techne, is the 60% keyboard the same built as the 65% besides the layout? Are there any differences?
yeah its the same, also the tkl
Yo Techne, U the stinkin best
I just can't see myself switching my apex pro tkl. This keyboard did have me thinking though.
I really don't understand how people ignore or sleep on HyperX? Like their keyboards are great, most of the time it surpasses other keyboard manufactures for the price. Sometimes due to people ignoring them for the bigger brands can nail you some sweet deals on them. Got my HyperX Alloy Origins (full layout with red switches) for 55$ because of that.
I have the origins 60 and its amazing I wonder what the origins 65 is gonna be like.
Unfortunately I wanna say I loved this keyboard but broke the spacebar stabilizer removing the keycap it kinda sucks I loved the origins 60 but I just wish hyperx would make it hotswapable even if that means it would only work with the hyperx Reds, aquas and hyperx blues and charged more for the hotswap feature
Good video, you did put your space bar backwards though :D
I always do on every keyboard. its very cozy, try it
@@TheTechne damn, this is actually very helpful on the thumb, you got me mindblown sir
HyperX Alloy 65 VS Razer Huntsman Mini vs Fnatic Streak65 LP? Im using razer huntsman mini red switch atm but idk... i miss the arrow keys... please help...
Should I get this or TKL Version?
I didn't see a comment about you putting the spacebar back on upside down. You put the spacebar back on upside down. xD jkjk Good video.
But techne, what about compared to the fnatic streak lp?
The standard space bar is upside down. Now that is genius .... 😁😁😁😁
My friend just picked up the 60% version based on your vid
also a great board
Doesn't seem to be available in Europe?
I have the Origins Alloy 60. Best board I have owned.
That keyboard under embargo is definitely the GMMK 2 65% Compact
shhhhhh
hello, will the keyboard have problems with macOS?
I remember seeing this thing while browsing Amazon for a nice 65% keyboard and had to do a double-take just to make sure I wasn't reading it incorrectly. Honestly, I love that HyperX did such a thing, satisfies those who love the small form factor but also need their arrow keys for anything they use 'em for.
What size shift key is that on this board?
Why is no one talking about this? Can’t even find them in Australia I just ordered one from us
THE SPACE BAR WAS THE WHOLE VIDEO UPSIDE DOWN
Redragon k628 Pollux is it with this keyboard reminds me of
Prediction the keyboard u will review tomorrow is the newly revealed gmmk v2
Why is this so much more expensive than the TKL version?
does it have standard bottom row?
I have to hyperx alloy origins core with red linear switches. I am considering lubing the switches. Should I?
nah, just dab up the stabs
why the hell is there no uk layout for this keyboard? its been out for ages...
will there be a white one cause my setup right now is white
That price point damn not bad, if only it was wireless
Can you review the hyper x orbit s ? Made by audeze I heard.
I have
@@TheTechne don’t think you have man just looked. Orbit s is the crazy one for 329.
Techneeeeee you put the space bar keycap on wrong
I have the 60% and may just sell it and pick this up, although I can’t find it in Canada.
yeah I didn't se it on Canada amazon either
@@TheTechne Not on Canadian hyper x site either, may just be a waiting game.
Apart from some cheap headsets Hyper X products seem good to me. Gotta check them out.
Their Cloud II headset is amazing but sadly the plastic eventually breaks apart where the wire connects to the plastic. I've gone through 2 pairs now that have done it. Usually happens within 2-3 years
If it was hotswap and the price remained similar it would break the market
Actually what’s big difference between Red Switch and Aqua Switch? And which one is the best one? Hard to choose between those 2 😅
Small tactile bump that you can feel when pressing the aqua switch, just gives you a little bit of feedback when you are typing so you know when you pressed a key. Red (linear) switches are smooth all the way down until you hit the bottom. I have the aqua switches and the little bump you feel is very minor, so I wouldn't stress too much over which switch to get, they aren't hugely different. With the red switches you'll get an extra red spacebar and escape keycap, with the aqua board you'll get two aqua blue keys. I bought the tactile switches because I wanted the blue accents lol.
Red switches are buttery. The aquas feel notched but it's not smooth like the Reds.
The keycap breaks so easily for mine
Great intro 😂
well now all hyperx needs are hot swappable switches
i have the ducky mecha mini .. am i good?
What about this vs the gk 61 with yellow switches
whats the actuation point on it?
I wish this came in the White Edition
It truly is a good keyboard I have it myself👍😁
Apex 9 or this one?
I wonder why it's always the spacebar is the outlier in terms of pinging.
The reason is because they use stabilizers rather than extra switches to hold it in place. Cost cutting from my point of view.
"All packing the same amazing quality build" Well, not exactly. I've heard of several instances where these boards have a very bad case of rattle on their space bar - specifically on the left side. I lubed my alloy 60 and it sounded great, but the space bar still had insane amounts of "rattle clank" to it, it literally became annoying during daily use. Plenty of complaining on their forums over at Reddit. I ended up selling off mine. Couldn't cope with it. Just a tip. Stuff like this prevents me from chasing down another HyperX keeb.
I had a problem with the TKL one. Where my keys wont register when playing fast pace games like apex. Key "2" wont function well to change gun. I love their kbod. But the rattle on shift, capslock, spacebar is insaneeeely sucks
you put the spacebar back on backwards... LOL
techne drank a bit too much coffee today. I see you
lol, I just nerd out to much when I love the product
might pick it up idk tho
65 are sweet spot for me
is it worth to upgrade from HyperX Alloy RGB elite????
a great layout
Byt on tkl you dont have new pbt kaycap
Your space bar is upsided down btw...
careca cigano very nice review
How does the Anne Pro 2 conpare to this?
this is better
@@TheTechne Thanks! Though could i also ask about which aspects this is better? I am not very versed about keyboards.
looks good but whats coming tomorrow...?
actually next day, my bad
@@TheTechne 😩 embargos
