Creating a dynasty is the ultimate goal that every team in every sport constantly strives for. But it’s an incredibly difficult task, especially in the NBA. Players demand trades. Coaches eventually move on no matter how great they are. Injuries can rob athletes of their prime years. However, some teams have been able to find the right combination of players, coaches and management, and dominate the NBA for a number of seasons. Let’s take a look at the greatest NBA dynasties of all time.

The 2006 heat?
7:15 Double HEEL surgery is what finally took Bird out of his elite level play (though he was STILL an amazing shooter and passer, his mobility died after that), though his back certainly was a contributing factor.
3:05 Also note that had Bill Russell not been hurt badly enough to MISS GAMES during the 1958 Finals (sprained ankle), we probably would be talking about their *10 peat*.
Super impressive…they beat all my school teachers…and wilt😴 bill russelllll stinkkkksss how u a center and shot 46% from the field 🤣🤣😩 deandre Jordan had a higher FG percentage 🤣🤦🏾♂️ but y’all killed kobe for shooting under 50% from outside the hoop 🤣😆
@@renaldopierre1995 As soon as you spouted that "school teachers" LIE, you demonstrated your total ignorance of the period. Also keep in mind that Kobe was SUPPOSEDLY an "elite shooter" yet never led the league in FG% and often was BARELY BETTER THAN AVERAGE. Bill on the other hand was NEVER focused on offence or considered to be an elite shooter, he was a DEFENSIVE STOPPER and concentrated on that end of the floor - yet he ALSO was league average TO MUCH BETTER as a shooter in an era that big men mostly dominated offenses DESPITE it being a secondary concern for him in almost all of the games he played - and even then Bill was TOP *5* in FG% for his first 4 years in the league and 14'th in his 5'th year. Kobe's BEST year was *18th* in FG% - and he NEVER made the Top 20 any other year of his career. Also keep in mind that REAL DEFENSE was possible in Bill's era - most of the rules that opened up the floor for offensive players happened DURING KOBE'S TIME IN THE LEAGUE, while Bill's era (due mostly to Wilt) kept changing the rules to make it HARDER on offensive players.

Kevin Durant said he left GS because when people mentioned the 2017-2019 GSW, they said "Kevin Durant and the GSW" he never felt like he belonged. What KD fails to understand/realize is that usually when someone mentioned a player THEN the team, it almost always a sign of them saying "This dude is the best on the team." Tbh the gsw dynasty is quite over yet. Yes durant left, but we have wiseman and wiggins who will hopefully develop into great players by the time thompson comes back. When that time comes, we will sure be able to contend for another championship.

How are the 2011 heat a dynasty and not the 2008 to 2011 Lakers. Heat won the same amount of titles and it took them four tries not three.
@@4touchdowns1game29 Ya, that’s tough. You could argue that, because they won the same amount in less appearances means they were more clutch in the finals, but I feel like to win 3 times and go to the championship an extra year is barely more impressive just because it’s hard to make the finals, and they won their conference one more time than the ‘10 Lakers did.

Had to laugh when they showed phil Jackson and jerry krause talking about the right chemistry hahahaha
4:17 one mild issue with that though - in THAT era, the West was a LOT weaker than the West, outside of the Lakers they didn't have any consistently tough teams. Not like today when the WEST has turned into the tougher conference.

You can’t really call the Warriors yet, not if the Spurs are a dynasty with a 6 year gap for winning the title. They had injuries in the 19 finals and then the whole 2020 season. Those players are back and now they have a high draft pick or a trade, I wouldn’t say it’s over yet
That's right thank you
Fun fact : George Mikans teammate (Bud Grant) was a NBA champion and also a NFL/CFL player/Headcoach and if I remember correctly he’s the only living person on the 1950 lakers championship team. O and Grant is in the NFL hall of fame and CFL hall of fame

Your first three were good then you went off the rails. The Warriors _damn sure_ ain't ahead of the Duncan-era Spurs. And they shouldn't even be ahead of the Bird-Mchale-Parish Celtics either. That team would've squashed the soft ass GSW squad to mush
7:20 And don't forget Bird MISSED all but 6 games in 1986-1987 for double heel surgery, that he never fully recovered from, though the back was his cited reason for retiring.
Thanks for all the information
i didn't know anything about any of these dynasties except for the Bulls, Spurs and warriors
Well now u do
I knew bulls,warriors,spurs,heat,Lakers,celtics
The Heat should be last on this list, and I think we all know it. No shade, but luring in top talent through free agency should not place you higher than the Spurs, who got 5 championships through drafting wisely and putting together an impeccable gameplan. Also, San Antonio is a much smaller market than Miami, Los Angeles, San Fran, Boston, etc. Even the Warriors got a championship without luring in KD at first.
Wel the content isnt top 10 dynasties or anything it just said dynastiest in the nba
They shouldn't be on the list period, neither should Detroit. 2 rings don't make you a dynasty.
@@henny6566 then the spirs shouldnt be there because they dont have any repeat dynasty means dominating for a loong time detroit did that
@@lucianoon8625 Some people don't consider them a dynasty for not repeating. 5 rings in 15 years is dominant though. Birds Celtics didn't repeat and are considered a dynasty. 2 rings isn't dominant so the Heat and Detroit aren't dynasties.

Yes I think 5 straight and 3 chips is better than 2-4 and the heat would have only had 1 if ray allen retired in 2010
yea KD joining warriors to beat LeBron!
Yes from a team standpoint, the warriors are better coz of their 17 and 18 dominant season.
@@mypeuslyips8761 lol let's not carried away like allen won them the series. That saved them from being eliminated but not winning them the ring Lmao. Even if he hit that shot, if they lost in the overtime or in game 7, it still wouldn't amount much.
Nick Samp well if he didn’t make it he would be 1-4
The 2011-2014 Miami Heat aren’t a dynasty. The other teams on here are becuz they won 3+ championships. The heat underachieving in 2 out of the 4 finals they were in when they were heavy favorites to win both. They couldn’t take neither the spurs or mavs to 7 games in those series.

So are the bad boy pistons not a dynasty? Also Heat won a championships while facing the Celtic dynasty and Spurs dynasty
Miami heat peak is 12-13 so you could nit pick that. But in their last year the Heat fail to add some good players around the big 3 which made them lose to Spurs. Its still Dynasty
I think the first one the list (Spurs) would be the best dynasty in the modern era of the NBA.
Yeah man! The were so good, they couldn't even repeat! No that's what I call greatness!
@@RooseveltAliWashingtonX What this video should've done is lay down a definition of what they consider a "dynasty". To me you don't have to repeat to have been considered one, you just need to have won multiple championships over a decent span of time while doing it with the same core of players/coach. So, in that respect the Spurs would definitely qualify as a dynasty, repeat or not. It's all moot though because the Bulls were a better dynasty anyway. If MJ hadn't retired Chitown would've won 8 STRAIGHT.

Not really a dynasty they were just a good team who were led by the most determined and most skilled player in Basketball history. Remember injuries did tear that team apart. Warriors isn't over yet
Lol
lol you shouldn’t have 2 dynasties overlap each other that kinda goes against the meaning of a dynasty. Yeah the 80s lakers and Celtics were undeniably the teams of the 80s and had very few competition but i don’t think you can consider both dynasties if they basically split the decade in championships
The East on those days had competition. The West didn't. Only Houston beat the Lakers in the playoffs in the 80's. Beat them twice. The East had the Sixers who went to the finals 3 out 4 years. The Celtics who went to the finals 5 straight years. The Pistons who went to the finals 3 straight years. Not to mention the Bucks who swept the Celtics in the 1983 playoffs. The Bucks beat the Sixers in back2back years. The Bucks won the Central division over the Pistons. Also the Hawks who were the paper champions in that period. What competition did the Bulls have in the 90's??
There should be a “lebron james dynasty” tbh. As of the last decade, when the man is healthy, you literally have a 100% chance of making the finals and a 44% chance of winning it.
Bringing allstars to every team you go to is not cool...i like lebron hes the best of this watered down era....He can never be the GOAT....win 7 or 8 rings then theres a arguement...not saying rings should matter but it does ....theres GREAT players who never won rings...i dont think LB is?better than KOBE so how did he jump pass the Mamba....He can have the scoring title...thats basically a longevity statistic...any scorer in the league who plays 20 plus years can break it...To be honest if KD plays 20 years hes gonna be the all time scorer and i doubt without anymore rings... Anyway MJ is the GOAT....
