Could of grabbed Pete's guitar thow!
no way. that is townsends solo. hes way more aggressive with his hammer on and pull offs. townsends thing was aggression. jimmys thing was transitions and trechnique.
That sounds nothing like what Page would play referring to the Who song
the best players in the who are dead.and pete ain't one and neither is roger!!!!
The Who solo sounds just like George Harrison circa 1964 -1964.
Go check out one of those bootlegs that are floating around that's supposed to be jams by Page, Beck & Clapton. Who was the hottest gun at that time. Wasn't Page. It was Clapton who was the most polished. And I have to say: Arguments about whether or not Page did or didn't play this part or that solo on The Kinks, The Who, or whomever are kinda amusing. Like a buncha wild dogs scrapping over a back hind horsleg. IOW, not that amazing 😉
Yet it’s not Jimmy whining about it, it’s usually those with less talent. Jimmy has more quite class then those others, even about his sessions work. He will mention some he played for, but not in a boastful way, he also isn’t putting down other guitarists.
That Who solo does sound like Townsend to me!
Yeah, Townsend made a remark about Hendrix not being a good guitar player. I believe that the people beg to differ. It's quite the opposite, Pete was an okay guitarist and Hendrix broke the sound barrier. Also, I can't stand people that take the credit for someone else, rather than there own accomplishments. He's obviously insecure in his abilities to do so.
I've never seen or heard Pete ever say anything but good things about Hendrix's playing
That’s J Page
Can’t explain solo sounds like Pete to me
Typical American, missed out the huge number of hits Jimmy Page played on in the sixties including Baby Please Don't Go by Them and You Really Got Me by The Kinks. If you are going to post stuff on KZhead do some research, it's not difficult.
I don't know... and WHO cares about the solo? It is/was nothing hard to do. Pete played it live how many times?
Yeah and Pete wasn't very good as well. He had hard time with rythem as well
No reason for Jimmy Page to lie or pretend.
MusicGeology is a nerd that does bad research.
Townsened couldn't play then, still can't play well now.
I bet you don't play an instrument....
