i love this song so much because of the fact that's its sort of a roller coaster of emotions, the beginning is slow and calm, then the middle is loud and hard, and the ending is dramatic and epic.

Those last few chords will haunt you. I cannot be more serious when I say this song, this band, knows their songs are epic, so how do they top off Vessels? Give us a roller coaster combining elements from the prior songs and give us that soft yet, transcendent notes that stick with us long after the song is over. Overall, Starset isn't Shiro Sagisu, but they know how to make the worlds most epic songs ever, of all time.

Omg, after listening to this song for sometime, i keep finding more and more depth in it, for the beginning part, you feel as if you're drifting through space, then he starts screaming which feels like a ship entering the atmosphere at high speeds and then when he stops screaming you hear a crash, which i think means that your vessel crashed o_o whoa

One of the best songs on the album...I love the soft part around 3:40 or so, and then it builds up and explodes into something so emotional, uplifting, and gorgeous. I actually started crying because it moved me so much. Bravo boys, you have outdone yourselves.
Tell me what you guys think, but I'd say this album is pretty sick. I'm not gonna' pick favorites. I've only just heard Vessels once. I'd like to point out the amazing versatility Starset has demonstrated here. I was expecting something similar to Transmissions, and we got something totally different. People are freaking out because this album doesn't follow the same linear storytelling style that Transmissions does, but I personally love it. Transmissions felt like a journey with a clear goal. Vessels on the other hand, feels like a labyrinth. I'm beyond impressed with Starset right now. Amazing pair of albums they've made. I already want the next one, but I think I'll be able to survive for a while on two full albums. Keep up the good work.
BladesArisen I support the theory of the "labyrinth" idea. Mostly because imagining these songs feels like youre floating through spaces with no clear end point.

This song evokes such powerful emotions from me. Not necessarily in message, more in the sound. Most often I feel a sense of mourning for something I can't even identify, and then at that moment we all know so well in this song, I feel blind panic, again not for something I can identify. It makes me think of a person that was looking for something up to that point, and then suddenly realized they will never find it - they're lost and have no idea where they are, or even what they seek anymore. Picture a person physically running away from their own darkness, as if they knew it was chasing them the whole time, but it only suddenly felt like a threat.
I lost my spouse of 14 years 5 months ago. We were both 32 years old. What you describe is a feeling I never experienced before my loss. Everglow for me invokes mourning so deep that it needs to be frozen. You also know you have to thaw it to get better. This cycle of fighting and fleeing represents this song for me, all under the Afterglow of my dead wife.

i am about to have an eargasm, these guys got so much songs out at one time.
At first the ending caught me off-guard, but now after a few dozen more listens I realised that within the context of space and "everglow", it's as if Starset demonstrated, through sound, the concept of a supernova. A star, whose everlasting glow gets closer and closer to dying off, has a final moment of pure and raw energy being expelled before its end. Meanwhile, from our perspective it is nothing but an everlasting glow as our lifespans are not even close to a sliver of the lifespan required to watch a star's glow die out in full.

I swear to God, Starset doesnt have guitar solos, but they make it up with their bridges. Its so symphonic. Every Starset song has a bridge that connects two choruses. This song has a bridge, but as screen turns white and music silences, its so peaceful, almost like you died. Moments of silence before Dustin screams in terror and repeats the bridge a few times makes me think that this song doesnt have an end, there is nothing after the bridge, only more bridges. Only way to get off the bridge is to go back and to listen to the entire album again :) Also I feel like the repeating bridge may the conscience of someone carrying a persons last words with them after they died,

I'm just mad at the fact that not a lot of people seem to have realized just how amazing this song is. It may not be their easiest song to the ears at first, but once you've listened to it several times (or at least for me), it's truly wonderful. The beginning of the song is so slow, and in the middle of the song that scream, god that scream. It's not just a scream, have you all heard the instrumental behind the scream? It's magnificent, every time I hear this song I can't help loving it more and more and like I said at the beginning of this comment, the fact that it's so underrated makes me mad at people who doesn't know just how amazing this masterpiece is. Because of people not giving the recognition it deserves, they don't play this song often at their demonstrations, and it's sad because I've heard it live (through videos unfortunately, I'm from Argentina) and it sounds just wonderful. It is (not by far because they are too good) my favorite song from them. And just like this song, I really believe that they are too underrated, I mean, they are slowly becoming more famous, but a band like this with the songs they have, they should be really famous. There has not been a single person that I showed starset to, who hasn't liked them, that's why I think that the reason they are not famous in the way they deserve to be, is because people just don't care about checking out new music.
