  • Hey Nick, just wanted to say I really like and appreciate your videos. I am really glad I stumbled upon this video. I had questions about the Helko Werk Tassie that no one would answer. You answered them all. Great review of the axe and I feel it was a very honest one. I grew up in PA and know what the wood is like there. Thanks again

  • HI Nick, thanks for showing that. I have been looking at that axe and considering buying it. You helped me in my decision. It is hard to see the profile on the website and i appreciate you showing it side by side to the Buckin Special. Helko has another axe that may have even wider profile the expedition I believe. I think I will get it instead of the Tazzy. Anyhow, I came over from Buckins channel, thought I would check yours out and I like what I see. Thank you for what you do bud. Have s blessed Christmas!!! • I think I have an idea I may do as far as the bevel. If you shave the handle down a bit i think it will change the whole feel of the axe. Looking forward to the video ;) and yes, unless you get that handle where you like it which is possible I can see you changing the handle quickly 😀 thx Killinger

  • This is a nice axe, but more for cutting/feeling, not splitting. I got a splitting axe and a maul for that. This one is good for speed and cutting since I believe it's a competition axe. I was trying to decide between this one and the expedition which has a longer handle.

  • I think the fiskars splitting axe is the ultimate light weight tool for splitting mostly straight grained hardwoods. The all welded steel handle, one piece wedge shaped heavy maul is the bomb for some twisted grained woods. The use of the hydraulic log splitter means you are old,and tired wore out,and ready to use some ease and application of common sense.
