From time to time I get gifts sent to me often with out any warning
My KZhead contract says that they could be deemed as payed promotions
Due to the nature of me doing vids daily mostly in a hurry
I feel it’s best so not to fall foul of contract so I will now just add the hash tag #paidpromotion to all my vids This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated

After working in both industries I can definitely say that the Agri workshop safety checks are so laxed compared too hgv checks with tractors still being able to carry the same or more weight than trucks
I think we are going to have to do hgv licenses soon because tractors can go 40 mph some even quicker young lads driving them with no experience of securing loads brake distance how wide they are. So I'm all for us having to do some hgv licenses of some sort
Quiz Question - stitching on the hoodies? Another excellent blog Olly. At least if it does rain hard tomorrow you have plenty of repairs to do in the workshop. 😊
Getting your trailers check out is very good and peace of mind.
I don't agree with trailers having no covers on. The tractors fly past my house and my house 6ft away from road.
I like your dad’s gardening style!! 😂
The stitching from your hoodies😊
I think the farmers trailers should have a MOT I feel they are no different to the HGV trailers. I know you could only be doing short distances but you are on the highway. Just makes it safer for all road users Great vlog keep up the great work 💪
as long as the trailer checks are totally up to the farmer and not made by Gov as theirs enough of totall red tape from gov agencys
A great video Olly, I had no rain here in Cornwall since the 17th of April, my neighbour has mowed some silage. I am 75% today.
Embroidery lettering on a hoodie. 40%. Sunshine intervals up here in Inverness.
Mot’ing agri trailers is a great idea. Peace of mind when on the road. I know your trailers are not that old and you wouldn’t expect any worn bushes/pins/shoes in them just yet but how often do you strip down and service the brakes?
Glad you some sowing done, mazie been planted under plastic on Isle of Wight today, we are still on tour mode 80%
Good day, combi drilled some peas and barley for silage later in the year, fingers crossed.
No rain here in East Devon today. Today’s quiz question is the stitching on your hoodies. Watched tonight’s live before watching this, as you came on just as I was about to watch this one. I was hoping you were going to be at the Devon County Show on the Friday (17th) as I’m going then. Not to worry if it’s the 16th like you thought in the live. We need an Olivia birthday bumper again. 😊
I would 100% agree Olly, and it should be more than yearly or to keep in line with Haulage industry needs to comply with
The lettering on James's Jersey😂 we've had a little bit today first thing in the morning in later in the afternoon down in Brighton
Dry in East Devon. Take care. 85%
Need some heat now for sure but with comes heat the rain, hopefully not much ! One week and we start May,surely summer around the next corner !
Agree regards extra speed and weight in return for trailer MOT's
As they say "Farmin is Fixing"😊 Hope your Dad's potatoes grow well for you.😊 oh and all your other crops too.😊
Hi great video, more cost,!! Cold nights, not good, 70%only,
You seem to be unlucky with rain,we've had no rain f9r the past week in my part of devon
Hoping it dry tomorrow as claydon are coming to set my drill off 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 it doesn’t rain ground is worked to get it to dry out. Well done getting drilling done 80%
Age restriction would have to apply a 16 or 17 year in charge of 30 ton + vehicle would frighten me
Great video Olly I would just join the wires up and try it and the quiz question it the writing on James hoodie and the tractor breaks should be checked as with the trailers 👍👍
showers and a cold wind from the north in norfolk today.
You should try a Lincoln snowdrop potato. Not had any for years but they’re lovely.
hi olly, another good video, was raining south snowdonia this morning, but turned out to be dry and sunny for the rest of the day, sheep work today, feeling 85% today, lambing is coming to an end thank god!
Hi olly quiz question is merch logo 70% today
Wonder if that alternator belt was over tight or is just an age thing? Quiz question, just checked the other comments stitching on James's top! 👍 Been dry here in Yorkshire, top soil that was delivered came out the lorry like cake mixture after a couple of weeks drying rotovated down really well!👍
The quiz question is the stitching on James Hoodie Your doing well with all the drilling and rolling it’s been. A lovely day today can’t believe it’s going to rain for a fortnight Isn’t it a busy time everything comes at once quite a few round are way are getting on with the silage feeling 85% and Olly brilliant video
It’s James’s hoodie stitching of agri logo.
I might be wrong but I thought that when the weight of tractors on trailers went up there was an offer of more weight or speed in exchange for compulsory testing but it was turned down by the ag industry. I for one are in favor of testing just for the safety aspect .
I totally agree having workeon a 4500 acre farm with land spread out when you need crop moved quickly and trucks are slower than tractors even then 30 yrs ago first fastrac lol😂
It would definitely be a good insensitive for farmers to keep there trailer good if they can go faster and carry more. It would be difficult for to get a lot of farmers round here to do it because we all run around with trailers with no lights and breaks and sometimes over weight 😔.
Fair play Olly for getting the brakes checked even tho it’s not compulsory. It’s no good checking things after something goes wrong!
James hoodie stitching. Too easy
Looks like the thread on James's Hoodie.
Weather has been crazy here this last 2 weeks... 2 weeks ago we had 25C then as soon as I sow grass seed on my lawn....since then it's been 10C and max 5C at night since.. now the pigeons have found my seed, they are pests too in Budapest
25 😎
I used to work in an agri engineering workshop and have changed to hgv mechanics I do think that all agricultural trailers and tractors should have some sort of yearly safety check and brake test like all hgv units and trailers have.
Just aswell you have top mechanic Rob on hand to keep everything moving shame we didn't get to see your dad with the 1455 power harrowing
I kind off agree with the trailers testing, however I don’t agree with going faster and heavier because you have 17 year olds driving tractors and trailers weighing around 25/30 tonnes, if you was driving a lorry at that weight you would have to have a HGV licence, I feel you need to have weight restrictions for younger people driving tractors.
Great video Olly ..I think that it's a good idea to get trailers tested so that you know that they ok to work....answer to the question is the stitching of the logo on your merchandise 😀😀😀😀30%
That lad Morgan is a brilliant part of your team Olly
Like how he dumped the fert bags in trailer with water in it!😂🤦
He’s a good lad
Wind n Showers here in South Norfolk all day !
Same a bit further south in Suffolk on the coast. That wind is freezing cold
I can not see why we can't put a 400hp tractor on a 18ton trailer knowing it will stop safety. It would be better then a 160hp tractor.
I'm 100% with you on the brake testing and inspection of agricultural trailers how else would you know if they are working correctly and safe for all concerned
Start a petition on the gov website then link it. If you get 100k signatures it will be raised in parliament.
You name it Olly we have had it , rain, hail, & sun all season's in one day. Well done on getting more land drilled, shame about the break downs. James is looking good in his hoodie. 80% Today.
Evening good vlog 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Trailer tests: I think your right there does need to be something to advantage the testing of the trailers, should maybe insurance costs reduced also at the same time as maybe slightly more weight
Tractor and trailer going over 40kph should be mot testing
Great video again Olly. Did your Dad not put ridgers on the power harrow? 👍
Sacking a John Deere! 😉 Testing agvs makes more sense now with the increasing number of things like FastTracs. After all, they can make 40mph legally, and that means they need 4 times the braking distance that 20mph tractors do with the same tyres and brakes. Good dialysis today, plus warm and dry enough I was sitting out in the sunshine waiting for my ambulance afterwards, so 125%. 7 yellow cars, 2 orange and a purple. Hello James.
FastTracs have external disc brakes and are far superior to the Case and John Deere we have, plus you don’t have to worry about brakes coming to bits and ruining the internals.
That’s going to be a brilliant week here in west coast of Scotland Olly till next Monday m8
Im all for mot on tractors etc if we could carry more weight. Was really disappointed with nfu for opposing this about 4 yrs ago, a seriously missed opportunity. Keep up the good work 👍
I think the problem of increasing trailer weight relates not to the trailer but the roads they run upon. Many of us in rural Britain are only vaguely involved in agriculture but most villages pay a Parish rate which cannot possibly be supplemental to reconditioning roads which are often only tar capped roads from between the wars or even recovered airdrome access roads taken into public ownership. We understand the desire of the farming community to be efficient but the destruction of smaller local lanes is beyond the local community’s ability to recompense and the destruction of local grups leads to constant flooding of roads. These are often dug out by hand by villagers to only see the damage repeated. As I head towards my 79th year it is a task I am now unwilling to tackle. Remember, increasing field sizes does not alter our medieval road system.
Embroidery on a agri contract hoodie.
the stitching on James's agri hoodie. Morgan looks suspicious on the water in the trailer 😂😂😂
I thought that
Missed a trick there overtaking Rob. You could have remade the famous tractor boy video. Shouting He's done him as you passed. 😂
Hi Olly Nice One MOT 's for Hi speed tractors and trailers has got to be the way thing are going didn't the DB 1690 die lasting your Dad went power harrowing Thanks again
It did 🤦♂️
Your dad has the right attitude. Got then gear, use it. Two days of clear blue skies up near glasgow. Been a long time since we last saw the sun.
Have you much more corn to sow olly? Could be a great year yet for spring crops especially with the shortage of straw and so much land in sfi schemes
60ac plus some sunflowers
If they brought in plating like LGV trailers then you could have increased weight as long as the tractor towing is capable of towing and stopping. #97%
If trailers are gonna go faster and carry more than I think some weight licence for the operator is in order. I've seen too many inexperienced drivers with big loads behind them.
Heavier loads at greater speeds…the haulage industry may have a word 😬
Olly, love watching your every day goings on... glad to see things are finally letting you get in the fields.... i was wondering why you don't use those conventional big ploughs on the fields?? is it be cause your crop is shallow rooted ??? PS i m a welder if you need one :-)
Ploughs damage soil structure
You said about trailers being tested, I'm sorry to be a killjoy but my belief is that if anything goes out on the open road then it should be tested in some form or another, I own a small trailer and would include that as well.
More hail in mid Suffolk weather is ticking me off now
With regards to been able to carry more weight, and greater speed, do you not think that if that was to happen, a more complicated driving test is required, there have been a number of crashes that have been young lads in high speed tractors with large loads? Just a thought
Agree
Yes
Stitching on James's hoodie 😂. Good to see trailers etc getting tested, I've used dodgey trailers in the past and absolutely hate them.
Unpopular opinion but if you want faster and heavier the driver should have some level of HGV licence Olly. The weight and speed of tractor trailer combos I see bouncing down country roads with young drivers, girlfriend on passenger seat and phone in hand is worrying.?
Great video Olly keep up the good work
Thanks 👍
The end of the video would make a great picture for next years calendar. Quiz ........ I ain't got a bl**dy clue. (Honesty is best)
At least now if heaven forbid you should be involved in an accident, at least you have proof that you`ve had the trailers professionally checked.
A as in Agri, on the hoodie?
Are all the road going tractor subject to an annual test of some kind?
No
What a terrible first few months it's been to 2024, hopefully things clear up for you Olly and you can finally get some seeds sprouting up! 90% today
How rolled field takes up water compared to not rolled one?
If rolled dry Simlar
Your dad has good taste, I have a garden full of Ulster Prince . 90% today.
😋
nice video! why not double weel?
Good day olly answer to the quiz question is a close up of a blue hoddie with agri written on in (maybe James hoddie) I like the idea of running heavy and faster but I think the should be a age limit on how heavy for explan you don't want a 16/17 year old pulling 20 tinnies at 60kpm that my thinking still a very good idea and one more thing olly your a top bloke for every thing you do for farming hold your head high my friend well done
Thanks 😊
0:28 a lovers tiff 😢😂
No it should be compulsory that one tested but you go with more than 25 mph with them now so you don't need to be carrying any more weight
its a good idea howeer policing it will be hard, two reasons number plates get changed per tractor, secondly unless a ery identifying marker is visible its hard for VOSA Police etc to know if a trailer and tractor has been fully tested? just a thought - bless your dad so cool usin gthe biggest tool for te job...le thm enjoy himeself you boys dont let him e play with you lot.....cos your orrible 🤣😘
Logo embroidery 👌 85% how are you mate?? %
great stuff ollie
Thanks 👍
Legend ❤
13:25 great content again
I think it's stitching on a hat
If they a hosepipe ban this year.
Good video 👍75%
just as you said .......can't beat a Fendt.......it breaks down
I've always said farm Machine should be mot too much left till tomorrow I know I work for a contractor lol 😢 gordon worthingwest sussex
Did the council solve the drain issue?
Not yet
Sadly, human nature justifies reasons why we don’t need to do things. Tractors and trailers are now into HGV territory with speed and weight but with the added factor of a high percentage of young drivers and it will only take one or two fatalities and heavy legislation will be imposed. We all think “it’ll be fine” the brakes are working enough, but without proper testing (and maintenance), standards do drop off. Sorry for being a boring grownup…😊
It is a good idea to get trailers tested and maybe should have a mot like lgv trailers. Did I hear you right you want to run over weight just to be more efficient. There should be fines for farmers that don’t comply with road laws like the transport industry
I think if u have a test on stuff you should be allowed to run at higher weights or speeds
👀🙄🐾👍
Quiz question answer-the A in Agri on james hoddie
