With a background in mechanical engineering, Tim is quite a practical chap, and has a well equipped toolbox. However he also has quite a few tools that are to be found in his toy collection, rather than the toolbox, and here he shows some of his favourites. Novel mechanisms, secret compartments, jokes and even edible pliers!
"Have you tasted your spanner recently?... Heh." - Tim 2015
It wasnt even a spanner lol hes such a cheeky mongrel
What a troll. Chocolate from the Nile.
Best heh ever

Your comment is 4 years early on KZhead
Leaving those lights on made me feel incredibly uneasy
battery from the nile

I don't know about you, but I trust this dude
HEH
Tim has enough Batteries to make a video itself 😁
His little chuckle at the end of every video makes my day.
Heh
Heh same
This show is like visiting your cool uncle's house
exactly, i dont have a cool uncle so Tim fills the void nicely :D
+Kewl Jack Exactly, he gives off that chill pimpin' vibe cool uncles do, and not a HINT of creepiness from this man. I mean him being an engineer in the pursuing, obtaining, and pounding of the pusswah after all. lol
Tim would be the coolest grandfather ever
+Dick Fageroni with Tim, you can't molest the willing
You mean wierd uncle
4:21 "It works very well" then that quiet "I never used it" killed me XD XD XD
Thanks for pointing that out! I would have missed it. XD
This man has achieved levels of genuine happiness most of the rest of us can only dream of. He is just happy to show us all of his gadgets, toys and novelties. One can only hope to be this happy.
Yes, and it’s quite nice to see
Let's start a GoFundMe to buy Tim that complete swiss army knife
im in. and i would sit and watch him talk about each tool included in it saying how clever and quite marvelous it is.
'heh" - Tim, Man of The Century

Man, this is probably the most wholesome channel on youtube.
what the fuck are you doing here randy
Randy, ur channel is the perfect inverse of this one
Heh.
Clearly you havnt seen the video where Tim rubs one out.
AirplaneRandy ,$.…:’.
Tim Tim Tim Tim Tim. I have that exact bronze hammer, and if you grab the large handle and twist it a large flat screwdriver will unscrew from the hammer
Yup, got the same one myself.
Is this sarcasm?
@@doodlecaboodle9298 no
@@DrRavager_ i later learned the flat blade has a Phillips screw driver inside of it, as well as a smaller flat screwdriver inside the phillip, and an even smaller one inside that one.
i recall that it’s also a specific hammer for when you need a nonferrous hammer, so it’s not exactly as useless as thought
This man was the “Show and tell” champion in his school growing up!
Tim, the only man who has turned his severe hoarding addiction into a viable income
amishgable I think that's a highly inaccurate statement.
amishgable I don't think it's hoarding when you neatly store everything away and it's not piling up anywhere. For example, I put away my NERF blasters that I collect. so they don't pile up and get in the way.
+amishgable It's more like a museum
***** lmfao at that rethink shit, get off the computer, or stop responding, thats how you stop cyberbulling.
theboarman Well if you keep attacking me on a personal level, I'll just file a suit. That way you really learn never to do that again. www.rethinkwords.com/
What demographic is disliking his videos? Seriously! Who doesn't wish they were related to this incredible man?
I think it’s the dreaded class of people known only as “haters”. Poor bastards 😔
Creepy...
Beats me! I’d marry him if I wasn’t already!
The same type of people who say get a *REAL* job
God I love this man, it feels like listening to my grandpa talking about things. It's just so wholesome
Tim reminds me of one of my engineering professors who has many gadgets and collectables of his own including a little engine powered by heat from a cup of tea and a revolver sawn in half.
I just love interesting people!
…Tim has that too, several versions! fitting that you said engineering, he’s an engineer too!
Another tool. Another tool. And another. A tool from a Nile.

Tim “the Tool Man”
I get the joke XD
Noice!
Tim Allen would be pleased, the two would actually make for good conversation
Fun fact about brass and bronze tools, they are used in high hazard areas as they do not create sparks when used.
@@asbestosfibers1325 hmmmm. You're not wrong. Lol
“I’ve never used it, but I do enjoy showing it to people.” Same
This world needs more people like Tim in it.
I want to hear more about the vice Tim made and his engineering days.
Tim is the grandfather I never had, and I wish I had.
I feel like what I love about his videos, is not only does he have a great collection, which he obviously takes good care of. But he also buys them with the intent of actually using them, and demos everything on the video. Most collectors like this won't even take them out of the packaging but Tim actually uses or "plays" with basically everything in his collection.
"this is my spanner and... MMM... it's time to eat it" :-P
The brass hammer actually has one more screwdriver in it. It´s the biggest one, slot driver and it disconnects by the flat part of the handle.
Have you tasted your spanner recently?
barry gilbert heh
barry gilbert topkeked

Tim has some strange friends. “Hey Tim can you look after my glass hammer, no questions asked?”
This gentleman is delightful to watch and listen to. Love to hear his fascination and enjoyment as he describes the various items in his vast collections. Delightful.
Tim is that cool substitute teacher that lets you stand by the door before the bell rings
Brass hammers are often used in gunsmithing or metalwork, when you need to hammer a delicate piece of metal without scratching/damaging it, a brass hammer, because it is softer, will do the job without any scratches.
It's always fun to listen to someone who is excited about the material they are presenting. Very engaging series. I Look forward to viewing them all!
What a bright gentleman! And the show is wonderful.
What kind of engineer did Tim used to be?
Rabid Rabbit Rabbi mechanical
***** That is right. Tim has a degree in mechanical engineering.
Rabid Rabbit Rabbi He used to host a TV show in the 90's about Home Improvement I think.
Real Name No, that would be someone else you are thinking of.
noisyturtle that's what I'm talking about
8:23 imagine having that and needing scissors "No this is for wires... and this is a screwdriver. Pinzette... can opener..."
6:55
he just collects things because he enjoys showing them to people. As Tim would say, how wonderful!
I have a confession: i use these videos to help with my insmonia
ASMR videos are also good at that.
Que hacés aquí vos Pablito?
Its c 137 not 137 c
Honestly same
the videos calm down totally. just starting to watch them against anxiety of all kind 😊
I had a brass hammer just like that! My grandpa gave it to me when I was little.
Matt G (oPryzeLP) had or currently have
Same here, good memories
My grandpa had one as well. He was an electrical engineer, I'd always assumed he got it at a trade show, perhaps in Germany or similar. Lovely little thing.
I have one, very similar, he didn't take out the larger screwdriver screwed into the base of the hammer. It's not a super useful hammer/screwdriver, but neat nonetheless.
"Have you tasted your spanner, recently?" I don't think so, Tim.
Dangit_Bobby heh. Loser.
I really enjoy Tims attention to detail. Thank you for such wonderful content. :)
I am a 75 year old automotive mechanic, I believe I started work at 4 years old taking things apart and such wondering why. There was no tool or gadget in you little presentation I had not seen or owned or knew what it was straight away, other than the chocolate piece. I don’t know why I watched the entire video But because we, you and I for 10 minutes or so were little boys and you were showing me your good treasure. Thank you. Gordon D. of Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA.
Tim is an engineer!? Man things are just getting more interesting by the minute!
YEEEEESSS!!!!! 10 minute video!!!
Watching Tim gets rid of my anxiety. Thanks Tim!
His humor is quaint and makes me feel like there are still good people. love the videos. 🎩
If I ever become rich enough, I'm hiring Tim to be my personal toy butler. Like a sommelier, but for toys.
Then better get the money quick, he's not aging backwards.
Hes richer than what rich that ur hopin for, dickhead
@@ericbalilia3010 5 years late, very eloquent though.

I thought i heard that wrong 😂😂😂
I've got the same set of nesting screwdrivers, except they go into a fourth, larger screwdriver, rather than a hammer. So much utility stored in what would have been otherwise wasted space!
Thanks Tim, I always feel better about the world after one of your nice vids.

Only 2 years in the making
I can't stop watching these videos. I don't know why.
Beautyful collection, tnx for sharing it!!! :D
You and James May from the BBC need to do a video together.
Tim and David Attenborough should narrate a documentary together, i love both of their voices. Very soothing...
Yes
Lazy House Cat Tim and May sorting, cleaning, and explaining tools. Narrated by Attenborough. Could bring peace in the Middle-East!
That’s what I thought
Damn it tim, is this an asmr channel in disguise, because I always get goosebumps and relaxation
Some people could only dream to have a passion for something as strong as Tim has for his toys.
Tim the "Tool Man"...great video :)
The one with the sink-in pins is now marketed on facebook ads as a new invention
brass hammers are used when a spark could ignite something
my thoughts exactly, alongside needing a nonferrous hammer for working around magnetic fields
i have a gator grip on my tool board in my garage. it's possibly the most handy item in my collection! very pleased to see you have one as well, even if you don't use it.
Oh my God, a couple of the tools shown here are absolute genius. How are they not standard?
Have I tasted me spanner? Have you gone mad Tim?
Anyone else getting AMSR vibes from his voice?
Yup. He helps me allot. I finally can fall asleep.
Not as much his voice, but whenever he brushes against his mic I do c:
ayy me 2
Kyle Sparrow YES
Never heard of the "tie knot in handkerchief" to remember something. Heard of string on finger, but this one is new to me!
If I had a terminal illness my last wish would be to hang out with Tim and his toys for a afternoon. It be so cool.
Tim, we've waited long enough. Show us your vintage weeaboo katana collection.
I like tim... He's funny :D
More videos! You can show anything, Tim even makes tools sound fun!
I clicked for the parallel pliers, I have two that are well older than me and I use them constantly. Very handy to have around
im surprised he didnt have the credit card knife!
Oh I have one of those, it's actually really handy
Energy Man He did say around 7min that he has one with 4 of 5 tools on it.
i have a great little screw driver with a viking that floats up and down in it
A friend of mine actually has the brass hammer with the screwdrivers inside of it. Very useful!
I love parallel pliers, I have a set of Manley's that are just awesome
I've been watching your videos for a while now, Tim, and one overwhelming question I have is: Where do you keep all these marvellous toys, gadgets and whimsies? You must need a lot of space for everything (I assume you personally keep samples of stuff that you sell as well?)
Joanne Gray - BBC interviewed him and it shows some of the places he stores stuff
Keep The toys in the nail!
nice crack lighter tim
That expanding thing to hold the screw, I need one of those.
I want to see Tim's entire collection in all its glory .
this guy is a meme.
a particularly dank one at that
+Bltch Erica Why do so many people have an ahegao face? is it because it's lewd but you cant get banned for it?

Tim do you perhaps have a rusty trombone you could show us?
RokasBum Booo!
I am watching your videos for sleep... Very relaxing videos and accent voice... Thanks ;)
I carry a set of those tweezers in my tool bag, fantastic for getting metal splinters out.
I wish Tim was my grandpa D: I'd have him tell me a bedtime story every night
why does he remind me of a lawn gnome??
I don't know how I have been watching for an hour and half and just now noticed the awesome introduction. btw I love this Chanel.
It baffles me how a channel talking about toys and puzzles can be some of the most interesting channels on the site
5:25 I have the exact identical hammer.
+Alexander Shekhtman the brass or the plastic one?
+Git Gud Nub - Brass.
ooh, quite handy, that.
+Alexander Shekhtman Thatb it is, been in my junk/tool drawer for years now. The hammer is perfect for hanging stuff, or popping in little nails in a cabinet and such. Nothing to heavy duty. The old lady loves it, she always threatens to paint it pink because i find myself using it so much for some reason.
5:14 - 5:30 Tool-ception.
I have an electric version of the first screwdriver Tim shows. Thing is freaking awesome.
My grandpa used to own one of those multi-purpose brass hammers. I remember playing with it a lot when I was a kid. :D
You'll have to let me send you one of my hammer whistles.
But will any of them fix my relationship with my Tortoise?....
Michael Jarrett no
I could listen to this man for hours
Tim's house must be a wonderland to behold. A story for every knick-knack, doo-dad and thingamajig. Houseguests would never be bored lol
what will hapend if tim discover Vat19
Please tell him.
2019 anyone?
Yup
I would seriously love to sit in a room and just have this guy present all his collections
Parallel pliers are fanstastic for jewelry, as they're less likely to slip or scratch wire or other jewelry bits. I've been wanting to make myself a nonmarring/brass jaw set for a while. Those universal/pin socket tools unfortunately don't work very well, the idea seems sound but in reality they are easily damaged or gummed up with dirt and tend to slip when putting a lot of torque on a bolt. That brass hammer tool is awesome for a variety of reasons, but the typical use of a brass hammer is when one needs to avoid damaging a steel part. My university had a number of combination brass hammer/wrenches that were used to adjust the draw bars on the milling machines. The draw bar tends to bind up when the tool is tightened, so they were very helpful in freeing the tool without damaging the machine.
For a matter of fact i have tasted my spanner recently. I don't recommend it.
