He is still unbelievable to come in with little experience and have this war and look great against a game Gilbert. As for the possible Colby matchup I think he bodies Colby. Colby won’t be able to take down khamzat and he doesn’t have the power threat like Gilbert to make kham to respect him. Styles make fights at the end of the day!

    • I think Colby could take down Chimaev... Burns almost did and Colby is an elite wrestler... the only issue is keeping a 6ft2 Chimaev who probably fights weighing 181 after his weight cut... but the pace Covington fights at and the chin Colby has, with his newly improved stand up game? • it never felt like one of those to me, maybe since nobody really got ground and pounded too much. It never felt like a beating for either guy, just a crazy sprint of a fight from bell to bell. Hopefully neither got too badly hurt

  • Honestly I think stylistically this was Khamzat's toughest test in the division other than Usman and possibly Colby. I picked Burns to win this but Khamzat proved why he's the real deal. Future champion in my opinion, when he makes the necessary adjustments.

    • Absolutely, burns is basically wrestlers kryptonite. Risky going to the ground with him and he has absolute bombs in both hands

    • @@Spitfire666100 Burns isn't a wrestlers kryptonite, if anything majority of the time Khamzat went for a takedown he'd perform better and win the position. Khamzat's coach was pissed off because he didn't stick to the plan and decided to brawl.

    • @@YusufIslam1 ask yourself, why didn’t khamzat or usman (wrestlers) go to the ground with burns when they could of ?

    • @@YusufIslam1 freestyle wrestling vs a JJ artist on his back is very VERY dangerous. He could have locked up a triangle or an armbar.

    • He'll be champ when Usman retires, this man just ain't beating that guy.

  • Burns is gonna be a harder fight for chimaev than Colby and Kamaru 🤫👀

    • Yep, that makes perfect sense. Usman demolishes Burns, Hamza struggles against Burns, yet has no problems with Usman.
