1. Great to hear that the game will get continued support beyond season 5. That is a great opportunity to gain back the trust of the community and honestly the game is starting to shape into something great, so keeping it up could really turn things around fpr the franchise. 2. The new stuff looks very good. Especially the new map with a completly different asthetic to the rest in the game. 3. I didnt think they could turn hourglass around and I'm still sceptical until i get to play it, but it looks like it could actually be a good map after the overhaul

Totally agree with everything you said - the only major issue that’s still not being addressed as I see it is the lack of content - 1 map per season is not enough. There needs to be at least 2.

I was in closed testing for BF2042 as I've been with other BF titles and unreleased game modes. I gave Dice basically a novels worth of feedback several months before release and my 2 biggest gripes were lack of cover for infantry and removal of the class system in favor of the hero nonsense we were given. It's sad that it took the game to fail before Dice took notice and if the game had been in its current state at launch it would have been their biggest hit to date.

Still holding out hope to hear about potential future seasons. Would suck to end it here when the game is just getting good again, considering the next game is probably more than 2 years away. Honestly, I would not be surprised at all, if the next game came out near the end of next year, 2024. I mean they've been working on it for awhile as it were, and EA well.. they like money. Vince Zampella, if anything, would be the only thing that would force EA not to make DICE release the next Battlefield Game too early, because if there's one person EA listens to, it's Vince. But clearly, they don't always listen to him (Jedi Survivor PC Port is proof of that)

Although Tom Henderson, who leaked a bit of 2042 before launch, said he expects the next game at the end of 2024, so maybe EA are just being quiet about it to not overhype like they did with 2042.

My only gripe with the new map is the reused assets. I feel like I’ve seen the same pipes and rails in every other map. Other than that, everything else seems great and I’m very hyped! Hope to see more unique and distinguishable maps in the future!

After being wildly disappointed in the beta, I played Mw2 until about April. I picked up BF2042 just to see what it ended up like and ive been hooked. Finished the Battlepass in the span of 6 weeks! I am glad that this game was worked on and I hope it can recover the series. Great work!

Nice! I will consider this as the true release of 2042. Finally feels like a battlefield game, destructible environment, buildings with covers, balanced play for infantry and vehicle players, and Anti-Air turrets. For year 2, I rather have 32v32 sized maps (even if allows 64v64) for a trade-off for more destructible buildings, coverings, and tree cover. Just no wide-open battles over long distances anymore. More urban and city battles and destructible buildings like previous battlefields.

Arica harbor can be extended to the shipwreck and then they can add boats, noshar canals can be extended to the houses on the right side of the map, Caspian border already works with 128 players and same with that jungle map I forgot the name of. I would really like to see some more old maps of BF1, BF3, BF4, i will quote some good maps that would look beautiful with the graphics of BF2042, such as Operation Metro, Operation Locker, Grand Bazaar, Gulf of Oman, Dawnbraker, Zavod, Flood Zone, Golmud Railway, Hainan Resort,Siege of Shanghai, Lancang Dam, Paracel Storm, Pearl Market, Propaganda, Amiens, Argonne Forest, Fort de Vaux, Sinai Desert. Among others, but really an addition of maps from other Battlefield would be wonderful. I would certainly spend many hours playing Battlefield 2042.

I started playing in S5. I don't get all the hate; but looking back at how far they've come I can see why. It's a phenomenal game and the most fun I've had in BF since BF3 (skipped BF4). Looking forward to Tier100 in S5 (not much time to play because of dad duties) and S6. Well done for all the work to bring this to where it is DICE (and the community for not abandoning this game).

I’ve been a Battlefield fan since the beginning. It has always been the superior online multiplayer battle sim for console gamers. And this release seems to be the most reworked version yet. Every season undergoes much needed changes, listening to the gamers input, and succeeding in evolving with the needs of the battlefield community. I’ve also enjoyed the old weapon releases, map reworks, the vehicles, everything. The only thing I would ask for is more maps that involve 64 v 64 players in more game types. Conquest is fun, but what about, “disarm the nukes 64 v 64”? Full vehicles, hardcore damage, full on mil sim. Oh yeah, with Portal, I can make that game type. This game is awesome and I commend those involved in its creation and sustainment. One request: Can we make the skyscrapers more destructible? Maybe not be able to totally level them, but be able to destruct the environment down to the steel superstructure. And if you like, make the shorter buildings, 20 floors and less, level-able with overwhelming firepower after key points of the superstructure are destroyed. That may be too much to program, but it would enhance the realism greatly. You guys are easy are the crème de la crème for mil sim. Might as well kick the rest right in the nuts and maintain your dominance.

1. Great to hear that the game will get continued support beyond season 5. That is a great opportunity to gain back the trust of the community and honestly the game is starting to shape into something great, so keeping it up could really turn things around fpr the franchise. 2. The new stuff looks very good. Especially the new map with a completly different asthetic to the rest in the game. 3. I didnt think they could turn hourglass around and I'm still sceptical until i get to play it, but it looks like it could actually be a good map after the overhaul
Totally agree with everything you said - the only major issue that’s still not being addressed as I see it is the lack of content - 1 map per season is not enough. There needs to be at least 2.
It’s wild to look at the maps before the revamps and how open they really were. It’s crazy to think they didn’t think about it before launch considering it was supposed to take place during a war

I was in closed testing for BF2042 as I've been with other BF titles and unreleased game modes. I gave Dice basically a novels worth of feedback several months before release and my 2 biggest gripes were lack of cover for infantry and removal of the class system in favor of the hero nonsense we were given. It's sad that it took the game to fail before Dice took notice and if the game had been in its current state at launch it would have been their biggest hit to date.

Honestly I have really been enjoying BF2042 these past couple of months. I was pretty sad to hear the rumor that season 5 might be the last one but I'm really excited there is still more in store as this game has made a big comeback

Thank you dice for bringing the game back. I stopped playing soon after release, returned to the game in season 4 and its probably one of my favorite battlefields now. I'm a sucker for near future aesthetics and you guys did it pretty well. Heres hoping for a great year 2.

Still holding out hope to hear about potential future seasons. Would suck to end it here when the game is just getting good again, considering the next game is probably more than 2 years away. Honestly, I would not be surprised at all, if the next game came out near the end of next year, 2024. I mean they've been working on it for awhile as it were, and EA well.. they like money. Vince Zampella, if anything, would be the only thing that would force EA not to make DICE release the next Battlefield Game too early, because if there's one person EA listens to, it's Vince. But clearly, they don't always listen to him (Jedi Survivor PC Port is proof of that)

Although Tom Henderson, who leaked a bit of 2042 before launch, said he expects the next game at the end of 2024, so maybe EA are just being quiet about it to not overhype like they did with 2042.

My only gripe with the new map is the reused assets. I feel like I’ve seen the same pipes and rails in every other map. Other than that, everything else seems great and I’m very hyped! Hope to see more unique and distinguishable maps in the future!

This actually proves how focused the team is.
The big problem is that it’s only one new map that gets old after 2 weeks. We need variety of maps and plenty of modes that can keep the game fun and interesting.
The only people left at DICE when the game launched were essentially interns and newbies. They've had to bust their asses just to attain the bare minimum.

After being wildly disappointed in the beta, I played Mw2 until about April. I picked up BF2042 just to see what it ended up like and ive been hooked. Finished the Battlepass in the span of 6 weeks! I am glad that this game was worked on and I hope it can recover the series. Great work!

The changes in the maps seem to me the most important thing. Surely the ones who are going to cry the most are the Snipers who previously had their enemies without cover on the open maps

Any good sniper will invite diverse cover, because it makes sniping a cat and mouse game, which is way more fun than a Turkey shoot.

Loving the game! Have been playing it a lot lately! Hope you guys continue to improve it!
Nice! I will consider this as the true release of 2042. Finally feels like a battlefield game, destructible environment, buildings with covers, balanced play for infantry and vehicle players, and Anti-Air turrets. For year 2, I rather have 32v32 sized maps (even if allows 64v64) for a trade-off for more destructible buildings, coverings, and tree cover. Just no wide-open battles over long distances anymore. More urban and city battles and destructible buildings like previous battlefields.
Really nice to see DICE's continued support, this update looks incredible!
Almost every update since November month has been incredible to be honest for the game.
its not like they have a chance... the new BF wont be ready until 2024 so they obviously had to keep working on this one till then, even if its just a skeleton crew
its funny when people mention Dice nowadays as if these are the same people making BF for past 20 years. The original dice teams & developers have left the company. Currently its like Dice Lite

They should add BC2 and BF3 Portal maps to the main Breakthrough and Conquest playlist.
On 64 conquest they already there but on breaktrough not but would be awesome If they add them to breaktrough

Arica harbor can be extended to the shipwreck and then they can add boats, noshar canals can be extended to the houses on the right side of the map, Caspian border already works with 128 players and same with that jungle map I forgot the name of. Obviously the 64 player versions of the maps would still be in the game.

I would really like to see some more old maps of BF1, BF3, BF4, i will quote some good maps that would look beautiful with the graphics of BF2042, such as Operation Metro, Operation Locker, Grand Bazaar, Gulf of Oman, Dawnbraker, Zavod, Flood Zone, Golmud Railway, Hainan Resort,Siege of Shanghai, Lancang Dam, Paracel Storm, Pearl Market, Propaganda, Amiens, Argonne Forest, Fort de Vaux, Sinai Desert. Among others, but really an addition of maps from other Battlefield would be wonderful. I would certainly spend many hours playing Battlefield 2042.
Why only 1080p ? need more resolution to see better details with better bitrate Dice.

It's great how they've been striking a balance between infantry and vehicles with the new maps. Hopefully, they really go all in on the next Battlefield.

I started playing in S5. I don't get all the hate; but looking back at how far they've come I can see why. It's a phenomenal game and the most fun I've had in BF since BF3 (skipped BF4). Looking forward to Tier100 in S5 (not much time to play because of dad duties) and S6. Well done for all the work to bring this to where it is DICE (and the community for not abandoning this game).

this doesnt deserve respect. they launched the game in alpha state and now 2 years later with season 5 they reached release version. this is mindblowing and shouldnt be appreciated
@@husix8876 Some gamers are able to appriciate the game because they think it's fun to play now. Regardless of how much they hated it at launch. Some can't forgive and forget and just play it if they enjoy it now.

The best thing that can happen to the Battlefield franchise right now: - Battlefield 2042 Year 2 up until September of 2024 - New Battlefield game release on November 2024 or early 2025
They've pulled it out the bag this season looking amazing and trailer was like a movie. Nothing but proud to be a day1 player 👍
It's so strange that their updates are adding mechanics that were present amd/or added in earlier entries that the community liked, things that made Battlefield good. It's very perplexing. Still, In glad they're working to "fix" things.

I’ve been a Battlefield fan since the beginning. It has always been the superior online multiplayer battle sim for console gamers. And this release seems to be the most reworked version yet. Every season undergoes much needed changes, listening to the gamers input, and succeeding in evolving with the needs of the battlefield community. I’ve also enjoyed the old weapon releases, map reworks, the vehicles, everything. The only thing I would ask for is more maps that involve 64 v 64 players in more game types. Conquest is fun, but what about, “disarm the nukes 64 v 64”? Full vehicles, hardcore damage, full on mil sim. Oh yeah, with Portal, I can make that game type. This game is awesome and I commend those involved in its creation and sustainment. One request: Can we make the skyscrapers more destructible? Maybe not be able to totally level them, but be able to destruct the environment down to the steel superstructure. And if you like, make the shorter buildings, 20 floors and less, level-able with overwhelming firepower after key points of the superstructure are destroyed. That may be too much to program, but it would enhance the realism greatly. You guys are easy are the crème de la crème for mil sim. Might as well kick the rest right in the nuts and maintain your dominance.
What’s crazy is maps shouldn’t be re worked if they work well day 1… reworks look mainly like crates being thrown around!

I can't find a match in 128 conquest cause the new map has it's own playlist. That's the only mode I love in this game I just started playing a month ago and have been addicted, but now I don't even feel up to playing :/
They should’ve done this a long time ago big problem. I need to suggest to put out there. I need to make an open mic at the older version of this game.

The "thank you" update. And it's right when the game gets interesting.... Kinda like BF5. Right when the games in a good place they cut support. And we're stuck waiting for 2 years.
BF5 was such a blast after the pacific update... shame we never got more after that..
