The Sincere Struggle for Allah - Khutbah by Nouman Ali Khan
In this khutbah Nouman Ali Khan focuses on the last ayah of Surah Al-Hajj, where Allah asks us to struggle in a way that is worthy of Him. Even though this seems impossible, Allah makes it easier for us with a reminder that each one of us was carefully chosen to be Muslim because we are capable of things that we are not even aware of.
We learn from the legacy of Ibrahim (AS) that whatever difficulties we face, Allah will make them easy the way He has eased the hardships of Ibrahim, the one prophet whose trials are unparalleled.
As Muslims today, we have become a target, but Allah has chosen us specifically because we are best qualified to withstand these hardships. That is our purpose and the more sincere we are in our struggle for Allah, the more He will ease our burdens.
I found this video at the perfect time. Chinese Muslims are experiencing increasing oppression and persecution regarding their religion. In certain regions Muslims are prohibited by the government from going to the masjid , arrested for having a Quran app in their phone, rejected by schools for wearing hijab, threatened to quit praying...Among the public Islamophobia is also on the rise. People on the Internet would use the dirtiest expressions to insult Muslims and Islam, although this can be found all over the world, what's different in China is that even those few authentic sources of getting to know the true message of Islam are blocked, including a blog of my own. The struggle is real for Chinese Muslims. I have been feeling a bit frustrated and demotivated recently but the reminder of Ustaadh Nouman rekindled my passion and determination. The struggle is hard but never too hard to bear, for what an incredible protecting guardian is Allah and what a constant massive aid that he posses.
May Allah make it easy for you, and strengthen your iman dear zhongguo mu si lin :) the higher the struggle the highest the reward:)

I’m proud of you and all the Muslims in China who are having hardship. Here in USA we are able to pray and read Quran and wear Hijab and yet lot of us don’t choose to do so. My prayers for all who are oppressed.

My heart was tightened due to difficulties of this dunya. But after listening to these ayats i feel better alhamdulillah. May allah makes us all strong to hold on to him..

The fact that you extracted all these things from one ayah is mind blowing ! May Allah grant you jannatul firdaous, ameen.
It's what the scholars of the past have done, and Br Nouman and/or his team undertook the noble effort of recollecting it for us, and rephrased it in today's language so we can understand. In other words, if only we start to read books again or socialize more with people of knowledge (like Br Nouman) then we will be surprised that everything is all laid out and explained and we just need to spend time learning. May Allah guide us.

mashAllah! so very true! i have tried to give up tobacco for 21 years, since i reverted to Islam.. it never stuck. it was always a huge struggle, and the first fitna, i was back to the addiction. finally i gave it up solely for the sake of Allah subhana wa ta'ala, begging him to remove the addiction in order that i can please him in all things in my life. And this time, i didn't even feel it! no withdrawals, only slight discomfort, no struggle, even when i had to be around people smoking (walking down the street, etc). Alhamdullillah! it was impossible for me to stop the addiction, but for him? it was as nothing!

True! I tried to quit smoking a number of times and failed miserably. But this time when I did for the sake of Allah SWT, it was way easier than ever and I did not even get back to it. Something is different when you do something for the sake of Allah paak.
Nouman Ali Khan is one of the few Islamic speakers who easily makes his listeners understand what he says :) A great motivation for the nation, my sincere thanks and gratitude to Allah SWT for being blessed to have known this amazing lecturer

His khutbahs are derived from the popular interpretation of the verses of Qur'an and their meanings.

sometimes im getting scared to hear nouman's lecture. it's like a magic words. it can change my mind and all my atitude. but then i realized i read the quran and same thing they said to prophet muhammad is a magician. so realized again his words from the qur'an. and the quran itself is a miracle. that's the quran is can change your life 😊

Every time I commit a sin, shaytan try to make it hard for me te repent trying to convince me that I m so bad that I am not worthy of Allah's forgiveness, and saying to myself that Allah accept our repent no matter what we do as long as we truly regret it and try hard not to go back to it isn't enough to help me, I remind myself that If there wasn't some good in me God wouldn't have blessed me with Islam so I just need to try harder for him. But sometimes I forget all of that and I feel lost in this dunya so thank you for reminding me again. May Allah gide us all to his path.

Every time I watch Nouman, I feel more tight with Islam and feel as if I have to watch more maashallah may allah put all of us in Jinnah and Nouman
i looked at the duration of the video and i'm like 23 minutes..and then by the second minute of watching i couldn't help but get lost in his words and time flew by. Nauman ali khans content has been my awakening to the true meaning of Islam and has shaped the way i perceive the world now, with love, patience a whole lot of faith. i pray to Allah i become just like him one day. curing and freeing the heart that has been infused with Islam which has been crafted and manipulated by people of power.

You know what's amazing? The way he teaches caters to people who could be at different stages, for example, someone who's trying to get away from the things prohibited by Allah and coming back to the deen & by listening to this they might get that last push which helps them or someone who has left all that behind and is now back on track and listening to this helps in increasing their Imaan, it cements their belief. Very few people are capable of doing that you know and Allah has blessed him with the capability to explain vastly complicated concepts and teachings in a way which even a non-Muslim might be able to grasp, let alone a Muslim. May Allah bless him with rewards in this world and in the next, Ameen.

Salaam alaikum! If there is a reason why i wish Arabic was my first language, that would be because it would have been wonderful if i could understand the arabic Qur'an and struggled to ponder its meaning. Only ALLAH AWJ decides whom to enlighten and I believe, maybe i will be enlightened not by reading the Qur'an by myself but by listening to those who have studied its tafsir. I don't attend the jum'ah salah so I listen to these khutbahs from brother Nouman not only on Fridays but whenever I can. Alhamdulillah 🙏✨🤩. Jazaka ALLAHu khayran katheeran brother. May ALLAH AWJ inspire you so that you may also inspire others to struggle for the sake of ALLAH AWJ. 🙏✨
