Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi has vowed to take action against protesters after more than a week of anti-government demonstrations.
Officials say over 30 people have been killed since protests broke out over the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody.
Raisi pledged to "deal decisively" with the protests, which have now spread to most of Iran's 31 provinces.
Clashes continue in several cities.

It's one thing to want regime change, and another thing entirely to achieve it. A revolution requires planned, organized resistance, not an angry mob. Situations like Egypt overthrowing Mubarak are the exception, not the rule.
It's amazing how it is the 'little things' that set off big things. Not demeaning the young lady in question who was undeniably murdered, but she was simply the spark. The question is how much gunpowder is packed around the spark...if it is a lot, the regime will fall. To quote Princess Leia from Star Wars film, "The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers." I know it's a movie, but the sentiment is historically true.

They need international intervention, this is a regime exsits outside of modern cilivization, with no problem shooting protesters, what we see as crime against humanity thye see as norm. The protest will be brutally put down like what happend in Beijing 1989 if the internetional community just send their thoughts and prayers.

We (the USA) have already tried helping people in Iraq and Afghanistan. We removed the dictators and defeated their military. When it was time to go, the people just sat there. The US built roads, schools and power plants. The new military smoked hashish the whole time. When it was time for them to take over, they RAN AWAY. The US Army could defeat the Iran military and overthrow the dictator in two weeks. Then we'd be stuck there spending big money for the next 20 years trying to train locals who really don't care who runs the country. The US would have to stay there PERMANENTLY. This will have to come from the people. The USA is NOT going to take the chance of getting screwed again.

the problem is, some of Shia Muslim believers outside Iran think this entire protest about Mahsa Amini just a coup that backed from Shia's enemies, like US, Israel, or even Saudi Arabia.. I was Indonesian Sunni Muslim, we have some Shia Muslims too as minority here, and they're all seeing this issue as a thread to their Iranian role model government.. they just blinded by the fact, that majority Iranian people that protests their government fighting the regime, not the religion..
