    • I think cap sleeve blouses are a great option in warmer weather - much more skin coverage than any kind of tank but still a bit cooler than a traditional short sleeved blouse. Plus, they layer well with cardigans and blazers if you’re going in and out of air conditioning. Add in a some ruching at the neckline (rather than crew neck) and it’s even cooler and more feminine without being inappropriate.

    • That's common sense. Code of ethics. The man traditionally wears a garment considered sober and versatile that adapts to different daily occasions, according to his field of activity (uniform), from suit to work overalls. Professional women also followed a similar pattern. Crazed feminism has gotten into women's heads that they can dress and behave as they please and no one can complain. It has become competition, one wants to appear more than the other to draw attention. One day I was watching a comment from a US Navy officer, if they didn't control women's uniforms, many would wear miniskirts, short shorts, and walk around with their uniform shirt tied around their waists and buttons unbuttoned.

  • The dress code in my office is legit homeless chic. People put it no effort - I'm talking yoga pants, sandals, stained cardigans. When I first started working there I was tempted to change my style to fit in, but I still show up looking professional. Nothing over the top - tailored pants, simple blouse, low heels, hair in a bun and light makeup. I get compliments almost EVERY DAY. From colleagues, people who visit the office etc. I feel like because the bar is so low, it makes me look fantastic 😂

I mostly work with very very poor people , so wearing something 'sloppy' makes us juniors a bit more approachable . • When I'm working in my office, I always have a blazer on a hanger. It's useful for many reasons. Depending on the office, you can also wear cap sleeves, the kind that are just an inch or two past your shoulders. I have one very professional summer dress with cap sleeves - I'll wear my blazer if necessary. If you don't work in an office, the rules change ... you should wear clothing just a tiny bit more professional than everyone else. So if jeans and a t-shirt are normal work clothing, wear a fitted tee of high quality fabric and plain dark wash jeans. [My office is on the 41st floor of the tallest skyscraper in the city, and it's a very conservative field, so I need to look very professional.] 8cm is a touch over 3 inches, not quite 3.5".

  • Dressing too casual at work isn’t just an issue for women. I remember when I worked in sports at a major media conglomerate and the CEO was taking a deeper interest in our division’s success so he was scheduled to come by our office of 100 people. The head of production actually had to have a wardrobe conversation with all the men as the tech guys wore flip flops and basketball warmups to work…one guy literally didn’t even own a pair of jeans or khakis and had to go out and buy them to wear on the day that the CEO was coming. 🤦‍♀️

    @andreanielsen5621@andreanielsen56212 жыл бұрын

They were asked to just wear khakis and a t-shirt (not even button up) and closed toed shoes (even tennis shoes ok). It wasn’t asking the world as the other departments already did that. The whole reason behind this video is that presentation and optics matter, and the office environment isn’t an exception. And, the CEO was a traditional media guy from Australia (3 guesses, LOL) not someone who came from the startup tech world where the casual culture is more familiar and acceptable. We didn’t want the CEO to roll into the tour of the office and think that we were a shoddy organization with “slackers” that could be replaced and have even better results.

You know that some colors won’t suit some types of skin undertone and make appear pale or sick even though If you tried the same lipstick for example on another undertone they will look good and healthy. When you take the session you will see yourself that you don’t need tons of make up to glow. Good luck❤️

  • Working in finances I can only agree! The thing suprised me most in the beginning was the "no open shoe and no sleeveless tops", but by now feel absolutely comfortable with them. I also like the way dress pants shape my body a lot more than regular jeans. When it gets very hot in the summer we are allowed to wear blouses with no sleeve, but definetly no spaghetti straps. In my experience you really should not be wearing anything that could be "Sexual" in any shape or form in the office (there sadly will be enough weird clients trying to hit on you anyways). Not saying that wearing grannys wardrobe ist the right way to go, but there are clothes that shape your body without making everyone looking somewhere else instead of your face☺️

Office politics plus what you could do mattered more. I'm not saying it was a good thing but that was the reality. Some women just don't care or have a bad taste.
