~ Audiobook Description ~
When you wish to know something about godly living, where do you look? Is there a better place to look than to the men of the Bible? The Lord, in all His wisdom, left us with a wonderful textbook - the Holy Scriptures.
Some make the mistake of worshiping these heroes of the faith. Others make the mistake of only highlighting these men's weaknesses. Somewhere in the middle, though, is what God intended, and if our heart is right, we can learn all we need to know about healthy, rewarding Christian living from these incredible men of the Lord.
About the Author
Dwight L. Moody, determined to make a fortune, arrived in Chicago and started selling shoes. But Christ found him and his energies were redirected into full-time ministry. And what a ministry it was. Today, Moody's name still graces a church, a mission, a college, and more. Moody loved God and men, and the power of a love like that impacts generations.

  • I made my comments before listening to this video. I like doing that to see if im saying anything that Moody would say. I think lot had a desire to be rich it was all about wealth. But Abraham was a very spiritual man He's eyes was on God and the will of God. Thats why the world cant understand how a sinner once he turns to Christ can be different. When turning to the Lord the desires for the world doesnt have a strong hold on a person anymore. You dont just choose to be that way it happen after Christ comes into a person heart. You began to think like Christ then. Youre about the Fathers business. Your eyes is on making it to Heaven the world doesnt look so good anymore. Amazing How God can change a man. Im sure glad He can and does.

    • Unfortunately, like probably most people, I have sometimes run ahead of the Lord. A few times I thought I knew what it was doing, and logically it made sense, but perhaps I didn't have peace in my spirit. So waiting on the Lord I believe involves waiting on him for clear confirmation in the spirit as well as through wisdom and reading of scripture. I don't know if that makes sense. But I believe that as you move forward, you will learn to discern when it is your will and when it is God's will, especially true after having made a few mistakes. I wish we didn't, but it does seem like that often happens. That we make mistakes, but then, we better learn from them.

  • As i was thinking about Abram given Lot the choice which way to go. God already knew lot would choose to go toward Sodom. Had Abram told Lot to go toward Sodom when Lot did go and found himself in a mess He couldnt blame his problems on Abram because lot chose to go that way. My Son made some bad choice's about 2 weeks ago I tried to tell Him to not go the way He was going but he did it anyway. Now its costing him for not listening. He made his bed to say, Now he's going to have to lay in it. But teens think they know it all. So even though it hurts me to see what he's going thru theres nothing i can do but pray and trust God to help Him. There things teens do that only God can bring them out of. Just like Lot it took the angels of God to take hold of Lot to bring him out. Sometimes you can get what you want and lose what you have. Well i know one thing id rather have God then this whole world and everything in it. All that stuff wont mean nothing when you die. I dont know why people let junk get such a hold on them to were they think its worth going to Hell over. Lot came out of Sodom but i wonder if Sodom ever came out of Him.

  • In The days of Noah, God looked upon the earth, and saw that all the inhabitants were full of sin and sinful thoughts, except Noah and his family.... Yet, you stated that God couldn't look at His Son upon The Cross because he couldn't look upon the sin that he bore. Isn't it because he couldn't bear to see His Son Suffer??? Does anyone have an answer to this???🙏

    • I don't know, does the Bible say that God couldn't look at Jesus because of the sin that he bore? I personally doubt that that was the reason. I don't know that God even didn't look at Jesus on the cross. All that we have is that Jesus said my God my God, why have you forsaken me. But that doesn't mean that God didn't see him there.

Basically same thing the devil tells Jesus when he takes him to tallest mountain. At that time David’s lord was Jesus and he was a melchisidek preist. Paul questions quotes in hebrews at what time did an he an angel say sit my right hand etc…. It’s all exposing Yahweh angel worship from what I can tell.

One side was paradise, where Old Testament saints went when they died, the other side was where the non believers went when they died. So Jesus had not yet ascended to His Father, when He did ascend to His Father He took the captives from the paradise side up to His Father. So now paradise is empty on that side. Only the side with non believers have all of them held there until the Great White Throne Judgement! I do hope this helps you to understand what the Old Testament called that place, it was Sheol. Should the sacrifices of any other spiritual masters, besides Jesus the Christ, who devoted their lives to giving us the truth, which has brought us to our present state of consciousness, be rejected as "works"?

      @skykennedy3574@skykennedy35749 ай бұрын
    • @@skykennedy3574 My understanding according to scripture is that there is no source of spiritual light outside of Jesus Christ (John 8:12). However, in-as-much as others are following Christ, we are allowed to follow them (1 Corinthians 11:1). The commandments to be holy as Christ is holy originates from the Lord, not from man, therefore we're not obeying manmade works, but Christ himself. That is the different. All other light though, outside of Christ, is false light. Even the devil comes as an angel of light, but it's an imitation, not the real thing.
