i like your other videos but this one sounded like an ad from oppo. you really downplayed s23+. it has ip68, better software (oppo has backed in ad in there software) and in the end you didnt even said the price of oppo which is the major selling point of oppo (according to you).

I got the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ instead of the Galaxy S23+ as an upgrade and I am very happy with it.
I think Oppo tried to attract market that has been eyeing s23 plus but thinking it's a bit overpriced. This reno 10plus is definitely caught my attention if it is really cheaper than the s23plus since now the price is around 850-900 $ offline in my country
With no Find X6 Pro released in the UK, this OPPO Reno10 Pro+ looks a solid second choice. We do not have to forsake too much and the main take is we get the excellent primary and zoom cameras, Also, the price is unconfirmed but is likely to be at least £250 less than the S23+ list price. The older SD8+G1 is not a big downgrade as it is also TSMC, and not as bad as Samsung-made SD8G1. In any case the extra RAM is far more performant for most than a better chip. The OS support should be similar. Sadly, the US and its anti-China sentiment will miss out on another choice and Samsung will continue to benefit from an anti-competitive US market that must suck for those that love smartphone tech.
hmm you could get the global version of the X6 Pro though no? Would be nice to see for the camera how this compares to the X5 pro and the X6 pro
@@markedwards7109 There is no global OPPO Find X6 Pro. Issues in Europe with Nokia and no Chinese OEM risking the US, OPPO decided that they could not make it pay.
S23p is equipped with S8g2, made in TSMC like s8g1+
If I’m getting this much hardware less than s23 plus, I am definitely going to pick reno 10pro+ over S23 plus.
In terms of software support (4 years on Samsung), added features, one UIs pretty credibility, the quality and affordable wearable ecosystem, Samsung will always be miles ahead.
Oppo also announce the same but again they are late and the ecosystem is still unpar with samsung

I see my neighborhood "Staples", the local skateboard park, etc. We've probably run into one another at the Timmy's on Brentcliffe 😊. My wife and I live in Leaside Towers. A few quick questions: 1. What is the price of the Oppo in CDN$, and where can I purchase one in Toronto? 2. Is the phone compatible with Bell 5G? 3. A more general question...do you ever sell any of your devices after you've done your reviews? Right now I am using a Galaxy S22, and I have 4-5 months left on my contract. I am looking to upgrade at that time. I prefer slightly smaller devices...any suggestions?
Thanks Sheldon! That's definitely possible. If you see me make sure to say high :P. I'm not exactly sure what the price of the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ would be here in Canada as it's not sold here. You would have to import it from overseas. It does work on TELUS/Bell and it does receive 5G but I'd have to confirm if it receives all the 5G bands. For smaller phones, you're basically looking at the regular S23 or the ASUS Zenfone 10 which a lot of people love!
Crazy that Oppo release this worldwide and not Find X6 pro
They lost a lawsuit to Nokia I believe, so they were barred from selling their flagships overseas. Some leaks suggest find x8 will be available globally tho.

How many updates does Oppo give?
Firm believer of stock Android, been using OnePlus devices for quite awhile now. Had OnePlus 5, 7t, 9pro. Using 9 pro currently, was a little skepticle when I got the update for oxygen/color os update but it grew on me, been using it for quite a while now. Got good features and the amount of customisation it offers. Not impressed with the notification bar though.

That OPPO would be very tempting if I was in the market for a high end phone, but I use my iPhone 14 mostly for texting and taking pictures of my cats so most of the features of either phone would be wasted on me.

The Galaxy S23+ has a 10MP telephoto camera. You said it has an 8MP telephoto camera. You also said S23+ can shoot 4K 30 using the selfie camera, but it’s 4K 60.
Yup! UP TO 4K 60. but I shot at 4K 30 because my videos are at 4K 30. also, you're correct about the tele lens. Slip up on my part! I'll pin a comment.

Not sure if I just missed it but you kept saying the Oppo phone was cheaper and you definitely said the price of the Galaxy phone but I don’t recall hearing you actually give the price of the Oppo. Hard to ask for an opinion between the two when you don’t give the full picture.
The pricing has not yet been released but estimates are for the UK about £800 for 12GB/256GB. The S23+ is £1050 for comparisons.

Chinese phone brands have great rear cameras but the front facing are just mediocre. Still a great phone for the price.
The S23+ was cleaner with its front camera but the OPPO handled dynamic range much better in the video. I only use 1080p for video calls as that is all we need, and I am not a selfie fanatic, and generally use the UW of the rear camera in any case.

There is no comparison if you consider the price..with that price no other brand is giving but oppo gives everything except videography..I am not talking about ip rating and reverse wireless charging ..I never find any useful of wireless or reverse wireless charging..so

I have a S23 and just bought and Oppo 10 Pro Plus. I love the way the Oppo feels in my hand and feel really good with is so far. I found one Bug around the Home Button on the bottom of the screen, but maybe there's a fix for it.

First off, the Samsung is far overpriced for what you're getting. While I would definitely prefer the Gen 2 processor I would still choose the Oppo. However, I looked past both of these devices and purchase the OnePlus 11. It completely outperforms both of them and comes it at a much better price.
What about the camera?
@@siriusblack0607 the hasselblad camera system works incredibly. In fact, my GF has an iPhone 14 pro Max and she often borrows my phone to use the cameras. Especially, when were at an ice hockey game. The colorescience does a much better job of filtering out the harsh light from the bright ice surface. Hasselblad colorescience is second to none and that's why professional photographers use hasselblad equipment. They have been designing the best cameras in the world since 1941.
@@siriusblack0607 although, this is not really a serious test between the two device is being discussed in the video. The oneplus 11 is really more of a competitor between the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra and the Google pixel 7 Pro.

Hasselblad color science has been the standard since 1941 and has been apart of the OnePlus lineup since the 9 series. Frankly, I seriously doubt you've ever used a OnePlus phone and it's difficult to take you seriously. In addition, the OnePlus 11 is easily a rival to the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra and the Google Pixel 7 pro in every capacity. That is why it has gained such great reviews from almost everyone online. Honestly, I do not see the point of these "semblance of high-end" sold with the processors of the high-end of last year, but less good than the high-end of last year on all points except perhaps on the processor side, and in addition, more expensive than what these old high-end currently cost 🤔 The only thing this Oppo has better than the S23 Plus is the number of screen ppi 🤧 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️
The OPPO has a significantly better zoom, 64mp. It has 12GB base RAM, it costs about £250 less, has 100 watt fast charging (10 mins gets 50%), self-healing battery tech, etc. The S23+ has a year's more OS support, and latest UFS 4.0, but otherwise OPPO easy win if spec chasing. At the end of the day a Samsung fan will always be biased for the S23+ and that is fair enough as you obviously like what Samsung gives.

@@rolins3279 for those that can wait then the Oppo will have fallen in price and as it already is significantly lower than the S23 plus list price then I expect it will continue to be value. In any case, the deals on the S23 plus are carrier loaded and once the fine print is counted then the marketing price becomes less value. The reality is that the Reno is much cheaper if you compare their prices as per the respective brand website.

@@mubienkvape OPPO are like Apple. When they discount they do it through third party stores. In the UK, they sell via Amazon and the Find X5 Pro is now £715 (new) down from £1050! Renewed as low as £450.
