Some weeks we need to do tidy and prep for the next phase of a project or the next project. As we film week to week it’s just what’s got to be done! Very needed!

Happy Sunday Scotters family❤ It's always a happy day for me when a new video comes out! It definitely feels good to sort out neglected areas. I've been doing a bit of that this week too!! I think your lemon tree may not be getting enough sun to produce a lot of lemons. The good news is if you plant more lemon trees, I think they will have fruit quite soon! I'm looking forward to all the things coming up, garden, chickens, bedrooms in the barndominium and of course the main house! I loved Betsy's lip balm!❤

I love the little temp house. I can’t wait to see the bedrooms. This will be a place for all your visitors to be able to stay after you get the big house . You use such good products even though they are throw sways or finds. Your minds are amazing how you put things together. Your property is beautiful and you are always trying to keep natural. That green explosion is magnificent! I live in the Arizona desert! We have some vegetation and trees but nothing like what u have! The midges are hard to cope with but OMG you have a Lemon!! 🍋🍋🍋🍋 The children must be thrilled to have all that space to live in after so many yrs on the bus! You guys are so amazing! It is so satisfying to see all of you enjoying the space in the finished areas of your barn house! It is beautiful! I can't wait for your phase 2, bedrooms, and bathroom of your house! Loved that you now have the space to cook, prepare, and eat in your new kitchen! That was a great little project of making lip balm using honey and lemon! Honey, especially raw, unfiltered honey is healing and I'm glad that you have instructed your daughter to use a wooden spoon to handle the honey as metal will destroy the beneficial properties of the honey! Removing all of the stacked wood and debris was a good idea! The spring is a time of growth for the foliage and critters that like to move into the shelter of debris and wood stacks. Everything grows so fast in the spring, but if not cleared, become a fire hazard when it dries. Love your single lemon on your newly discovered lemon tree, but I also thought that I saw a fig tree! Did you know that you can eat the young grape leaves? They are used in Greek cooking to make dolmas, but i have used the young new leaves of my grape vines to cook as just a pot herb. I am amazed at your energy and creativity! What a lot of work just maintaining the land!
"Toady mcToad-face" is prolly not the only guest that would find the wood pile comfy, Portugal hosts quite a nice selection of snakes (some venomous)... Point is not to scare you but more to make you aware and to be vigilant when lifting wood or stones and even metal sheeting (roofing). Especially where the kids are involved. Chances are they will want to flee long before they're seen, but there is always chance they get surprised and will appreciate a gentle usher to move on with a broom stick( without harming them of course)
Watching your family all together,doing different activities, was very satisfying. Such a zen spot. And a dish washer to boot🥰. ❤️🇨🇦
I agree tidying up before starting on more work is so necessary for one’s sanity 😂 This time of year the project just pile up on you. It will be good to have a little home to be able to relax in.
Beautiful lemon….I agree with you…start planting fruit trees. No need to get overwhelmed and plant 50 of them but I would suggest planting 5 now and then 5 in the Fall and again 5 next Spring and 5 next Fall. Fruit trees take time to mature so once they are planted they do not need a huge amount of care and you will be glad when you see them starting to produce fruits. That’s what we have done here in Chile and after 5 years all the trees are now producing and I am making fig preserves and quince jam as I am watching your video. It will be fabulous to eat them on a winter day. If you don’t start planting them this year, it is one more year without a production of some fruits. It will be exciting for the kids if you get them involved :). I loved the beginning of the video where you can see your family enjoy that new space. I am very happy to hear that the children are doing great at school. Well done everyone.

Love it all! Please clean the geram area around the barn because of the fire hazard! All this precious work and your family have to be 100% protected. The fires in Portugal can get out of control in the summer. All the best for you guys. ❤

Betsy did a great job as well! Nice to see you take time off from building projects to do other bits and pieces. It’s very easy to become too focused on building projects, they then seem to take on an”all encompassing” dread! The project seems to grow too important and everything else goes to pot. As my mum used to say, “tidy and children don’t go together, if the place is too tidy then the children aren’t enjoying life!” ❤

Those wood chips will make great weed suppressant mulch for around the base of those olive trees, which just may be a tad too close to your road... WOW what a lovely pile of leaves under that rotting wood! More deliciousness for the compost pile.

thank you for another enjoyable video. but I'm afraid your driveway will fall apart again. you will need to lock the smaller stones in place with bigger stones or a log dug into the ground. ideally this is positioned slightly diagonal, so it will divert water of to the side. this will also reduce the risk of ruts forming in the unpaved section.

I’m absolutely a novice but next time your lemon tree flowers, you might look into artificially pollenating the flowers. I saw on another show where they artificially pollinated the blooms since they were not getting any bees in that area. So - give the tree sun to bloom and healthy pollenates.

thought you had apple trees down near the river? they needed some TLC, it's been some time since you been down there... how clever making your own lip balm, lovely flavours too; you could try making in bulk & selling a few to replenish your stocks? would be your 1st business adventure? nice idea with extending the kids area, sounds like fun raised beds around your outdoor kitchen would be perfect for vegie gardens, even one in front of the tiny home :)) fill them in with all that leaf matter & all those twigs can't wait til next week thanx for sharing
