When I first heard Bernadettes theoretical burn i was watching with my family and we all shouted DAMN. It was perfect.
Yea, me too. I think that one earned a GODDAMN.
I don’t do the “ooh” noise even when I hear a nasty burn, but that…that deserved it. I did it again just by watching this clip. So iconic it deserves an Emmy by itself.
The episode where the gang is having the celebratory dinner for Mrs. Wolowitz is the episode where Howard finally notices Bernadette sounds like his mother.
But the little hints along the way .. like every now and again he would be like, 'does anyone ever notice how sexy she sounds when she speaks like that?' a couple times throughout the show

....As played to perfection by Stephen Root (Milton from "Office Space"). I think they should have added him to the show in a greater role than they gave him, I think he's probably in the show for less than 5 minutes all told, which is a shame. And IDK what they were thinking by making Bert the Geologist a more prominent character. Poor guy was never given anything funny to say and when he talked it was always just to put himself down. That's obviously the fault of the writers and producers and not the actor - but the point is Bert has no reason to be in the show. He was the butt of Sheldon's snarky comments about geology, and that's all he was ever allowed to be.
The scavenger hunt, when she attacks Leonard for slowing down for a bird by saying, "you know they can fly. Right?"

@@andrewjones575 Ever have friends that you got more and more fed up with over the years? She never was a calm, uncritical person, and they were never easy to deal with. Things just got worse, including adding two children into the stress quotient. I see either a bunch of therapy and medication, or divorce in their after-series lives.

Bernadette was not in the scene, but the episode when Penny is interviewing for a position at the pharmaceutical firm. The hiring manager quickly exposes that Penny has no meaning "technical qualifications." Penny says she only came to the interview because she was afraid of Bern. The manager then has a me too moment.

Howard switches his dependence from his mother to Bernadette. He doesn't grow up.
Let’s be honest, don’t most men do that.
But he does somewhat grow up when they have kids, at least he does have a part that becomes responsible and doesn't make Bernadette raise the kids by herself.
@Christopher Bingham *most* he fills in every now and again which is something I never even expected of him .. but gradually we start seeing him take more of a responsible father role in his children's lives .. it wasn't ever going to happen overnight

@@theluschmaster Howard does very few household duties & not much parenting. He wrongly refers to spending time with his own kids as babysitting. He remains immature & dependent. I don't understand why many viewers claim that he becomes mature & independent through his relationship with Bernadette.
Bernadette is actually just a mean person with a high pitch voice and sweet smile.
When their relationship starts, she's a poor waitress but he's already an engineer & earns more than her, so she's wrong to snipe at him for earning less than her years later.

I feel like just in general, when you are in a relationship with someone you claim to love you shouldn't feel the need to take swipes at how much your partner makes - especially not as much as she does. A joke every now and again I guess is fine but this went too overboard.
@Christopher Bingham it also probably also goes back to their childhoods. Bernadette and Howard are up very differently and I am sure that Bernadette vowed to herself that she would grow up and make money - while on the other hand - Howard doesn't seem to have much of an issue with money as he grows in a household where all of his needs are met.

It's a shame how they turned a character who was super sweet with the rare snap to her, into just a straight up bully who just attacks all of her "friends"

All 3 main actresses seem to be born for these BBT roles, but the writers obviously get major credit too... so hard to hand out the laugh credits. The dynamics changed so much when they added Bernadette... then Amy. 3 totally different styles of comedy between them.

Every one of these is precisely where it needs to be on this list... especially the honorable mentions. There was little to no doubt on my mind that Bernie's shot about Amy and Sheldon's "lack of intimacy" was going to be number one!!

I am a fan of the actress Melissa Rauch, since watching the movie The Bronze. In both characters, she plays oddball characters, but totally different - a testament to her acting ability.

I think it's actually pretty cold that Bernadette said Howard should make more money. She's actually in a career that is relatively pretty harmful to people, at least from which he says where she's always working with dangerous diseases and chemicals that could possibly kill thousands of people if they ever got out. And just because she does things like for pharmaceutical companies she's obviously going to make more money than an engineer.

However, the topper to everything had to be the dinner where she chewed out Sheldon and Lennard while sounding like Howard's mother.
