Little Boston Whaler eats up the waves like BOSS
Love the drone shots! Offers a wonderful perspective and gives some scale you don't get from the shore.
Absolutely love the drone shots, takes the action to another level, keep it going!
So underrated. The drone pilot gets no CREDIT. REALLY, GIVE THEM CREDIT!
The Whaler shows the difference between a captain who knows how to pilot a small boat and one that doesn’t. So many of these guys are scared to get on the power, especially the lake boat captains who continually let the bow go under a wave and flood the forward compartment.
Indeed, you can hear the captain throttling up and down quite regularly, indicating effective use of throttle to manage the bow.
That's why the BTL girls do so well. Not afraid to get on the power and keep the bow high.
Also, it's a Boston Whaler. Unsinkable and inspiring.
I thought one of those lures flying around was going to catch the passenger in the neck.
Can't beat a Boston Whaler!
2:45 that lure about to ruin one of those guys' day 😂
"keep an eye on pink shorts..." Got it!
I thought that was a vanquish or pardo yacht. Those r my favorite!!!
The Fjord looks like a boat made of Legos.
I was thinking "Tinkertoy" but same!
That is one homely dude, and the paint scheme didn't help. It was lumbering in the water.
That's one ugly boat.
Fr
Hey Legos aren't ugly! ;
DRONE SHOTS ARE KILLER!!
Now he has DRONE SHOTS OF THE DRONES. Awsome
Your drone shots are the best!
Love the drone shots. Most boaters don’t seem to mind being “followed” by the drones.
That hideous blue and red Fjord made me want to claw my eyes out!
The Florida pool pump motor repair guy 32750 approved ! that was good info & see Wavy Boats
That Reef Runner looks like the old top-heavy Pen Yan tunnel drive inboards. They always sway like hell because with a person on the bridge the boat is way too heavy over its axis. They are essentially tubs but the tunnel drive is great for diving because it cuts down on the risk of shredding your diver. There are tanks, so this looks like a charter diving expedition. Captain did about as could be done with this blob of a vessel... :)
Don’t listen to the others. We love the drone shots. You and @broncosguru get us through winter being on Lake Erie
With that low of a draft and all the fish he must have in his holds, I think the Captain did a fine job. I know one thing for sure.... It's not everyday you see a Midnight Ex stuff the bow but sometimes, when they do, it's a site to behold cause EVERYbody gets soaked!
Drone shots are great. Keep them coming. Also maybe not be bad if you show the surroundings of the inlet from time to time for a few seconds, so we can feel the atmosphere there.
Not sure that you read comments, but this is important. GIVE CREDIT TO THE DRONE PILOT!
While the Whaler did a good job, their lures were whipping around looking for the back of an arm or a neck to hold onto.
Really like the drone shots! Great filming!
Great drone shots especially of the boat that floored it off to the left of the rock wall into calmer waters, which was a smart move. Great shots of Midnight Express. What a beautiful boat which handles well it seems!!!
Amazing footage and the drone shots are excellent. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Kudos to the Drone Pilots.... I fly a drone so I have a good idea how difficult those shots are... never mind with 2 drones in the air at the same time. The control is amazing. Also Amazing..... I didn't see even one Trump 2024 Boat Wrap....🤣
Mystery Boat #1 probably a 'Check Mate'. Mystery boat #2 is a 'Mako'. The 'Boston Whaler' (Montawk 17 CC) probably did it best, but that cathedral hull is a slamming ride. I think the Reef Runner did fine but it looked awkward, probaby a Stamas (sp?) They just don't have a lot of freeboard, especially at the bow - it's architecturally drawn to be the same as the stern. Yeah, I like the drone shots. Cool to see the same run from multiple angles.
#1 definitely not a Checkmate.
#1 I was thinking Checkmate too, then thought maybe its an old Baja or Wellcraft nova.
My favorite has to be the Midnight Express, it is the epitome of sleek and powerful .
Some pretty good captains out there today. I thought that Reef Roamer was gonna gulp it but made a nice recovery. Drone shots are cool too.
Yesssss….love the drones too!!!! 😊😊😊
Every naval architect should be studying these videos based on what they want their boat/hull to do. So much information in watching these. Every boat buyer should watch to understand how either the boat they bought or the one they want will act in these conditions. I live on the Merrimack River which can be really harsh, but man almost nothing like this.
When you see that smaller Boston Whaler navigate that with no issues.... a lot rides on the design.... but also on the competency of the helmsman. ( I wouldn't refer to many of those as 'Captains")
I’ve come in the Merrimack before with the tide going out and the wind coming in It’s no picnic Mostly, I was around the Eagle River My sister lived there with my former brother-in-law Who owns Greenpoint boatyard Caught a lot of stripers up there had a hell of a lot of fun
1:45...WHERE does he think hes going, with those white horses in the open 🌊..?..he will surely go down to see ol Davie Jones locker..😱
I think that last blue boat was trying to spray down the drone! ;
From Manchester in the UK... the drone shots make all the difference. Your vids are constantly fascinating but I can't believe so many boat owners don't wear life-jackets! It's almost as if they don't expect the inlet to be so confused and violent at times! Fascinating though it is, I think I'll stick to the British canal system where a wake of 4 inches is quite a lot! Ha-Ha! Keep up the good work!
Great job Tony and Arty!
Lots of wavy action the wind the ferocity of the steely waves make it even more extraordinary. Just looking my supper went down fast! There people are extremely strong! Congrats for the dronee work. From all white Ottawa Ontario Canada.
The drones are amazing . Pure magic .
4:01 - Identified the boat right away (just from watching these vids lately.) Thanks for the edumacation!
Would love to see a swordfish trawler go through it haha 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't see any struggling , Captain knew exactly how to handle it .
Drone shots are very much appreciated keep them coming there awesome.
Boston whaler doet het goed,de man weet hoe je de golf neemt 🎉
Love drone footage. My dad always had a boat and I always enjoyed going out on it but I never did anything right on it docking or launching. I was always the dummy to him so I never wanted to own one thank goodness. But at least I’m smart enough to know better than to try to go out in rough conditions like that . What’s the fun in getting beat to death and your boat is getting pounded. I always said boat people have more money than sense !
Love the drone shots. The FAA says they’re perfectly legal, too. If you don’t want to be photographed when you’re in public there is a solution…stay home and close the blinds. Photography is everywhere.
Posting on internet isn’t as black/white as
I look at these boats now and remember back when we had a 17’ shallow V with a Johnson 70hp on the back of it in the very early 70s😂 If my dad got it up to 45mph we thought we were hauling ass!
I like the drone shots.
I drive the Reef Romer. That skipper did a pretty good job. You have to understand it's a single engine inboard with 8 adults all their kit and 20-25 air tanks dragging the stern end down.
I'm sure it got said already, but I just saw this video. Trim is a wonderful thing.......wow
Between 5:04 and 5:16 skipper lost his cap and didn’t notice 😂
Liking the drone shots!Shows how challenging this can be.
That Fjord sucks. Capt had the bow trimmed way up and still took a soaking.
It's not what it's built for, it's a Mediterranean boat, it will handle the rough but it's not where it excells.
My favorites are the Midnight Express ❤
Drone shots are great, and your camera work is also top-notch! Thanks!
The pursuit at around 4:40 did a really great job!
The shots you get with the drone are awesome, great perspective 👍👍👍👍
All of these hammers with the motors trimmed all the way down 🤣
Great shots! Keep up the good work!
Perfect reminder of why Im blessed to have a bunch of finger lakes to enjoy right here in the state of NY. Those ocean waves don't look appealing at all.
Great angles on the videos. Really show what these captains are up against.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
mystery boat #1 is a Donzi and # 2 is a Mako.... * thumbs up from Lake George, NY !!
3:00 tiny boat, tiny brain….w their angles hanging loose🤯😱🤯
Drone is cool👍💯🏴☠️
I❤ the drone shots
Drone shots are awesome! Thanks!
Yes, drones!
Love the drone shots!!
love the drone footage
Hi Wavy, if you are refering to the Fuord, that is a millon dollars of ugly.
North Carolina Love the drone shots keep up the great work I used to go to Haulover to watch, it's a nasty cut
Midnight Express is a legend of a boat. They design it to a T
love the drone shots
That Fjord represents a million dollars ill spent.
Drone shots rock!
Drone shots are awesome.
Drone shots are great!
I love the drone shots
The drone shots are great but I'd prefer them a bit farther away from the boats. I get that it completely legal n there's no assumption of privacy in public, but following the boats could be seen as annoying. As for my favorite boat, that Viking was pretty sweet.
the waves were amazing and the ships
Ole Blue Shorts had Brown Shorts after that!
Drone shots are nice.
I guess they think "small craft advisory " doesn't apply to their boats lol
Mystery boat #1 is a 1990 donzi black widow with an outboard conversion.
Watching this from UK. Love the drone shots. Ace Was watching some earlier vids too. Amazed that Americans think life jackets are to be keep in lockers and not worn ! 🤬
It’s amazing to us that Brit’s think the government should control every aspect of our lives Cheers
You obviously have NEVER been involved with rescues at sea !!!!! I have. QED
I traditionally stay home when it’s that rough!
Dude.. if you are going out of that inlet and you still have your fenders hanging over the side.. I think you’re in the wrong place.. 😂
what is that object that pops up at 5:08?
I love the Midnight Express boats
What is the object the Pursuit is hitting at 5:10?
Looks like a cooler to me. I bet it fell off one of those jetskis
@@colinbarnes705 Yes, You are right, must be one.
Wish I was there! Next best thing!
Stupidity cones in many forms, those who see that churning sea and keep heading out& those like that viking who does not realize you are responsible for that wake. Its amazing to me the lack of common sense , and lack of courtesy people exhibit boating.I’ve even witnessed coast guard vessels tipping past boats never slowing, no whistles for passing ever blown.Nuts!
Looks like the builders forgot to put the wheels on that Fjord before it left the factory
That place is a workout for your Bilge pump!
Some of these guys have massive blindspots in front of their boat without sliwing down.
Every time a drone appears on my screen I think it’s an insect. 😂
To each his own, but I’ve never liked filling my boat with salt water.
verry nice
Mystery boat #1 Maybe a 19-24 ft Scarab maybe. It kinda looked like one I seen at Lake Of The Ozarks 3-4 years ago
I think the mystery boat is a ‘everybody look at me I love myself 3000’. Probably a 1993 model
Amazing how the waves just disappear at a certain point in the inlet
I've watched a ton of these Haulover videos and am amazed how almost nobody wears a life jacket..
That colorful boat ran over something at 5:10
Great channel
