idk but spoiler warning? when i first listend to it during the picnic i thought how calming it was, i felt warm inside and maris smile was just amazing now that i have finished the game, it reminds me how sad omori is and i just start crying

For me, it’s really a combination of both. I mean, I felt sad even when I first heard this (something about the photo album hit me right away), but it’s sorta the innocent bliss combined with the truth that got me.

My theory is that Mari is around as a ghost Not only is Mari's spirit seen playing the piano, as well as other people than Sunny being able to hear it, 1 or 2 posts on OMORI's twitter have hinted at Mari either being a ghost or watching over Sunny and the others and yes, I did come up with this to bring the game back down to "safe" levels so I can avoid crying
for the longest time I couldn't find out why this song was so familiar to me until it hit me yesterday that a close friend of mine who I may or may not have been blind to her hints towards me played this song on her piano and when I played this game i just got sad whenever I heard it because she moved lot to long ago but at the time I just didnt know why it made me sad

I used to think it was a sort of magical realism story (a literary genre), where the story incorporates certain fantastical elements to it's narrative, but it turned out to be a bit more of a ''the marvelous real'' (as dubbed by Alejo Carpentier) type of story, wherein the story does have a touch of marvel and visions of the fantastic, but based off pure realism. That might've sounded a bit pompous, but what I'm trying to say is that Omori is a story rooted in realism; every fantasy element to it can be traced back to Sunny's mental instability and desire to not perceive reality as it is. The closest we get to confirmation that the fantastical elements are real is Basil talking about ''something'', but that's clearly him wanting to detach Sunny from his terrible actions as a way to defend his friend and possibly protect himself. This is getting ranty, but I believe none of the horror, magical or otherwise unrealistic elements of the story are actually real, but rather the product of the mind of someone immensely troubled and scarred by deep psychological trauma.

Being a big sister isn't always simple. We love our little siblings and want to be by their side to see them becoming the best person in the world. Because we often see that potential in them. I like Mari because she is what I aspire to be as a big sister but she also makes mistakes just like I do. But that's because it is not a simple thing to protect our siblings even from themselves sometimes. __spoilers___ It is a bit chilling to know the fact that she died for wanting Sunny to play perfectly at the recital. She did put a lot of pressure on him but she did that mistake because she wanted him to be the best. She remembers me to stay calm and try not to be too harsh. Thank you for this long version ❤

I developed anxiety about school long with a lot of other problems but if you try and make small changes with things that make you uncomfortable no one will judge you for it ^_^

I finished this game months ago and even though I loved it I couldn’t really bring myself to cry (Spoilers below for the game) The story Kel tells Sunny at the graveyard about Hero after Mari’s death made me cry but not the final duet or other parts of the game like Sunny fighting Omori (even though I loved the music) My brain is a strange place edit: Replayed this game for the 5th time and Final Duet made me cry
I never cried during the game, but the duet got me really close.
let's be real, after (spoiler alert) the first weird thing with basil in HS everyone internally cried for the rest of the gameplay lol
Picnics with Mari are where you feel most safe. This song just reminds me of that.

I'd only found out about Omori recently, and I'd mostly gotten over the sadness of the game. This song or any other song related to Mari always made me nervous or anxious, so I'm building tolerance by listening to it.

SPOILERS BELOW (kinda) The first time I heard this, I felt so happy. It was so warm and welcoming. Mari was so helpful and kind. Everyone in the group was so happy. Then I noticed that it played every time you would visit Mari at her picnics. I would always look forward to having more picnics ahead because I would hear this song, also because it was really cool to listen to the picnic conversations. After finishing the game, I my chest is in so much pain. Every time I hear this song, I can't hold back the tears. This game has been amazing, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to play it. It should truly be known as one of the greatest games of all time.
I know it's only been like two years, but they need to make another one that focuses primarily on Mari.

@@_rivlin_4947 played it through 18 days ago and first 10 days I really felt super depressed. Its honestly remarkable how well a piece of fiction, especially a game made in RPG Maker, can inflict emotional pain on its players. Kind of makes me reflect on the fleetingness of happiness, to appreciate even the small things we have and to be grateful for them and to make the most out of every day.

My life might not be best, but it will get better once u start to make it more happy, and stop thinking about these things. Having bad times doesnt mean youre having a bad time all the time
I got no idea how your supposed to save someone from suicide. From what I know (which is probably not alot) bringing up good memories would just make things worse for them.
