In this leather craft video I make a tooled leather skin for my cell phone case. The skin has an added card pocket that comes in handy for the times when I may not want to carry both a phone and a wallet. Cell phone cases are just another place that can be a blank canvas for custom leather work. I hope you enjoy the video and get inspired to customize your own case.

  • Excellent tip on the drill press. I warped my case when attempting this by using the hammer and stitching fork. I thought my only remedy was using a full silicon case which are pretty cheap in quality, thank you!

  • Nicely done beautiful finish on the leather, question, is that a hard case or a silicone one? Also what about the stitches from the inside, it doesn't affect fitting the phone?

    • Thank you. It is silicone. Does not effect the phone for very much. Maybe slightly but not bad at all.

  • Would love to try this, but as a beginner it seemed there was 100 products to buy. I have my tools, thread, varnishing gum and leather cement. All these products are a little intimidating. Not your fault, absolutely amazing work and it never said for beginners lol

    • Thanks. Should be Fiebing’s Pro Dye, walnut & chocolate. Fiebing’s antique finish. Fiebing’s mink oil liquid. RTC Sheridan Resist & Finish.
