    • well it was like that. car started throttling when it was full on gas and when gas was low it worked normal. if it was opposite it would make sense. so car on the end it didnt even go over 130kmh. so i drove it to my mechanic he plug it on pc didnt show a thing. then i drove to 2 more, then on original service when it stood for 3days, they even make calls to germany, all said it was the first case. all of them said about 5most expensive things that could be wrong. then i drove it to a friend, who fixes luxury cars from all around europe he drove he didnt have a clue. then he recomemnded me a guy who only work on marcedes. i drove to him he had it for 2 weeks. it finally showed for less then 1sec error on one of the *nnozzles not sure if it is the word*.then i said ok lets try even tho its the most expensive thing. he change all of them and he said it was weird the car was even still driving couze they were completly burn. so y i spend about 1500€ for all, was actually was very cheap. i should pay aldredy 1000€ on original service but everybody went on my hand..:)

  • My wife and I have owned many of these over the years. You only live once so you might as well have the best. We started with the a 6s. 5 years ago we bought an a8l. 2 days ago we bought another a8l and are keeping the old one. These cars have so many options on them and are a pleasure to drive. As far as breakdowns there really haven't been any. If you do your maintenance they will last a long time. I hope they never quit building these and don't go to an electric version. They get pretty good fuel economy too. We're averaging 24 mpg. The American car companies are way behind what this one will do..

  • Ok the comments in here are hilarious... "So many sensors, a nightmare to fix, my village mechanic can't even fix my 2008 Daimler.... I'm working in development for this car and I can tell you, you guys are not the target group lol. This car is made for high government officials, managers, people that have drivers. The back of the car is basically a mobile office. So yeah, is don't think it's really practical for general mechanics or private people because Audi couldn't care less with this car.

    • This exactly. I was in the German army and our minister of defence used this car to get around, reinforced ofc. Once she visited our barracks and I saw it up close very impressive. But nonetheless it was a maxed out audi a8. The people commenting here how it costs so much or how service is unaffordable probably have no idea that the a8 is a business car made for businessmen that don't give a damn about money.

    • Kavindu Gilshan actually what makes it high tech is the technology behind it and mostly the software, the price of the maintenance isn‘t really effected that much. Once all the cameras censors and special features are installed they almost never need to be replaced

    • Audi A8 is actually pretty reliable. My friend has a 2016 Audi A8. Absolutely no problems after nearly 4 years. Only maintenance, no repairs have been done.

  • Now technically i WOULD say 'just a lot to break' But keep in mind that these cars have cpu's for just about anything, amazing rust-prevention, etc If you keep the ability to read codes and whatnot, you can fix just abiut anything, only issue is if some cpu breaks and there's no replacement.
