First saw Inkwell Cottage on Kirsten and Joerg's '2 Germans in Britain' KZhead channel. They LOVED it, and because of their enthusiasm -- I really remembered this unique cottage. The owner was just so charming and down to earth. Both cottages were just delightful and the settings were magical. I bookmarked these two treasures. I always prefer some sort of home stay rather than a hotel.

Absolutely beautiful, both homes. My dream home. Sadly me and my family moved to Australia so for the past 56 years l have lived in Suburban Brisbane with no countryside we are allowed to walk across and nowhere to walk my dogs freely. I am an artist, my inspiration is from Moreton Bay which is very pretty but the English countryside will always draw me. A very lovely lady you seem to be with a wonderful lifestyle, you do not need a Jude Law to mess it up.

I live in Australia and I buy English magazines, one of which featured Inkwell cottage. Shortly afterwards, I saw it on an episode of Kirsten and Joerg's youtube channel. It's absolutely beautiful. I dream of living in the English countryside.
What about living in the AUSTRALIAN countryside??
@@Secretorder13Australia doesn't really have a countryside. It's bush or outback, nowhere near as green as England. It's a much harsher landscape here.

Hi my name is Richard Baoh. Moved to Burma in 1997. Started a furniture company and up to this day making teak garden furniture. My wife Helle and I separated and she moved to Australia. Bought up a company call Cotswold based in Brisbane and Sydney selling teak garden furniture dating back To 1980. All original designs like Lutyen benches and Adirondack armchairs. so jealous! this is the type of English cottage Ive been dreaming for! i wonder if this kind of old buildings are warm enough during the winter days in britain. I lived in one of this kind of B&B when i visited the lake district a few years ago in March and it was really cold at night even with the heating on...
Some of them are warm. I have a 300 year old cottage with thick stone walls, double glazed windows and very efficient heating. It’s warm and cosy in the winter and stays lovely and cool in the summer.
