Homemade cooler fishing boat with foldable pontoons.
In this video I show you how I upgraded my fishing boat with foldable pontoons. Now it has a ton of storage, shade, and is now solar powered. The legs still fold in for transport and fold out for stability in the water. I have added a timestamp in the description to navigate the video easier. Thank you for watching, subscribing, and sharing.

Tons of imagination inside your head!!!! Congratulations!!! Very nice project and very well done.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!
This is awesome and great use of repurposing coolers! Best wishes from Canada 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Very cool, thank you :)
You could make it wider with 3 more coolers, or 6 more smaller coolers. You could add another seat with another row of coolers. Might have to double up on the pontoons. Definitely needs more power. Might struggle in any kind of current. Excellent idea and solid execution though. Cheers!
Incredibly creative approach to ordinary things!!!! Everyone in these pipes can see the sewerage, you saw the possibility of the supporting structure. In polyurethane foam (or whatever it is) everyone can see the insulating material, you have noticed the material for the floats. The same with containers whose usual use is polarly distant from yours. In this way, the same aproach to things, the boys from Apollo 13 were saved in practically no exit situation. I am impressed, very inspiring movie!!!!! Bravo.
I wasn't looking for this but glad it popped up in my feed. Awesome! Good job.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Bom dia, gostei muito ,teria como me enviar o projeto e a lista de materiais necessário para fazer, quero fazer um para pescar
That's one cool little boat! I love the design and ingenuity behind it. I'm subscribing.
I appreciate it, and thanks for the sub :)
That’s not a boat, it’s a buoy… another proclaimed intelligent person?🤭🤫🤥
Nice build.
pure genius! it keeps getting better and better with every build. looking forward to more creations
Very cool, thank you for the compliment!
You're one of a few people out there doing unique things. It's why I subscribed.
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Wtf my two favorite KZheadrs are here
Stronger trolling motor with more thrust. However, this is only good for pond fishing, no way could you take it out on a lake that is choppy. Just too small.
This comment made me sub. Too.lol
Ahh but how's it handle some chop? Lol . Cool build.
Dude. Thanks for sharing your build. Those dislikes are surely boat manufacturers afraid of going out of business...
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)
Very interesting build-out. Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Cool, glad you enjoyed it!
This is got to be the coolest damn boat I`ve ever seen or seen built !! I`m very interested in watching in on your next build . Further more I`m defintely going to build me one these .
I love the God bless at the end great job great design
Thank you very much!
Wow I've never seen anything like this before .. just a wow .. , . New friend here !
Very cool, thank you.
My dad and I built a similar boat back in the 70's. We found that the more pointy the bow, the better it cut through the water. This looks like fun.
I do need to work on that, thanks for the tip!
@@supergokue1 There is a video I recommend. It is called the Tesla Catamaran by the Tech ingredients channel. He does an excellent job of explaining hydro-dynamics.
Good job! Greetings from Bulgaria! I really like those last modifications. You could be think about some small keel. And also you can made something like a lite spoilers for the pontоones/easy from empty 20l. buckets and hotairpistol/ This will improve the speed and control of the boat.Again :i like what you do. Go ahead and have fun.
Very cool, thank you so much!
Looks nice . I hope that u sealed the coolers back after drilling holes and I'm not a fan of using hot glue as any heat will reheat it and it will be useless.
My grandson had tried to make one (same concept) he was only 15 yrs old, but it didn't work like yours!lol! Anyway, I shared it with him & he'll be 27yrs in 2 days! It will bring back memories! Good job!!!
That is really cool, glad to bring back some good old memories :)
Wooow!! This is probably one of the coolest thing i've seen in a long time very impressed, keep doing ya thang
Nice, I really appreciate that :)
55lb thrust, better coolers, spray foam with flex seal. Bigger umbrella with 360 tilt to also use as sail lol
You should open a factory to make more of these great invention. I wish you where my neighbor 😂
Maybe one day I will be able to do something like that, for now it's just a dream. I think most of my neighbors believe that I am crazy :) Thanks for the comments!
This is brilliant! Love it! Thank you for sharing!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it :)
Great job! Looks like a fun little boat!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it!
Perfect example of a family project. No need to spend $2,000+ for one kayak. Just being on the water is fun. Very good!
I agree, being on the water is just a blast! Thank you for the comment.
That is really cool that the boat is home made and it is more affordable in sed of buying a boat you can make one just like that is a smart idea
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the boat!
Creative minds make the world go round. Nice!
Thank you, I appreciate that :)
I'm going to build one. Thanks for your effort.
I just love what you've done here, in my opinion you need to switch umbrella for a bigger one and add a paddle system (in case....)
I have working on something like that, I hope I can incorporate it into the design. Thank you for the suggestions :)
Also would great stuff work in foaming the 3" tubing? Just in case of leaks
It should work, but I am not sure how much extra weight it would add. I will have to look into it. Thank you for the questions, I appreciate it :)
Much love to you you show people what they can do if they open their brains and not keep their head in the phones thank you so much for an enlightened video to utilize the resources around you and make things happen from the imagination of one's Inner self great project
Very cool, I'm glad you liked the build!
Great idea! 6 coolers, 3 on each side as pontoons would be great, as long as you don't fill them too full and sink it!
Great minds think alike, thanks for the comment :)
This is really ingenious! I would have used trex on the running boards and backed up all the frame attachments to the coolers with silicone. I might try to make one of these. +1 sub & like.
Thank you for the great suggestions!
It would be nice to have a list of the items you needed for the project and cut list but over all very good video something new out there no one has done i will subscribe
I agree. And cost. This cant be cheap. My kayak was 300, but this might be a little more fun on lakes.
He is making
WOW! So nice,portable DIY boat.😁😁
Cool, thank you!
one of the best designs you have come up with keep up the good work love this one
Thank you, I really appreciate that :)
Definitely going to adopt some of your designs, but instead of coolers down the center, I’m going to use a cheap kayak. The added pontoons will make it un-flipable! Liked and subbed, thanks for the cool content!
That will be a cool kayak upgrade, maybe you will be able to stand up in it. Thanks for the comment.
You may be onto something ........ 3 kayaks two folding and one main body . It would hold three people !
@@jimmiller4951 PARTY BARGE!!!
@@AFishBicycle . Ya foe wee people haha
Could use a couple grab bars to get up and get in and out easier but looks like a great idea! Nice job!
Great idea, I didn't even think of that! Thanks for the suggestion.
That's really cool. So clever!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
Εξαιρετική κατασκευή κύριε και πολύ καλή σκέψη η απλότητα των υλικών.Συγχαρητήρια!
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
I think an improvement would be a flat awning to replace the umbrella and move the solar panel onto the awning. I can't imagine you would be getting very much value from the solar panel with all the shading above it.
Good point, there is room for improvement with this design.
Great job. It is hard to believe some manufacturer hasn't come up with a plan to manufacture any one of your' neat pontoon boats. I think if China gets a look, they would build one for sure. If I were younger I would build one. I would have a problem getting in and out of them. I am 85. Deciding which one to build would be the biggest problem. Have you ever considered pedal power? Then I don't think it would not require a registration. I wish I bad a way to get out on the water and fish. That would be perfect.
Yes, I am looking into that. It will probably be on a future design, thanks for the comment.
Absolutely brilliant.
Thank you for the compliment, I really appreciate it!
Awesome build 🤙your hard work shows keep making these videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you very much, Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.
Very ingenuous! Congratulations for all your projects. Do you thing that is possible to share us a project with dimensions for this cool water vehicle? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for your interest, I am currently working on the book with all of the details of this boat. I can let you know when it is up on Amazon if you like? Thank you for the question.
@@supergokue1 is the book up yet? I’d like to know. Mainly the size of pvc you used
@@PsychFreak-jc9rg Yes it is, thank you for the great question :) www.amazon.com/dp/B095SYWLYP
This video makes me proud to be an American. You, sir, are a legend 🇺🇸😎
Thank you, I appreciate it!
If it wasn't for sponsors or you literally having an exponential amount of resources laying around your house, you could have bought a way better boat for what it cost you to build that and you know it. That being said I loved it dude
Thank you, and God Bless you
Perfect for when the world floods into a waterworld scenario. Edit: well, I guess you need a harpoon for the front.
I couldn't agree more, I might have to add an extra cooler for the harpoon :)
@@supergokue1 pretty good for a lake or pond . in south florida guys used kayaks to deep sea fish with and would catch sailfish . they let the fish pull them around and tire itself out ,then reeled it in .
@@supergokue1 Or extra PVS pipe, and make an automatic harpoon shooter within the pipe of the PVC, lol.
Technically would this have to be registered for water use?? I think this guy just found a loop hole somehow 😅..
I actually love Water World (I don't care if anyone disagrees) but I can just imagine a humungus white trimaran and Jeanne Tripplehorn in that outfit chillin with a glass of champagne, life doesn't get much better than that, make that quadruplehorn if you know what I mean lads 👍
I think if you used the front cooler as a live well, you may need extra floatation in the front to cope with the weight, or.... make sure the drinks cooler is full as a counterweight. 😀 looks great though. Well done!
Great idea, thanks for the suggestion!
Great work! Challenge for you: the most affordable yet safe home-made boat that can carry 6 people. Would love to see that.
That might take some time, but I will work on it. Thanks for the challenge :)
What a cute umbrella ~~ Well done ~~~great job!
Thank you, I really appreciate it :)
EXTEND THE LENGTH 1 MORE COOLER, MOUNT 2 OR 3 HP MOTOR ON THE STERN, WOULD GO FASTER MIGHT BE MORE STABLE LIKE A CAT. VERY COOL
If I did that, I could make it a two seater. Great idea, I might have to look into making that happen. Thanks for the suggestion :)
You should 100% make a diy kayak!!! That would be awesome
I'll look into it, thanks for the suggestion :)
What a cool idea to use coolers as swimmers!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
One of a kind! Awesome 👌 🆒️ thanks for sharing!
Very cool, thanks for the compliment!
They get better all the time. Something tells me you voided the warranty on those coolers....😉
Thank you, and I think you might be right about the coolers :)
Awe man..! Me Watched, Me Learned, And Man.., Me Likes!✊✊👍👍☝️☝️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸!!!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it :)
Cool! Now that's using your spare time for a fun, cool project!!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)
I just LOVE this little boat!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it :)
Ever thought about selling plans for these? I would love to build one for a small lake we fish or if you feel generous you could just email them to me for free 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe adding expansion foam in the PVC wouldn’t be a bad idea for extra buoyancy
Very innovative idea. Who'd a thunk it? You did! Great job!
Thank you, I appreciate that :)
Really nice design! thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
The next time you are visiting the Plumbers Merchants, and they are low on stock. “Yeah, sorry sir. Everybody is building boats!”
I like it :)
I would of put stainless plates inside each cooler at build instead of just washers for strength .
There are a few modifications in the works. Thanks for the suggestion
Or sheets of coroplast as multiwasher I would use coroplast iinstead of particle board too like other builds And if you tale ends and add a sealant over tape or sealant over whole thing the coroplast itself would be bouyant.....buy white to match and it will look nicer too (on other build not this one)
Great video!! Really enjoyed this one!!!
Thank you buddy, I appreciate all of your help :)
Looks nice and stable, well done!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Me wanting a boat but not being able to afford one. 😂
That is so true, thanks for the comment!
By the time you add up the cost with time invested getting parts and assembly, you could have purchased one and been using it .
Thank you for the comment.
But then you don't get the satisfaction that comes with having designed and built it yourself.
True but no satisfaction.
The best ! Most stable boat👍
Thank you, I appreciate that :)
Thank you for you answer. I can’t wait to see your video with the add wheels
Cool, it should be out soon. Thanks for the comment!
Nice! I'm almost more impressed with the hot glue gun that doesnt need to be plugged in to work though ;)
Yes, I'm glad someone saw that :)
I can't believe that anyone actually asked where is the storage , people really do need a license to breed
Cracking job 👍. Love to see how this wonderful craft is evolving. 😁😁👍
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Cool idea!!! Thank you for that!! Wow got my mind thinking of some things...
Glad to help, thanks for the comment.
The people those who disliked him are zombies 😉
I am not a zombie and i disliked the video.
I think that they sell Zodiac inflatables?
Loved the idea. The music ruined the video

Good job! R U sure ur not ex-military, U R methodical in your construction, a “Seabee” perhaps?
I was never in the military, but thank you for the high compliment :)
Just subscribed. You and me were independently thinking unique ideas about pallets, coolers and 45 gallon containers. Inspiring to see how well they are working.
Thank you :)
Absolutely brilliant mate 👌😍🎣
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
its so sad he cant get the batteries he wanted
I agree, the batteries are way too expensive. I tried to get a few battery companies to help me out, but no one seemed to be interested. I will keep trying, you never know. Thanks for the comment.
Coolest boat man! I sent it to my friends so they can like it as much as I do!!!
Thank you, and I really appreciate it. That would really help.
All the important things in life, water, fishing, solar power, homemade confidence! The solar panel will work better in the sun (maybe overhead) but that’s an upgrade for another day. Congratulations!
It's funny you mentioned that, the upgrade boat has the solar panels in a way better spot. Thanks for the comment :)
@@supergokue1 It looks great. The materials you used makes it look like a manufactured product.
I really appreciate that!
That is pretty cool. I don't fish, but with something like that I'd take an interest.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the boat!
Very cool! Might have to copy! The cross pieces going through the coolers could be 2 inch pipe to save room in the cooler. Just insert 4' x 2' bushings before going through the cooler!
That is super neat and looks better than a lot of manufactured boats.
Very cool, thank you :)
For a day fishing boat that's solar powered and electric motor operated. Cool points. I love the design. The thought put into this project covers most prepper needs and the fisherman's quiet backwater access to that perfect bass hunters spots. I could bow fish on this. I could spear fish from this. I can spin cast from this. Very well done. Perhaps add a sun cover to avoid sunburn. Ok. You did add a sun umbrella. The perfect project. Kudo's. I would build this also for my grandchildren. Maybe a very small sail (nostalgia) Love the idea. Definitely a subscription.
Thank you for the comment and the sub!
Just a suggestion, on mine, I used 2 trolling motors. That allowed me to control it with a simple switch box and you drive it like a tank. Good job!
That is a fantastic idea, I will try it in the future. Thank you for the cool suggestion.
So cool! At first sight, I thought the blue pontoons were those blue water jugs, which would be cool to see.
That would be cool, I have always wanted to do a project with those. If I get a chance this summer, I will look into it. Thanks for the comment
Great build! God bless all!
Thank you, and God bless!

I appreciate that, thank you!
Whoever gave a thumbs down are just jealous haters cause he actually created something so rad!! I wanna see more builds.. totally got these min of life well worth my time..plus I now have become inspired to create
Thank you, I appreciate it :)
I need this in my life...
This man is a genius!
I wish, but thank you for the compliment :)
Great build!
Cool, I'm glad you liked it!
I love the design! One thing you could do to give yourself more space would be to lay some decking down over the frame. Then you could put a ledge around it and you would be able to bring more rods or a live well. One other easier mod you could do is get some track mounts and mount them right to the top of that front cooler then you could get a track mounted cup holder and whatever else you might want to mount up there. Great video man!
Really great ideas, I will look into incorporating them into the design. Thank you for all of the suggestions!
Genius, subscribed, havent seen it yet.
Fantastic work, congratulations.
Very cool, thank you!
Pretty damn awesome.
