A young male lion coalition return to take their fathers territory

Male lions can survive solitarily but always seek to join or even take over a territory. Young males sometimes move from one territory to another, fight, and assume dominance over new territories. The young males in this sighting already have their own territory but wanted more than they could chew.

Those 3 older males were in their absolute primes and in great condition. The young males will have their day, but not today, and not against this coalition.
I think the 2 older males ran off the younger coalition of 3

@@BaBaBooeyWRLDthen you missed the whole video
@@BaBaBooeyWRLD, in the beginning the cameraman showed only two older males that is why you got confused but actually there are 3 younger males and 3 older males who are basically the fathers of the younger males
Reminds me of me and my son on the basketball court. He 17 and really good but he still can't compete against the grown man muscle. But I see him coming for me though lol
Shows the importance of having a coalition - of at least 3. That's why I always feel sorry when I see lone male cubs, because life is likely to be very rough later.
Exactly, like othawa & nkuhuma males so sad
Yea sad when a male is on his own, brothers love and cousins love is a life bond between males
I agree 👍 bro ❤🦁👑
*Absolutely, lion coalitions play a vital role in survival and territorial dominance. Lone male cubs indeed face formidable challenges as they mature, needing to claim territory and fend for themselves. Yet, it's also a testament to the strength and resilience of these creatures.*
@theflux-wildlifewrong
Wise decision to retreat. You could see that their fathers were in their prime strength so they would've absolutely destroyed those young males.
*Indeed, the decision to retreat shows a keen sense of survival instinct. In the lion world, strength and experience often dictate dominance. The mature males, being in their prime, would have the upper hand in a physical confrontation. It's a stark reminder of how survival in the wild often hinges on strategic decisions.*
Yep gotta wait few more yrs

That’s a wise Lion 😊 So many Lions have lost their lives overestimating their strength
Your comment has me in stitches mate 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even if the kids were the same size, their fathers are battle tested so they have the advantage!
Absolutely. Sure numbers matter, but so does experience, size, strength & willpower to protect what is theirs. There've been experienced, battle-hardened lone males that have emerged from fights against 3 lions. It happens & experience, size, strength & willpower should not be underestimated. Those go a long way.
@@kimmuckenfuss2284very well said
*Absolutely, experience and battle-hardened skills often give mature lions an advantage over their younger counterparts, even if they're of similar size. In the wild, physical strength is just one aspect of survival; wisdom gained from years of encounters, battles, and survival situations plays a crucial role.*
The fathers and the sons are such handsome, majestic lions. I wished all of them could have come together and form a larger coalition. They probably would have been stronger as a group. There is safety in numbers. Especially in the wild. I wish all them a long, healthy life. Stay strong, mighty kings. ❤😊
Ur idea is ok if they can reason like us my dear issue's arise when mating time comes

Correct, they usually go the other direction.
Yeah I was super surprised too!
What a great upload. It's amazing how large the older males can be compared to the up and coming kings. Beautiful kings holding forth. Thank you.
Fig tree boys(sons) were sired by the Rekero males(dad's) who are the sons of the Notch boys. The rekeros sired Fig tree boys years ago in fig tree pride in the Mara reserve. They then abandoned that pride and moved into Naboisho conservancy taking it over as well as the 3 different prides in it. At this time the fig tree boys dispersed into Ol kinyei conservancy which is North of Naboisho. They took over Lemuny pride and are in charge, weirdly the Fig tree boys have been seen with their fathers in the same area with the same kills with no aggression. However when their cubs from Naboisho were big enough, Rekeros decide to expand into Ol kinyei and steal from their sons who fortunately fought back.
Thanks for the identification 👍
Who won? Rekeros or Fig Tree boys?

if you want to hear better roaring, then listen the roaring of Makhulu, the leader of the legend Mapogos.
Never seen this before do father & son fight until death ???handsome young males ❤🦁 🐾fathers are gorgeous kings
It depends, usually a lion fight will last until one "gets the message". But it could end in death or serious injury if you have a particularly aggressive lion or a particularly stubborn son.
Makes no sense. Even if they succeeded in taking their father's territory, who are they supposed to mate with? Their mother, aunt, and sisters? Juniors? It's time to go!
Facts
*You raise a valid point. In typical lion behavior, young males leave their natal prides to prevent inbreeding. However, nature isn't always predictable, and these unusual situations can occur. If they did take over, the dynamics would likely shift, possibly with new females joining or existing ones leaving.*
@@wintvusa86 That makes sense, and thanks for the reply.
@@thewinusa Unfortunately! Thanks for the reply.

This is the reason why Alexander the great ordered his armorers to create larger helmets and armour to deter the enemy. Because in WAR, size matters.
The dads got more of a mature roar
Normally the sons of Lions would go out to other territories to create their own pride this is rare that they came back trying to take over their father and uncle's pride!
I thought it was normal because of Lion King.
They need to be raised again ! Nice work father’s 😅 these kids should learn to respect their parents
Funny but true
Cubs these days, no respect. His father literally walked 15 miles to work each day in the heat bare foot, this is how they repay them? Different generation I tell ya heh

You gotta love the psychology of lions.
@ 3:00 You can see the fathers look back like "The audacity.. Well BRING IT children ! We brought you into this world, we can take you out !" and that would be a threat followed through, not just an empty threat like human parents. lol
I would love to live in Africa not in a city but in the wild in a house way up high, go out on a deck and listen and watch all the beautiful animals.😊😊

Same. I've heard about individual tigers killing their father but never a coalition of lions doing it. I wonder are they trying to take it over since they know the area or is it just not enough land?
So inbreeding happens in nature?
When you hear the roar of these lions on video it dosen,t even come close to how loud it is in real life.
Love the 4 minute footage!
Just seeing the sons, I thought they'd have a good chance. Then I saw their fathers... and hoped god would have mercy on their souls.
Dad: What did you say? Son: Nothing. Just had a impala bone stuck in my throat...🙄

@@llllllllllllllllllll1296 I would absolutely love to be able to witness in person, I bet it's like no other feeling out there!?!
I wonder if they realize that among the lionesses there are their mothers.
Yeah that concerns me dont want inbreeding.
Often a 1 or 2 lioness leave their prides after take overs and that maybe natures way of preventing inbreeding
@@mashleyred2180 Wouldn't the Fathers be mating with their adult daughters? I always wonder how Mother Nature prevents this from happening when the Fathers stay too long in charge of the pride.
@@fabiennefertiti3017 I've wondered this, too. I'm not sure, but maybe the father lions instinctually know to stay away from their daughters & just continue to mate with the mother lionesses. I have heard/seen where a father lion has mated with their daughter or niece, but good God I hope those are "outlier cases."
Often male lions have more than one pride ,so they're more than likely not challenging the pride that their mother's are in but a different pride that their fathers also control

Nah they just came to say hi to their family. The lionesses would never allow their children to come back and mate with them
Doesn’t look like they came to fight, they still know that’s their father. Those 3 young lions are big enough to take on any single fully grown lion. They just miss home and wanted to return, you can see the pain in their faces.
Stop trippin
If they didn’t came there to fight why didn’t they go and hug their dad, it seems like you’re new to watching lions videos😂
Oh well… have to say glad there’s no battle today…!!! No injuries No death Everyone lives to see another day 🦁🐾🦁🐾🦁🐾🦁🐾🦁🐾🦁
😂😂😂 come back in three years y'all not ready
Young males : All right, we can wait another year... But we will come back, and you are not growing any bigger or stronger, right ?
Reminds of what a wise man once said... "You used to live in my balls, son!" No comeback for that.
So can someone explain to me please. Are the sons really attempting to dethrone the fathers? Wouldn't that mean they may be taking over the pride with their mothers in it? I thought that was like an unwritten rule for the sons not to take over the pride with their mothers in it???
Incrível parabens. Grande abraço Brasil
This was "my three sons" and "Father knows Best".😂
They are very gorgeous boys.Come on boys move on you will find a haram of lionesses.
When the lions comes to take over, they look like real gangster..
Not sure how many were the fathers, 2 or 3 ? These fathers seems strong and in good condition, would have been dramatic for the 3 sons to fight them as they are not "full" adults built. If it happens one day, the sons fighting their fathers and / or uncles what a disaster that will be, I can't believe this can happen and lead to the deaths of one or more of them. Hope the youngsters to find a good space to establish and wish them a long life. About the fathers, shall they live many, many more years ! 🤞🙏
I thinks its 3 vs 3
The courage of a lion is awe inspiring
They just wanted to return home but unfortunately they are too mature to be living with dad, mum, sisters and aunt's.
Good example of lions preferring to take the safe option instead of bumbling through life attacking everything, like some believe. Lions do not fight to the death on the regular, and are aware of their limits unless desperation drives them. These youngsters wouldn't hesitate to kill an old or sick male, but as seen in the video, will retreat from healthy males of equal number. Take overs generally involve the newcomer having a overwhelming advantage, with fights between equally powered lions being an outlier..
The fathers were 3, not 2
