👋 In todays video we take a look at the very popular Lexus IS lineup! This includes the Lexus IS300, IS350 and the IS500! The Lexus IS model has been around for several years with the introduction of the F Sport variants in the year 2007! Since the launch, this has been a very sought after Lexus sedan that has some luxury, some performance and all the reliability!
Lexus/Toyota are known for their reliability and have been in the number one spot for several years if not decades! These Lexus models have the bullet proof and reliable V6 and V8 engines that everyone loves! The Lexus generations have changed significantly and have also provided more options and features over the years!
With that being said, Lexus still isn't known for having an abundance of technology. I think that's another reason consumers love the brand, it gives you what you need and nothing more. It also means less technology for something to go wrong or stop working. To give you an idea, Lexus still has CD players in their 2024 model years! But people like that it's more of a drivers car, with some features to make it great for daily driving!
The Lexus IS is a great daily driver with how comfortable and quiet the vehicles are!
New for the 2024 year models as well is the introduction of the F Sport for the IS300! So now you can get the looks without the power, if you just want a sporty sedan, but also want great mpg!
So from the IS300 to the IS350 and IS500 F Sport, you can spec the luxury sedan to your liking and have a reliable vehicle to rack up the miles!

  • I bought the 2024 IS 300 F Sport Design AWD in Arctic White, red leather interior. I didn’t need the turbo, but I do enjoy the V6 and AWD. Car runs super smooth and the body style is probably my favorite Silhouette to date. Just paid for ceramic window tint and I don’t need to do much else.

  • I picked up the 350 IS FSport 2024 awd dressed out. Very impressed with the naturally aspirated 6 cylinder, plenty of jam for a daily driver, and the fuel mileage is decent for both city and highway driving. No hesitation on the take off with the 6 speed transmission. Can’t wait to take it for a long tour this summer. I did weigh in on the V8 but I wanted a year around driver in our Canadian winters. So I compromised the extra power for the awd.

  • Is the F Sport Handling Package worth it for the '21+ model yrs? Looking at the RWD models and love the idea of having the adaptive variable suspension and Limited Slip rear differential, but it's hard to come by in the used market. They seem to have the "F Sport Design" trim for new models (which seems to be like their 'base' trim) that has exterior styling but doesn't get a lot of other interior F Sport amenities, one being the digital gauge, nor the option to add the handling package - just comes with a F Sport-tuned suspension. So, will the car still be fun for mostly daily driving and occasional mountain driving with the non-handling package?

    @dhizzle@dhizzle6 күн бұрын
    • Probably wont make or break. Not sure if we've ever driven one with that handling package or not. But it's not like these are performance cars in the first place. But occasional mountain driving should be fine still.

  • I bought a 2023 IS 350 F Sport last May and it was $58k otd. What I heard from the dark chrome window trim, it’s really sensitive and it will discolor if you polish it.

  • I have watched several videos involving oil research scientists and if you plan on keeping a vehicle past 100k then they say to never go by the manufacturer’s oil change recommendation. They say 3,000 miles is optimal for engine longevity. That would be approximately 3 oil changes a year or $200+ for the DIYer or $450+ at a Lexus dealer. So $500 isn’t too far off for yearly maintenance. Here is a good video…. kzhead.info/sun/mdlwgNCKqqODrHk/bejne.htmlsi=3aahv08A86H7LiC_

    • I don’t believe that at all! My dad did every 10K miles on his 4Runner to 150K miles with zero issues. I go one a year on my R8 even. I don’t believe that from experience.

    • I have been getting my oil changed about every 4-5 months at my Lexus dealership here in Los Angeles, California. The just raised the price $1. I kid you not. Now $121 for the oil change for 2024, with snacks and coffee/tea or cold drinks and a carwash. You must be paying retail without asking for their discount/best price. For the last almost 4 years, it has cost me way less that $300 a year for routine maintenance. For brakes, which lasted >45,000 I went with Akebono brakes, obtained by an independent Lexus mechanic and cost 60% of the dealership costs, which made a noticeable improvement in braking and almost eliminated brake dust. 3,000 mile oil changes with synthetic oil is truly overkill IMO. To each his own.

  • All IS350's and IS500's come with the F-Sport package automatically (ever since MY2021). You cannot choose to *not* have it. Only the IS300 has the option to not have the F-Sport package.

    • @@SO_L-GR I couldn't agree with you more, as an owner of a 500, I have no issue with the track pad or the screen. People like to repeat what they hear on various car reviews thinking its a ground breaking statement. I find it hard to believe that people find a track pad so offensive but would love going through various menus and sub-menus to turn the heat on their seat?! At least Lexus gives us physical buttons :)
