HI-FI Rush was absolutely spectacular, with good gameplay to fun achievements, it really had it all for an achievement hunter like myself. Since nobody has really ranked the achievements for this game yet, I'll give it my own take. I'm going to give it an 8/10 for my difficulty rating, while the game is definitely rather challenging to get used to at the start, once you get a decent grasp over a few combos and how to increase your score for S ranks, Even the harder difficulties become easy with the exception of a few sections.
10/10 Game, 6/10 Achievements (due to the grindy ones).

Didn’t mean to mislead anybody with the trophy, and it appears to have. My intentions were to find a way to best represent the fact that I earned all of the achievements in any said given game through the thumbnail. Sorry about that, and I have discovered new ways to represent that without the trophy now.

Im loving that the streamer mode just gives you original music that sounds close enough to the lisenced ones
Arguably the streamer mode music is better than the licensed stuff (barring Stage 1 and 10 anyways) :D

Funny enough my first untouchable boss fight was Kales, because I enjoyed that fight so much I learned to perfect parry anything he could throw at me.
Just like my first no damage Revengence fight was Jetstream Sam
It’s also nice that he’s one of two bosses where their fight are the entire stage, so it’s easier to replay
Truly impressive that you managed to knock out all of those in 60 hours! Especially the S-Rank and no-damage boss fight ones. Nice work!
The no damage boss fights are preety easy considering most of them have about 3-4 moves per phase that they only use. Learn the timing on only them, parry them and they will be giving you a ton more chances for you to deal free damage.

To be fair you can cheese the no damage Kale fight. Considering you get a checkpoint when each phase starts, and you can exit to the hideout and reload the checkpoint as many times as you want without any punishment.
I completed It in 74 hours so i think he did a good job

A tip for those who have trouble in the spots in Rhythm Master where there's nothing you can hit to keep your rank up, if you dash to the beat in circles it gives you a small amount of rank each dash to keep you from dropping all the way. If you know the infinite dash tech you can basically do this indefinitely.
hitting nothing also does the trick. you can do full combos hitting nothing at all and it keeps the combo going
Great video. I've been trying for all achievements blind and I'm glad to find a video of someone else doing it too and learning about the small nitpicks in the game like Rekka's invincibility before phase changes and how much easier the game gets after frying your brain with metronome like beats for hours on end.

So far Hi-Fi rush is one of the best games this year in my opinion and i’m honestly pretty pissed that not enough people are talking about it.
I wish I wasn't an over the road truck driver sometimes. I'm always so excited to get back home to 100% this. Got about 4 more achievements to go. Good stuff man!
Fun fact, the fight in the cafeteria in track 10 is by far my favorite part of the game when it comes to music.

only gripe i have about this games achievements is that you have to beat every difficulty individually instead of counting a higher difficulty setting clear

I'm surprised you found Mimosa so easy She was my biggest chalenge on Rythm Master, cause i could beat her just fine, but i never got an S-Rank, since my score kept being too low In the end i cheesed it by hitting her with the cat attack in phase 1, which gives you a ton of score, but the timing is very tight Still took me a good hour or two though
Spamming partner attacks on her when she’s stunned, almost makes her permanently stun-locked. Breezed through it on Rythm master
spamming partner attacks and absolutely slamming mimosa with magnet and beat hits renders her completely helpless. you can easy s rank her if you do this.
If you juggle assists and use them like mvc2 (i.e. non stop) you can borderline stunlock loop here. She was never not a joke. Just gotta make sure you mixup your combos

I always thought that the Mimosa fight where you copy her moves was just like the old Dreamcast game "Space Channel 5."
I remember reading that a way to keep the combo up between fights is timing dodges
I can vouch for this based on my exp, not just timing the dodges, you need to learn the infinite dash tech, it'll ramp up to B after you do it 3 times.

its cool that the final boss is actually the hardest boss this time around. a lot of game sthese days have a secret(ish) boss or 2 that end up being harder(looking at you malenia)

@@Timeward76 I haven’t gotten to Kale yet, I anticipate having a difficult time with him during the parry/dodge segments. My game philosophy is usually “hit them with your stick faster than they can hit you with theirs” lol
@@mycomnithegreat434 kale only has 1 parry/dodge segment at the very end of the battle, iirc. its a tight one, but its the only one I remember.

Quick tip for anyone annoyed at the biker if you have the skill where you can magnet then hop to the backside they are stunned and you can get hits off

Wow, how the hell is Mimosa so easy for you xD While Kale was of course the hardest, the second hardest for me was Mimosa (at least until now). I haven't done her a second time because I am seriously afraid about it
imho Roquefort is the second hardest boss on high difficulties. But only because of his QTE attacks. One mistake and you're Dead.
High Pitch Punch melts her. It only costs one bar and breaks her shield instantly.
The only few things that's left for me is just the S-Ranks in all difficulties, but i did a dumb thing since the beginning. I started the game on Normal and didn't knew there was a "Wall" for you to Get Gears = Upgrades(which was the thing to complete all achievements.) Once I complete the game once, i made my friend to play the game, which discovered about the Gears in the Hall. I got so upset about my lack of attention (didn't knew i could sell any bought upgrades for example.) and then i RESET the game in Rhythm Master (I got so used to my imaginary limitations in-game that I ended up being so good in the process). Still, it's a very fun experience, specially since I made myself a bigger challenge than the Hall of Fame itself.

I am so happy that someone had the same pain as me on Kale's last phase. Edit: Nevermind, he had 3 deaths instead of a number bigger than 30 I think..
I beat kale 1st attempt, but took a few attempts with roquefort, because he took up half of the arena. Parrying is your best friend in the late game (that and being a band kid helped)

In case you didn't know, if you complete a Chorus without taking damage, you earn a star with its rank. This also applies to entire levels, meaning clearing the level without taking damage at any point from any source earns you a star with its rank. Earning an S-Rank on every Chorus of a level earns you a Crown S-Rank, or just a Crown Rank. Combining these challenges earns you a Star Crown S-Rank for the level. (I call it the Strown (pronounced straun) Rank) Guess what yaboi did for each and every level on each and every difficulty for this game..
This is the only time I have regretted not buying an xbox, with all their acquisitions they are making I feel like I will start feeling this more and more.

Well, in my personal opinion, it is a frustrating if you lacked focus, I kept dying to Kale in the story playthrough even when I had it on Normal, but now I got a Perfect S tier on all difficulties. It is a matter of “practice makes perfect” thing, just enjoy the game for the story, and after you finish, start hunting down the trophies.
Can’t wait to platinum this game 😂
To explain the rekka invincibility thing: Yeah its to wait for the music to catch up before the phase change. The speedrun on gdq talks about this, actually... BUT ANYWAY excited for the arcade challenge! update! And its achievements?
Word to the wise: PUT YOUR CONSOLE IN FRONT OF YOUR TV IF IT'S BEHIND IT, WHETHER PARTIALLY OR TOTALLY. I have an Xbox Series X, and I kept messing up the rhythm and combos. Then I saw that there may be some issues of hit sensitivity (though it was related to the low latency setting), so decided to stand where my controller could "see" the Xbox. **It freaking worked**. So yeah, if you're the sort to have your console partially or completely obscured by your TV, might want to move it when playing HiFi Rush. Or maybe it was just coincidence and I suck at rhythm games. It's like, 80/20 for me I'm sure xD

Not entirely he has a move that can't be avoided but it doesn't do damage so it's either that or the fact some of his moves are designed to be nearly impossible to parry

Hey isn’t this Xbox and PC exclusive? Why are you using PS trophy’s? Or is this the area as similar to the Psychonauts trophy list despite only having physical copy’s on Xbox, if so I’m all in it. i seriously wish there was a boss select in this game so i can not play an entire stage to get to them. and god forbid if i have to restart the fight...
This game was really fun even as someone with a terrible internal metronome on very hard. It's such a shame the end of the game nosed dived at sonic speed to floor all because of a bug that made it impossible to beat Kale since, on very hard, you have to do every parry sequence without missing, but his lasers you dodge would become literally impossible to avoid so you just have to stand there forever until you die. Having to turn down the difficulty already felt bad but being FORCED to really sucked.

@@ZyloPhone During the end of the 2nd phase on the parry/dodge section, one of the dodge lasers never fire, so it always counts as a miss no matter what. I had to switch to normal, then back to hard to even finish the fight.
I just restarted until it worked. Glad I wasn’t the only one who felt so frustrated when it fired once and never again

If dmc5 is a 9/10 difficulty, hi-fi rush is a 8 or an 8.5 in my opinion. Just extremely time consuming!
