Wtf has Karate Combat become? A part from the unique ring its starting to look like any other kickboxing/mma promotion. Why not add a division where they wear full Karate Gi, top and bottom to allow for more grabs and throws, also striking while holding your opponents karate Gi.
There used to be a karate promotion that had similar rules. It was called Shidokan World Open. Another promotion was Enshin Sabaki challenge.
this was never a serious league. I always just looked at it as a meme. What with all the crypto stuff and CGI environments

I don't get why this match still get restricted by KC ruleset when the grappling matches have their own ruleset. This is obviously a special case the thai fighter should be allowed to use his full techniques that would make a more fair fight. It's like having a "karate vs boxing" fight under boxing rules where the karateka is not allowed to kick
Muay Thai can't fight on the ground even if KC allow everything, Muay Thai can't do nothing on the ground.
Karate also has knees, it even has headkicks, just not in competition.

The muay Thai guys arent allowed to use they full techniques but the karate guy also are not allowed to use they full techniques too. So no cry here.
@@raphaellopes2764look My brother in Karate have skills like Chudan-Hiji, Mae Hiji, Age-Hiji, Ushiro Hiji Karate Have Elbows too the rules also limited Karate.

Muay Thai can't fight on the ground I know Karate guy would see that weakness, Muay Thai can't do nothing when a Karateca Takedown a Thai Guy and the Karateca have GNP it's over.
Muay Thai without elbows and clinches is just kickboxing. L move for KC to handicap Nak Muay. I hope they redeem themselves and have another Karate vs Muay Thai matchups but with no restrictions.
the MT fighter went into a karate rules tournament. nobody "handicapped" him. same thing if a judoka wants to try competing in a boxing match and then cry about him not being able to grapple.
@@LiquidcadmusI’m not gonna go in technicalities, but the appeal here is Karate vs Muay Thai, not Karate vs Muay Thai but only with Karate Combat rulesets. Which if that were the case, Nak Muay should have been allowed to grapple and do ground-and-pound like their opponents, because that’s the KC ruleset. All I’m saying is the promoters can’t advertise Karate vs Muay Thai but rule out elbows and clinching for the latter.
