Not only did he know the difference between 5G and 5GE AND he told you how it is, he didnt try to sell you on 5G, he clearly knew how to approach a customer and he also had a catalog of 5GE compatible phones. Really thumbs up for that guy for all the hate AT&T gets he really knew what he was talking about, hope he will get raise soon.

    • 900Mb not fast, because 5G was like 3.6Gbps fastest than your wifi country. 900 Mbps = 112.5 MB/s 3.6 Gbps = 450 MB/s You need to know different MBps and Mbps, plus GBps and Gbps either.even though 5G of Huawei Technologies support until 20Gbps =2500MBps like you can download 1 files thats size 2GB only in 1 Second. Plus Huawei 5G can't support 20Gbps it's still can be 11-15Gbps=1875MBps. So 1GB file only need 1 second then it's was done ,if files was 100GB its only need 100 Second=1 minutes 40 second .

We found out that not only is Wifi expensive for something that seems to just mysteriously "go out" for no goddamn reason, but Data is available everywhere and we get a deal with AT&T, and is more reliable and faster in most cases than WiFi. I even have a tweak called Hotspotting that keeps hotspot always on, like it should be *cough* Apple *cough*, so it's basically just like wifi only difference is the range is pretty bad and you can only have 5 people connected but thankfully they have it on the their phones too so no problem.

  • It kinda works. My LG V30 has the band built in and while staying at my sister's house 4G LTE worked but not as well. When they did a software update they unlocked the band but as the second rep said it's not true 5G, but also your area has to have the bands available. Again my former area kinda had it in Odessa, TX. Now it did make it slightly better but not by much. Now that I live Fairhaven, MA I don't have that "5G band" available.

I just dont get why a company would come out with "5G service" before it's truly 5G? It will hurt them in the long run. Maybe this is why Tmobile continues to grow and buy/merge companies, while the others fall way behind.

  • What you are seeing is small cell technology. It’s faster because it is more saturated kind of like digital vs analog if you will. Small cell provides a much more dense coverage with a shorter range but since there are so many around there is less load and it is pushed through fiber. It’s a neat technology. We are building this for all carriers nationwide and they are in a five year push with this being year number two. It still has about 3 more years before the technology catches up to it.
