What is with all these false "explained" videos which do NOT explain at all but just recount what happened. Pretty much useless.
“Who is telling the truth” bruh the last chapter literally says “the truth”
Click bait much
I honestly laughed when Ben's character utterly disregards Matt's character and Adam Driver is just sitting there all smug like he's the new favorite of the world. The actors chemistry in real life just add to the struggle of the movie it's great casting and a superb movie indeed.
matt damon was the weakest actor in this movie
Sorry but Kingdom of Heaven is not good 😅
I can't believe I watched this whole ass movie without realizing Pierre was Ben Affleck...
I came across this movie by accident really. Just kinda scrolling through looking for something to watch and decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. It was fantastic! Really interesting story, really cool how they gave you the same story from all 3 perspectives. Her victim testimony was hard to watch, that scene could have been from a courtroom today tbh. I'm recommending to all of my friends to watch. You are so right, it's 2 1/2 hours but it absolutely does not feel that long.
I believe Ridley wanted to show how Jacques interaction with woman prior. “With the whores” some could look at that scene and say that was rape as well. In fact the motions of throwing the woman on the bed then turning her over was exactly mirrored in the rape.
Notes from Le Gris’ own lawyer from during the trials were found and they detailed his own questioning of his clients innocence.
1- Why did the mother-in-law leave her alone (take all servants) in house. This was strictly against her sons wishes?
Good review, I thought it was a fantastic movie too. Ridley Scott really knows how to do great battle scenes. Would have loved to have seen this in the cinema though.
Saw this in the cinema and just bought it on blu ray. Really enjoying noticing the subtle differences in the 3 accounts, such as who actually said what line at the baby’s party.
This movie was extremely good. They rarely make movies like this anymore.
just finished it now, and i love how it put me on the edge of my seat during the duel.
Good video, thank you for the review. I enjoyed the movie as well for many of the same reason you mentioned, but I must say it is so far removed from the historically recorded Jean de Carrouges/Jacques Le Gris duel that it can hardly be said to be based on it.
I just watched this movie, I loved it. That being said, at the beginning of the movie I felt like I didn't know what the point was and I did not care about the characters. However, once the second chapter started I really got into it and I ended up loving the movie.
Dear sir, you did not explain the ending of the movie. You retold the storyline roughly. Yet, e.g., what about the development of the relationship between the couple during the time of process? From here I would also question the idea that "all was absolutely based on true events".
First of all, in your title you promised to 'Explain the Ending' ending was explained in 5 seconds. So for you all readers, I will try to provide the explanation of the ending I interpreted. So who was the father? As I understood it, it does not matter whose child it was. The baby is much more blonde and resembles Her then any of the fathers. Meaning that she was used by two men, who wanted to settle scores and be better then the other for all her married life. In the end, one was killed in the duel the other in war and she came out as the victor with a child that is only hers, since the baby seems to be just as fair and innocent as she was.
Nothing about Maguerite in the La Gris version told me she was into him.
