  • Having the ability for artists like Tones & I to perform virtually is so amazingly beneficial for them. I remember reading an article that the pandemic really screwed w them bc they just had their hit drop &their tour was canceled. Stuff like this provides artists a way to not only reach more people but to still tour when otherwise it might not be possible. How cool would it be to have the equivalent of a “hole in the wall” bar in VR for bands that aren’t yet signed to do stuff like this too?! The possibilities are really exciting it’ll be fun watching where things end up

    • In belgium, where i live, most concerts and festivals which were canceled because of covid had a online version as a replacement, some even for free. And if you had vr glasses you were even able to connect these and feel like you're actually there. It was pretty cool

  • I actually did a Podcast episode of The Deep Gripping Reality about this experience. Fortnite and epic games did such an amazing job making a virtual concert into more than just music. They made it into a memorable experience. I played that set with my son probably 20 times. It was a moving experience where each song had its own level that morphed and changed with the song bringing the player through an emotional roller coaster, at one point, quite literally! I'm so glad that the official KZhead channel here decided to share this experience with the world for those who couldn't play it.. I really wish that this was a free to play level forever. Absolutely fantastic job Tones and I.

    • @@Cactusdinosaur yeah duh, they probably know. But fortnite and epic games are still different. Epic is the full organisation and makes a lot of deals with other organisations and artists, but fortnite itself needs to organise these events, make the maps and the content, epic doesn't have to do anything with that, as long as fortnite does a good job
