Thanks for another great family fun video. Coke was the first brand-name softdrink on that list, but people had been brewing their own roor beer in different forms for centuries. Sassafras, sarsaparilla, and licorice roots were the three main ingredients. I used to make my own years ago.

I believe Root Beer is actually the oldest and Ginder Ale....like the original Venors Ginger Ale orginally Very strong...aged in wooden kegs about 6months...I used to live against street in Detroit plant that made it...at that time it was only plant they had...had people from all over coming and touring it and they had a visitor "soda shop" where they served ice cold root beer and also a root beer float called a Boston Cooler ....which was scoop of vanilla ice cream in large glass of venor's.. A real treat in the summer.
