Man can we just appreciate how well Wyatt Russel nailed this character. He definitely deserves respect for it
They shouldn't waste this character in further movies..i want more from that guy in future projects of marvel..
He seems so unhinged at times and I absolutely love it, he’s done an incredible job
oh absolutely! Wyatt Russell has told us everything we need to know about John Walker through his composure alone- his insecurities, fears, doubts, but most importantly how unhinged hes become from all the power hes been given. its crazy good!
@Quinn Dang a majority of Marvel fans have appreciated his performance and commitment to the role immensely. There are shitty parts of a fanbase in every franchise, you can't change the amount of stupid in the world. Generalising a global fanbase like Marvel's on the basis of an insignificant minority is contributing to that stupid, but stay classy🤝
He made us dislike his role in the first half of the series which makes it clear he nailed his character and role🔥

@Astro Official I think objectively Bucky should be able to. While we've seen him fight much less lethal he hates John and doesn't have to hold back. Besides he went toe to toe with Steve (after/and fighting Nat and Sam) but I suspect the final conflict will be John vs Sam while Bucky either deals with Zemo or maybe Carli? Tbh Sam has a much better connection with her but idk they need Buck to do something.

Sebastian Stan is playing this role wonderfully. I can feel that Bucky just want’s to rip that shield out of John Walker’s hands, but he’s restraining himself. Sam helps him stay level headed, but Bucky is at the end of his patience here.
And he did that he broke John's arm in the process.

Wyatt Russell is so good portraying John Walker that people have actually started hating him. This is how good the guy is at his job.
People were already hating after episode one, they were going to find an excuse regardless.

The other day I was telling my sister that "I've kindda started loving the character of...." & my sister completed my sentence saying "Zemo. Yes, I love him". And I was like " NO, I'm talking about John Walker."
People hate him because they don't care about the character. Let me ask this. People love scarlet witch. She has done way worse to deal with tragedy and loneliness. John Walker has repeatedly questioned every action which we thought may have been wrong. He was dealing with Falcon who is sympathizing with a group that blew up a building full of people. His only friend gets killed by the same group, and he felt that with his actions he could have apprehended them earlier. I know what he is doing is wrong, but I can still understand why he is doing so. Killmonger got so much support from the same people, who now hate Walker, because they feel that Rogers was so great, even if he hid Iron man's parents' assassination, and supported Bucky throughout. I love that this show has shown that there is no hero, only different ideologies as Sharon Carter rightly mentioned

I think it’s both the acting and the writing to be honest. He’s written in a way that you do feel for the guy and I know I did when X died on the pillar. However he’s also unhinged and unpredictable and just a very human and real version of a soldier becoming captain America.

@@Slingblade87 While yes that shield broke, the legacy of something is not it's exact history.
Bucky Barnes is just. The best. This show solidifies him as one of the top tier heroes just based on his arc, the writing of his character since his introduction , and of course the incredible performance by Sebastian Stan.
Hopefully now after this, Marvel will now start giving him a little bit more respect. More lines. More fight scenes. More involvement.

ngl This is one of the best sneak peeks I have seen... so barely little plot points expose... just vague enough to hook you in. And the recap leads into the cliffhanger of last weeks episode then shows you the tease of Falcon and WS versus Captain America. I kind of wish the other Marvel TV shows (stuff like AoS, Runaways, and Inhumans) had the same level of dedication that is put into this series.
I really wish Tony was still here to tell him that "that shield doesn't belong to you."

This is the actual promo that if we had the final trailer like this, we would have hated John walker before the episodes premiere.

I feel like in each episode Bucky has got more and more badass when he is fighting. Like he is learning how to access being the winter soldier without becoming the winter soldier. The way he took on those super soldiers in the last episode! Also outstanding acting from Wyatt Russell, portraying such a complex spiralling character.

I thought this show was going to be a lot of action but it gave way more depth than I expected, my new favorite villain and just watching Bucky and Sam work on the boat together, was so wholesome and something I didn't know I needed

Tbh I got no hate for John for what he did to the guy tbh. I probably would have lost it too if I just saw my best bud die in front of me
I am loving this show. I really hope there is a unique plot twist that really moves the entire MCU story in a way nobody expected. My preference would be that the new "uncorrupted super-soldier" ends up, by some amazing plot formation, being Helmut Zemo. In one of the episodes, he recognizes that the only person who wasn't corrupted by the super-soldier serum was Steve Rogers. Wouldn't it be something if the one man who hates super soldiers becomes the second person to not be corrupted as a super soldier? In a unique twist, Helmut Zemo also becomes the new "baddie turned good" or at least antihero.

He actually utters those words in the physical education videos from Spider-Man: Homecoming, but he merely just did that in order to introduce himself.
Walker is so badass I love it! I was iffy on casting at first only because that first shot of new Cap and cause his ears stick out of the helmet too much but honestly Wyatt is doing such a good job! Also the A/Star design is really cool!

Considering the fact that the fight is right after he kills the terrorist( there is still blood on him and the shield) means that they will lose against him. Cause they just showed other scenes in which walker has the shield. And since there is no blood on him or the shield, those scenes are definitely after that fight.
