Inside the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE'S $288,000,000 FOOTBALL Facility, Pt. 2 | Royal Key
When you think of Alabama Football, what comes to mind? Winning? Consistency? Perfection? All of the above, maybe? Well, that’s by design because Alabama Head Coach, Nick Saban, pays close attention to all of the details, from how a play is ran to the design of each locker in the locker room. On our second "Royal Key" visit to Tuscaloosa, we explore all of the hidden details in their new facility.
Bryant-Denny Stadium, home to one of the greatest football programs in America, is a step above most, if not all in the college football world. Alabama partnered with different companies in the overall renovation of this iconic stadium, including Coldwater, Ohio-based Forty Nine Degrees. Updates by Forty Nine include the modernization of the players locker room, the revamping of the premium suites, the remaking of the recruiting lounge, the fabrication of the player experience tunnel and more. Forty Nine Degrees also assisted in the renovation of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility through larger-than-life graphics and messaging, dimensional branding and interactive technology.

That's because at Bama and all colleges you have free labor. The NFL has to pay the talent in the locker room so it becomes more about ways to reduce P & L statement. Why many college facilities are better than the NFL'S.
Also Alabama (and other college programs that are good) have been banking off the backs of their student athletes.

As an X college football player I’m blown away by this. I would have lived in this facility lol I’ve never seen nothing like this at the colleges I went to.
If it's all about facilities (not coaches, philosophy, and atmosphere) then Harvard is going to win this battle. They could drop $10 billion on a diamond-studded cubicles with chairs made of exotic, rare species. But what Alabama is not doing (from what I've heard) is offering fancy athletic dorms (essentially $500K condos) to players. It is legal under the NCAA if 51% or more of the residents are non-athletes. Give 51% of the space to Deans List or scholarship holders and the rest to incoming freshman recruits. It's legal and already been done in the ACC. Jacuzzis and full kitchens with top appliances are already in place.
I never saw a locker room anywhere near this in any of the opposing teams either. It’s truly impressive. Nick Saban and Alabama know how to impress these young high school football players. After they visit Alabama nothing else compares.

I’m sooo jealous you guys have been able to visit Alabama’s facilities TWICE 🤯 I’m a student at UA and I haven’t even remotely stepped foot anywhere near the Mal Moore Complex where all our facilities are located. Even if you don't think you'll make the team, try the walk on process that they do twice a year. You get to go into Mal Moore and at least see some of the facilities.

I'm sure it's a huge recruiting tool. It's why the top programs have spent so much money on facility upgrades. This channel does a great job of showing them. There's some pretty amazing facilities out there.

They are thinking who’s giving me the best shot to get to the league in 3 or 4 years. It’s why Alabama pulls in so many top players. i’m from tuscaloosa myself and have been on versions field trips here and can tell you it’s wayyy better in person the energy within the place is electrifying.

Blown away at how good that is.
I played high school football in West Virginia and one of the teams we played had goal post made from 2x4 lumber. They also had an outside kitchen and served us a roasted pig feet and boiled potato pregame meal. Alabama had nothing on us.

Lol, my kid was offered a bunch of scholarships for college football. One of the reasons he picked the school he went to was because he loved their uniforms. 18 year old kids are influenced by the stupidest things. P Luckily they also paid the most in scholarships. He went to a FCS school.
