  • By far, without a doubt, your advice has helped me with my OCD and anxiety more than any book or motivational speaker has. I wish I had heard this advice 20 years ago when my OCD first became a problem.

  • Thank you soooo much! I honestly can’t thank you for the information you provide. I agree 100% with the comment about therapy, it took two sessions for me to quit the whole thing because there was no help provided. I came out feeling worse about myself. I should have given you my money 😂

  • One thing just came to me today about intrusive thought ocd.. It's not the intrusive thoughts themselves that are the main cuase of the problem (even though they have an emotional element to them and the themes can change) , it's the 'thing' that the thoughts are attacking that causes you to react that it's a problem. The 'thing' is what ever is most important to you or your concept of self or 'what would other people think if they found out I thought that, would the reject me?". So I think it's the individuals response to trying to keep these 'things' safe and the intrusive thoughts can make that thing seem tainted. If a person did not care about anything at all then there wouldn't be any importance placed on an intrusive thought... Also when one theme has gone and another theme replaces it, the old theme doesn't even seem to exist anymore... So the theme's are really the outward projection of ocd taking different forms trying to attack what is important to you from every angle. The theme is really irrelevant becuase it's all ocd underneath. I think it's really the fear of loss, maybe it's the subconcious' way of trying not to hide from it, but the more you do the more it keeps coming back until it's confronted completely.. This could also mean that this fear could stem from a bad situation from the past that is still trapped in your mind playing out in different ways. Any ideas on this?

    • I 100 percent agree. I had OCD when I young and coupled with a few bad experiences, it became worse in my teenage years. It got mixed with Chronic pain , psycho somatic pain. I had very many rough years. It's just now that am starting to see the light. I'm purely normal and I will do my best to cut the loop. OCD comes as an attack on the self and the personality of the person. Thoughts we find that don't align with our personal image of ourselves that make it so painful for us. You are right. There's no better way to put it

  • But Matt. I have religious ocd. Aren't the thoughts what's in my heart? They say thoughts are a product of your heart. If that's the case I'm done.

    • “They” lied. You wouldn’t have a problem with the “theme” if you were “actually” ok with it… how do you know? Because it wouldn’t be in your head… think about the things you don’t think about…. They aren’t an issue… why? Because they aren’t that important to you. “They” don’t usually know what “they” are talking about…
