  • You laugh, but the NPC's ability to stop talking and then start over was a revolutionary feature. Before that, they'd either 1) finish their line even if they died in the middle of it, or 2) stop their whole dialogue sequence at the slightest disturbance, making it inaccessible to the player forever after.

    @Lemon_Inspector@Lemon_Inspector2 жыл бұрын

    • @Boco Corwin You mean rotoscoping? I'm weirdly on the fence about how these are made. It looks rotoscoped, but the facial animation is way too smooth! The faces look more deepfaked than anything. Can you deepfake rotoscoping..??

      @Roxfox@Roxfox3 жыл бұрын
    • It’s a combination of rotoscoping and AI! I use this free program called Ebsynth that takes a single painted frame of video and uses it to stylize the adjacent frames. Once there’s too much movement or change, I have to paint another frame. It’s a huge time saver in the world of rotoscoping, I have to paint roughly 100 frames rather than thousands. It’s imperfect and creates lots of little glitches and artifacts that I like to embrace as well. From there I create the backgrounds and other assets separately and layer them all together with some effects for style in Premiere. Hope that helps!
