Sorry I been a little mia as I am a college student and finals are making me pull my hair out lol but IM COMING BACK real soon as the semester is literally almost over yayyyy. Anyways, thank you for reacting to AESPA and fun fact: they are actually good friends with BLACKPINK. The AESPA members Karina and NingNIng have confirmed this on live numerous times and even recently like a month or 2 ago went to BLACKPINK'S born pink world tour concert finale in Seoul as they were all invited by Jisoo. Here is some more information about AESPA. AESPA (pronounced ES-PA and stylized as æspa) is a four-member girl group under SM Entertainment. I think you guys know by now the big 4 music/ent companies in Korea/ kpop which are JYP, HYBE, YG, AND SM ENT. For example, BTS under HYBE, BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER under YG, yall only reacted to ONE JYP group but they are a much OLDER GROUP but they were the WONDER GIRLS and now this is the second SM group yall are reacting to as the first one yall did was RED VELVET and now AESPA. The group name meaning of aespa stands for "Avatar X Experience" as you can see those avatars amongst them throughout the video. What happens is SM has a lot of group who have some kind of superpower or alias storylines. For example, SM has a boy group named EXO and each member has a certain superpower based on their musical concepts and storyline. In AESPA, they each have their avatars aka (æs) pronounces as “eye” and they fight against their villain the “BLACK MAMBA” which this song is about. It introduces AESPA, THEIR AVATARS, and their VILLIAN in which their first few songs do go in order as it is a storyline to defeating the BLACK MAMBA. This is their debut song as you know and they debuted back in 2020 on November 17th. AESPA’s music is not something the general public would really listen to but when you become open and are a kpop Stan, their music gets VER CATCHY and SM is known to give his artists “noisy music” which people find to be an either good or bad thing. But imo, AESPA has some of the best music from SM I can actually listen to along with RED VELVET. Their mvs in order that MAINLY consist of their BLACK MAMBA storyline are BLACK MAMBA NEXT LEVEL SAVAGE DREAMS COME TRUE GIRLS WELCOME TO MY WORLD FT (NAEVIS) and u may hear a lot of MADE UP words from them in their music like KWANGA, MY NAVIS, and etc but these are all meaning of different things in their concepts. KWANGYA is the world their avatars live in and their NAVIS is an AI system that helps the avatars of aespa appear in the real world allowing them to connect with their avatars. Then some of their other MVS like SPICY, BETTER THINGS, LIFE’S TOO SHORT, SALTY & SWEET (track video), and their most recent MV “DRAMA” which I highly recommend imo, are not really related to their avatar storyline but just with mini tiny elements if anything. I feel like their concept has changed a little bit as of now and I actually like it but their storyline and some of their power elements are still within the MVS too tho tbh. IDK how to explain it, when you react to them more you willl understand what I mean Their fandom name btw is "MY" which means 'most precious friend' in KWANGYA” which is where aespa's Avatars live as I mentioned prior! MEMBERS: Karina 2:05: 23 years old, Korean, Leader, Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Vocalist, Visual, Face Of The Group, Center. Karina is also in another group called “GOT the BEAT (GIRLS ON TOP) created by SM back in December of 2021. This is SM’s first female SUPERGROUP as he already has MALE SUPERGROUPS. The members of AESPA in this are only Karina and Winter, then there are 2 members from RED VELVET in this group as well, Seulgi and Wendy, then there are a few more other SM women you have not reacted to yet so I just wanted to give yall the names of groups yall reacted to thus far. Aespa is another of the really talented girl groups that came out after the success of Blackpink and Twice. From a marketing perspective, their AI theme is really good for M/V's, but can be problematic for live performances. They seem to have moved a bit away from that recently. Like you guys said, picking favorites comes down to personal preference and that means no disrespect to the groups that don't speak to you.

This means that they may look outside the company for solo projects but they will continue as BLACKPINK, YG mentioned albums and concerts coming in the future.

@@CoachCastTV This is what I predicted over 3 years ago - not because I'm a genius, but because it made the most business sense. I only note this because this media frenzy/fiasco is prime example of why people shouldn't listen to rumors or fan theories, or even to some of these "financial entities" who made surprisingly bad predictions. The BP members are smart women and they wouldn't want to walk away from the money machine that BP is - let alone the personal connections - but they'd want to decouple their solo work and brand deals from YG since that would give them more freedom and certainly a much bigger cut of the money. It was ALWAYS that simple, and it annoyed me that no one was saying this until the last month or two.

I think it's a story about them going back-and-forth between alternate universes and they have that theme throughout the songs I have seen. Girls, my favorite and next level.
I’m sure many more people will comment this but Aespa’s debut and first several songs are very “lore” heavy. Their company, SM, made some cinematic short films that tell the story of the first 4 songs. It’s a whole sort of cyberpunk/sci-fi story they have going on. I really recommend watching the SMCU shorts that go along with the songs. Aespa has since kind of concluded that aspect of their production focus and their sound has really developed more and personally I really love their more mature sound now.

aspa have a "mythology". It's like an added element they have to the group besides the music and the dancing. Only parts of it is clear, other parts is left up to speculation for the fans. Here goes: The girls live on a planet, KWANGYA, and they are agents fighting the enemy, Black Mamba. The AI called NAEVIS is some kind of entity that connects them with there "AE" - an ae is an avarar in cyberspace where they also fight as agents against Black Mamba. It's a whole abstract drama that plays out in there videos. They are, in many ways, very experimental. They have many great videos. They are something else. Keep them on the list for something a bit different. :)

aespa is complicated - there are eight members, 4 human and 4 virtual and a whole backstory and universe. much of the lyric content in these first songs is referencing this universe and the characters within ...including ourselves the fans. Which in itself is a whole allegory for our online personas verses our real life ones etc etc. SM as a company can be quite experimental. Girls' Generation (SNSD) - "I Got A Boy" paved the way for random switch ups and is one of the most iconic songs in Kpop history and aespa's song structure leans heavily into the same idea. It certainly stands out in the follow up song "Next Level" Another former SM group that was experimental was f(x) - pronounced like Effects or the letters F X - and I highly recommend their song "Red Light". As for aespa bias's, Coach has already spotted Ning Ning but I predict Winter will be catching his eye and his ear in upcoming songs.

Well, that was... different. Great vocals, as we have come to expect from K-Pop girl groups, and they're clearly very capable dancers, but like you, I never even glanced at the subtitles, I was too occupied trying to keep up with the visuals! I also flinched back when the snake tried to jump out of the screen at me, and let out a scaredy-cat squeak! I'd be interested to see a live performance of this song, to be able to focus on the ladies themselves, without all the costume changes and special effects, as spectacular as they were... I think I might replay this, so I can focus on the subtitles, and discover what was going on with the snake...

You should definitely check out some more K-pop soloists one that I highly recommend Is Ailee who is known as the Korean Beyonce because of her amazing vocal prowess. I recommend checking out her killing voice video you really get a feel for what she can do with her voice.

Aespa is comprised of 4 girls; 2 from Korea, 1 from China ( her name is Ning-Ning, she is the one you said she got both vocals & visuals, it took a few yrs. for her to acquire Korean language in addition to singing & dancing in the R.O.K., she had been winning in singing contest in China one after another & so she was scouted to the R.O.K. ) & the last one from Japan whose father is Japanese but her mother is Korean, & went to American school in Japan, after graduating from the high school, she went to Korea, & she is the one who speaks English w/ American accent. They had mini concert in the US a few yrs ago, & also appeared in Good Morning America. They are also very popular in Japan as well as Twice & XG. My heartfelt gratitude for your intriguing amusing & genuine reaction, & I was relieved to hear they were not on your black list!!! I do agree there are too many of talented K-pop idols or oversaturated in my opinion!
