  • I would like to share a couple of thoughts about one of the topics discussed in the podcast. In my opinion, Marti is probably right; than not. Social media isn't just a part of young hockey players' lives. They are their life. While For many of us social networks are just a convenient way to quickly get sum information, for young people, activity on networks is much more important. When you're so active on social media, you can't just turn off that background noise. Because there will always be people who will tell; will ask a question; they will ask for your opinion. By the way, do players want to stay of? One NCAA football coach spoke in an interview about the social media courses they provide to young football players. In the NBA, as far as I know, something similar is also being discussed. And I think that's reasonable. Hockey players in this case are no different from musicians or actors. In recent years, we have seen more than once how the careers of stars have collapsed due to inappropriate or untimely statements. The ability to be a public figure is the same skill as the ability to pass the puck or intercept a pass. In addition, Martin repeated several times that journalists are not always wrong. It seems to Me that the ability to look at yourself from the other side is worthy of respect. Honestly, I don't believe coaches; who say that they don’t care what is written about them. It’s like no one, of course, looks at the table and goes from game to game. Maybe Marti just voiced something that others leave not public? What concerns the word truth that He used; the truth is not always the same. Just like family conflicts, where everyone has their own truth; where no one is to blame and everyone is to blame. In My opinion, here we can rather talk about how to filter information for yourself. It’s not for Me, a foreigner, to talk about this, but local media often serve the interests of structures far from sports. Well, or that's how I see it. This is just my opinion or my truth if You will. Thank you for everything you do. Your devoted listener and viewer Leo.

  • Who is untouchable? Hughes says anyone can be traded...but with he price tag Hughes seems to put on his players don't expect Guhle or Xhekaj to be traded unless you're getting a young, 1st line 100+ point player in return. Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Dach, Roy, Beck, Guhle, Xhekaj, Reinbacher, Mailloux ... most of those guys would demand an unlikely huge return, some are just in the system right now.

  • Baby Xhekaj definitely deserves the prospect spotlight. He's been doing an awesome job! As far as MSL goes- hahahahahaha. He's reading/watching/listening about himself. That should be HIS truth. To say ' maybe a little bit of vanity' is being kind. I remember before Patrick Roy came to the Bell Centre with the Isles and the press asked him what he thought about it. His answer didn't surprise me in the least. Good thing I watched the presser online because what came out of my mouth would have yanked me from youtube for life. I also remember the night Roy was there. Montreal gave him a beautiful welcome and the fans went insane. Yet again the press asked him about what he thought, and again his ridiculous answer was no surprise. Jealously, once again, reared it's ugly head. Regardless of that .....I believe, and have believed since last year, that both KH and MSL need to go.

  • Untouchables 1.- Harris. SMART! Hands off! 2.- Joshua Roy. Non non. 3.- Arber. Because Arber. Btw, sounds like Marty is on a bad acid trip through the Rumsfeld Matrix. Dat da troo. Can we have a real coach next year?
