Word, gives more people a shot. It's not fair for champion to just get to fight again for the belt just cause they lost it over and over again. So many fighters deserve a shot and for every fight for the belt Moreno gets someone else misses out. I love the Baby Assassin don't get me wrong he's from my hometown but I do want the divisions to get more complicated and violent. That is the way.

No, this is asinine. Moreno has fought 6 title fights in a row but only has 1 successful title defense and lost 2 of last 4. Recycling the same guys who just lost into the title fight again hurts the division. A rematch is only needed for controversies and long standing champs with 5+ defenses.

No sir, idr what point in the fight it was but Brandon really hurt Pantoja and from that point on he wanted nothing to do with standing in front of Brandon, tried to hold him for the rest of the fight, putting in NO work against the cage and non existent ground and pound. Brandon continued to show good defense getting back to his feet every time. Until the end when Pantoja literally held on his back for dear life, throwing 0 punches.

0-3 in MMA? No. If Moreno wins, would Pantoja get a rematch for a 5th fight? Then, after that. At what point does it stop. Let the division play out. Yes, it was a great fight but you don’t need to see it again. The result was the same as the last 2 times they fought.

You won't see many fights top this. The speed and precision of top level fighters in lower weight classes is incredible. Of course I wouldn't mind seeing this again, although at the same time I don't want another version of the Moreno vs Figgy quadrilogy, where it gets old and overplayed after awhile.
Except it never got old, all their fights were entertaining and brought eyes toward the flyweight division.

People are so okay with Brandon Moreno getting robbed, and then saying that he doesn’t deserve the title shot or he didn’t win the fight when Pam Tozier definitely did not do enough to take the belt from he him. That’s what everyone has always said about this title fights, you have to beat the Champion to be the champion, so why does that not apply when it comes to Brandon Moreno. He wasn’t beat. Dude couldn’t even submit Moreno in any of those scrambles and he’s supposed to be top tier bjj, he wasted a whole round on Brandon’s back trying to get a choke that wasn’t there literally wasted the last round and people act like that was him being successful, these belts are a joke anymore. “Pass it to the next guy we need some Brazilian money”
@@Floridaman2015 except Pantoja did beat Moreno, once again, fair and square. This idea that the challenger has to "leave no doubt" and take the belt is very flawed to begin with. Fights should be scored accurately no matter the circumstance and regardless of who is fighting. And the judges, except the one that scored it 4-1 Moreno, got the decision right.
Up to two weeks ago most people had never heard of Pantoja. You wanna know why? Because UFC only focused on Figgy vs Moreno. Let us see what the other fighters can do
Moreno broke his hand in round 1 and was still in the fight for 4 more rounds. He deserves a rematch.

This is a fight and in this fight Brandon Moreno won by damage and effective striking. Pantoja had a couple of takedowns during the fight where he had control for a handful of minutes but did absolutely nothing with that position. This is a continued problem with MMA judging.
some casuals have to understand that this is MMA not boxing, Pantoja has more fight IQ and managed well.

Brandon had good defense got back to his feet and kept snapping Pantojas head back. Pantoja didnt want the smoke you saw it at the end, hugging Brandon for dear life.

Moreno broke his hand early in the fight I was wondering why he wasnt as explosive as he was against kkf. I think the fight would have been different if not for that.

Need to change the way control time works. Control time should only be counted up if you are also threatening a submission or ground & pounding your opponent. Sitting on someone's back in itself isn't control, and if it is then it certainly shouldn't be a big factor in scoring fights

Pantoja had Moreno rocked in the 1st. was gassed by the third. He was afraid to go toe to toe on the feet with Moreno. Moreno easily had hand speed over Pantoja. Little baby used his jujitsu to body triangle and hold Moreno down for the majority of the last 3 rounds. What a pathetic way to win a fight. Seems like either you all are rookies or you didn't see the fight to begin with 😂

it was a great fight and michael has a great point no ones gonna complain about seeing another great fight. my only argument is that flyweight needs some more motion, moreno has fought figgy 4 times and now pantoja another 3. no title defences. where are the other contender fights? i think Mokaev and Albazi smoke these guys any day of the week, lets give them a chance at gold and actually add some credibility to the division instead of making it the Moreno show

I’m usually for champs getting a rematch unless dominated but the division is just so good I genuinely don’t know who’s the best and they all deserve a shot. I’d say Moreno fights albizi, deivison fights Rouval. More impressive win fights for belt less impressive win fights Kai losers fight each other.
Moreno lost 2 of his last 4 fights, he has had enough title shots and never successfully defended. He needs to get some kind of a win streak before getting another chance, minimum 2 win streak against top 7 guys.
