I love how intently they all listen to each other. Marty is a treasure I love that man
its really wholesome to see/hear scorsese so satisfied and happy with his work, like at his age to still be improving and caring about his craft is wonderful. im glad that everyone who worked on the film is happy and enjoyed the process.
We had 3 directors in their 80s make films. Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Hayao Miyazaki. How amazing!
Lily’s face is beaming while Scorsese sings his praises of her her, and Scorsese misty eyes show how much this story moved all of them. Their time in the community & with the Osage really stuck with them, telling this story felt paramount to them.
Killers of the Flower Moon should win Best Picture at the Oscars. It's a masterpiece and tells a very important story.
Agreed. The fawning over Oppenheimer is obnoxious. That movie frustrated me with its bloated running time, & I couldn't hear the dialogue most of the time. Killers of the Flower Moon I thought was amazing.
@@filmbuff2777 I liked both but i think Oppenheimer deserves Best Picture.
Turned off Oppenheimer at 20 min. Couldn't take it anymore. Nolan directs like a robot. This had humanity in abundance.
No. It should not. It was a more disjointed Schindler's List. Earnest Burkhart was an asshat, and his ending was true justice.
Leonardo DiCaprio & Tom Cruise >>> anybody else in Hollywood
Ernest Burkhart is the character I thought about and debated long after the movie was over. Leo was absolutely phenomenal.
It's shocking Leo won his Oscar for a character who spent a few hours grunting in the snow after being mauled by a bear but wasn't even nominated for his subtly oscillating performance of a compromised but compelling character like Ernest.
@@Kevon420 He was good. I wouldn't describe his performance as subtle in any way, shape or form, though.
@@lukewilliam3601there are elements of it that are broad, especially during the crime planning scenes, but there are tons of beats that are very subtle as the movie builds to its conclusion.
But Leo got snubbed big time for a Oscar nod
@@mohammedkhadeer9887 out of curiosity…is this supposed to be an original comment? The character has an underbite. People are making way too big a deal out of the prosthetics.
Leo is a brilliant talent. I love all his work. Marty and Lily are magnificent as well.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise are the last big Hollywood stars. No one is on their level.
@@Ethan58282Stallone, Hanks, Ford, Washington, hello ?!
@@lexkanyima2195 They are great but Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio are way more famous around the world. For people outside the US, DiCaprio and Tom Cruise are literally Hollywood.
@@Ethan58282 so as the name that i mentioned
DiCaprio was superb in Killers of the Flower Moon. He deserves an award. The movie was wonderful as well. It was presented to its viewers as an important part of history!
Love this movie! Leo deserved a nomination also
He got snubbed
I love how Lily smiled hearing Scorsese praising her performance in Certain Woman, a movie not many came across I suppose
Lily.
She is absolutely stunning 😍
Love Leo… Should have been nominated.. Awesome performance by him as always..❤
The best movie I have seen in a long long time....thank you so much Marty, Leo, Lily and Bob for making such an amazing movie
I wish I could thank them in person for making this film.
Very true 🙏
Lily Gladstones laughter is so infectious and genuine she is amazingly beautiful discerning compassionate and comfortable with herself. I pray Hollywood perversions never change the natural virtuous beauty of this precious woman.
She is an actress, that means she wants what every other actress wants, Money, fame, spotlight, to rub shoulders with powerful directors and Producers, stop painting her as a saint, Infact had she been a saint she would Have been useless to them.
@@user-nn7nt1tq2eoh, shut up. You sound like a robot with zero artistry in your brain or veins.

@@user-nn7nt1tq2eLily is a great person with a wonderful heart. A hard worker, and fun to have around. She loves people and wants to help others how she can. She’s been diving deep for years and deserves success, health, financial stability and happiness.
I don’t care how long that movie was. It was and still is amazing film. I also love that it was 3hrs 26mins long. So worth it. Hope Lily Gladstone wins an Oscar for this, maybe Martin Scorsese could finally wins his 2nd Oscar for Best Director, or maybe for Best Picture.
Lily deserves this Oscar, I’ve never felt so heartbroken from an actresses performance
If Lily Gladstone doesn’t win best actress at the Oscar’s it will be the most devastating things that ever happened to me because the story she told through her eyes her body language her dialect her emotions was so important and deserves to be recognized
She won golden globes and many other prestigious award already. It doesn't really matter if she wins Oscar or not. Everybody recognise her now.
@@Baukleben she would be the first native american to ever win in the category at the Oscar’s that’s a honor and hope for my people
Sorry but it’s Emma’s oscar
@@ItsYaBoi34 we’ll see
@@ItsYaBoi34 I think it's Lily's Oscar..
Best Picture Best Director Best Actress
It has to overcome a huge obstacle as the last time a film win best picture without screenplay nomination was when Titanic won best picture while missing screenplay nom in 1997. Overall only about 7 films in 95 years Oscar history, this has happened... so i won't sweat it
@@IJustHaveMoviesAndLifesince Raging Bull
Sad that The Academy will sub this movie big at the Oscars
@@SuperWhofan1if fucking Barbie wins anything I’ll riot
"Killers of the Flower Moon" should win Best Picture Oscar.
3 legends , one room ❤
It’s really one of his best movies in I would say in a long time. Especially in a time when movies aren’t special like this anymore . It was a story that was sad but needed to be told . The first 15 minutes i had tears in my eyes and that’s when I knew. He has one . Marty you did it again one of your best EVER
Lily is the breakout star here.. so loved her performance
She is 36, so how is she a breakout star

I love Lily Gladstone so much. Sitting there with that shy smile while one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of cinema heaps compliments on her.
Bless you Lily. Bringing that authentic self ❤
💚 You guys, you write the history of cinema with your brilliant work..
I want to see more from Lily Gladstone. She reminds me of my grandmother, who grew up in Oklahoma on the reservation. Same eyes.
I love and admire Marty so much. and Lily is so graceful
Lily is a very smart woman! Brilliant
I need a Scorsese action figure, he’s so cute. 🥰
Wonderful human being. ❤
What Marty says at the end about him watching the film is interesting to me because halfway thru watching it the thought occurred to me ‘no one directed this film, it just happened’. And when he shows up as a character the feeling intensified. There’s a transcendent realness to the picture.
Leo shoulda got a nomination
True, I usually don’t think he’s that good but he was great in the film
Just like how Academy robbed Leo in Aviator
Lily deserves to win the oscar for best actress , her acting during the movie was amazing , Scorsese, as his meme says "Absolute Cinema 🤚🤚😊
It's a remarkable film. I'm so glad Martin chose to make it in order to bring this heartbreaking story of what the Osage people endured into the spot light. I certainly wasn't aware of the Osage murders until a few days before watching the film.
They did fenomenal Leo and Lily did absolutely amazing 🤩 ❤
Scorsese praising himself was lovely!
Go Lily!
I so enjoyed this interview. As I'd seen the movie just the other night. Bless, Marty! 🙏🏼
Lilly did a fantastic job in the movie
I absolutely LOVE her style
Love that Lily speaks with a presence of empowerment. Prayers that Creator can continue to empower her and our Indigenous people's across Turtle Island. May our stories be told and may they be heard. May our Ancestors be honored and our 7 Generations before us be blessed by whats happening today.
Love this interview
I enjoyed this film. It was long but incredibly beautiful and powerful. I was intrigued by every character, it was more a subtle slow build, I was hooked to see where it was going to go. Molly is a survivor, the strongest character among all of them, silent but deadly.
Magnificent interview. ❤
The Killers Of The Flower Moon became One Of My Favorites Films Ever!! The direction from Scorsese, the production and the actins from Leonardo Di Caprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro and others it's so brilliant and perfect!! Also i read the Killers Of The Flower Moon novel from David Grann and it's Amazing!! 🎥📖🔥👏🏻
Looking forward to seeing this movie!
TRIO DA PESADA!! 👏🏻🇧🇷
Ohhh. She stood up. 🙌
leo keeping his face like that thru the movie is insane
This movie was so sad but so beautifully made ❤
I love Leo over all men
I am so happy for Martin Scorcese and Bob de Niro. They have had an impact on my cinematic experience and this movie is one of those, that they always gave to the people so generously. As for Lily and Leo, they are up there with the greats, having created iconic characters in film. Much love ❤️.
Wonderful film. Great performances by the entire cast. Didn’t seem long at 3 1/2 hours.
God bless 🙌 Marty to have Leonard and Lilly in one greatest movie that I love ❤️ 😊🙏🫶👏😘💯😇✨️🤲
i love leo,you are sooooooooooo talented!!
Leo played amazing role like he always does, still can’t believe he got snubbed by the Oscars!
It was a great movie it was funny heartwarming it hit different angles of your emotions
Lily Gladstone would make an incredible Joan in The Passion of Joan of Arc.
I dont know why De Niro is not in any of these interviews!
The fact that Leo was originally supposed to play a Dectective in this
The book focuses more on the detective angle. And I'm sure that role would have been much bigger if Leo played it.
Best movie of the year. Best director of all times. A masterpiece. Thank you, Marty and company. ❤
Nobody's talking about the music, and it was frickin' nominated!! It was great! building tension through the whole film! A very creative choice!!
Lily for Oscar!!!! ❤
Leo DiCaprio was almost cast as Detective Tom White , but he felt that it’d make it another movie about indigenous people seen from a white outsider perspective, so it was written to bring Ernest and Millie Burkhart more into focus, and tell the story from within the Osage community. So Jesse Plemons plays Tom White, who doesn’t actually appear in the film until the 3rd hour.
Movie was great and and followed true. All three actors should have gotten Oscars!
Lily is gorgeous love her in rez dogs.
Incredibly powerful at this time. Sacred and painful… thank you. Mitakuye oyasin.
Leo was snubbed
Damn right
Awesome discussion unsure if .Oviedo is out yet!
Such lovely voices and lovely people
Definitely not a movie that I could rewatch , I've never felt so many strong emotions and a short period of time . I loved it though but I didn't know that I could cry so hard
It is pure💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎best from Croatia
I thing the work martin did whit mollie is the best part of this film. He made Lily shine, and she´s culture. He create amazing female character
What were they smoking when they didn’t nominate DiCaprio for best actor 😭
I watched it [my movie] in [...] and I like it *laughs of Lily and Leo* I'm sorry I liked it Lmao, I liked it too, amazing director !

We like it too, Marty!
Killers of the flower moon the best movie of the year, 100% oscar deserve but leonardodicaprio not nominated best actor why?? I don't know, but Leo Leo 👑👑🔥🔥
The only reason I’m interested in the Oscar’s this year is due to Lily Gladstone, Cillian Murphy and their respective movies! They deserve it
I can not imagine calling Mr Scorsese “Marty”…..
❤ love movie
2:30 yep, cannot have betrayal without love
Looks like ,GREAT MOIVIE !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
Great interview. Sincere and humble. I wish more people knew how truly dedicated to authenticity Scorsese was to this project and the Osage Nation. Lily became so connected to the people, she has returned to Osage County multiple times since the movie wrapped. She was there last week the day Oscar nominations were announced, and celebrated with tribal members. Best wishes to the nominees, including Scott George for Best original song…’Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)’ seen here as head drummer (green shirt). kzhead.info/sun/n7x9hq-RipVnmmg/bejne.htmlsi=OsFIQES_Zlk950i7 kzhead.info/sun/iM5xh5Ztgptupqc/bejne.htmlsi=_7nM7yLX7kFnHu6O
Edit, unsure if Movie is out yet. Rural Northern Californian mostly out there, it looks like a must See and I should be a movie goer again, has it been released, it seems not.
The film was brilliant. My favourite of last year. It should win many Oscars, but like The Irishman & Gangs of New York, it will be ignored. Only Lily Gladstone has a chance of winning, but Scorsese deserves another one. The fawning over Oppenheimer is incredibly obnoxious. This movie was bloated, with a pretentious time shifting structure only done to justify the ending. I couldn't hear the dialogue because of Nolan's obsession with hard to hear audio. Killers of the Flower Moon was a little longer, but I didn't feel the length because of Thelma Schoonmaker's incredible editing. She also deserves to win another Oscar. Scorsese continues to make great, great films at 80, & he is vastly more diverse as a filmmaker than he is given credit for.
EXCCELLENT MOVIE I LEARNED A LOT VERY INTERESTING AND SAD
💯
If this movie was two and a half hours it would’ve been a top 5 Scorsese film
At 3 & a half hours, I found this was quite a breeze. Oppenheimer was only a little shorter, but felt like a chore.
👏👏
Nice Movie
🌹
I appreciate that Scorsese told the story from the white man’s perspective, that’s appropriate. But I believe it would have been a much deeper and even more powerful movie if told from the Osage perspective. I hope that happens too. When DiCaprio refers to “the backstory,” is he referring to the Osage perspective?
The movie was basically Scire
i would consider myself a movie buff but turns out i've only seen, and favored: The Last Temptation of Christ, Goodfellas, and #FlowerMoon, correction: The last temptation of Christ was fine but my favorite is The Passion Of Christ by Mel Gibson
Leo's acting,"hey look at me im acting please give me an oscar".
Loved lily's performance, specially at the beginning of the film, when Leonardo's character was trying to get into her pants, and she was not bitting it. So funny 🤓.
