Based on how much micro is needed for Corvus, it's likely meant to solo a lot of rounds far in to the game. It basically changes the game play if you think about it lol the towers are just to assist you while corvus is meant to be the main tower.
It can probably be done with just a 024 glue and 030 village on most maps

Usually when they release a new hero it'll be too op and they would have to nerf it but I'm shocked at how well balanced they made Corvus.
I think of it less as balanced but how much efford you put into using corvus - the more attention you put into using him the better he is, I think NK actually intended for corvus to beat 1tc if played perfectly. though I might be wrong and they nerf him or make it nigh impossible
@@philipp5756asically a hero with a really high skill floor and an even higher skill ceelling, to a point the hero in his own isn't that good (for people that doesn't know how to micro, and his abilities) but at the same time it can do well 1tc 💀

You can't be serious. A chimps completion with 1k dollars spent should NOT be possible. Of course it is micro heavy. But when you add all the necessary support, chimps becomes INSANELY easy.

Every time I see an ISAB vid about Corvus I’m left saying “There’s no way Corvus can go further beyond this…” and every time I’m shocked when he does. Corvus claimed the rarest title in BTD6 History, the title of 1TC

I found a bug with Corvus’ Overload. If you use overload, the spirit and most spells can’t be used for a set cooldown. Recovery isn’t one of those spells. If you use overload then use recovery and immediately cancel it, the spirit immediately comes back without needing to wait the cooldown.
Hopefully Corvus isn't gonna be nerfed, it's a great hero, a lot of potential, but VERY difficult to unleash that potential, requiring a lot of focus and thought that would otherwise be put into normal tower's placement and strategy, basically being a tower defense game by itself and being very unique, since it makes it so you can split your focus 50% on to the towers and 50% on to the hero instead of the usual 10% into the hero or whatever A great hero that is worth the 7000 monkey money
btd6 players when they see some incredibly gamebreaking OP thing (they think nothing should ever be nerfed)
And Alchemist bug don't need to be fixed too
They should nerf him, he is still over tuned. 7g monkey money is just to farm you. Absolutely zero towers (heros are just towers with voice actors and levels) should 1tc on any official map unless it is a joke map for a special event. I don't care if it's hard, difficulty isn't the point. Besides, towers that could even come close to 1tc typically made most maps on chimps trivial with support while other towers didn't get to see the light of day. Think pre meteor inferno ring
@@whiteerdydude To be fair I think Geraldo 1tc is fine because it requires spending a lot of money on buying items, but Corvus 1tc can be done without even spending money on levels, which is insane.
@@whiteerdydudeDude, it’s Logs. The easiest map in the game. You’d have a point if Corvus was shaking the meta on any actual maps, but he’s not. Also 7k is not that bad.
Imo, if you can 1TC with Corvus with the amount of micro needed to do it then you kinda deserve it. They can maybe nerf him and make it harder to do so but i hope they dont gut him to the ground when they eventually nerf him cause i think its really cool that you can do this but its reserved to only those who can micro manage him hard
It's still pretty ridiculous if you think about it though, solving chimps with no cash spent is pretty indicative of an op tower

Corvis is a really good tower however the skill ceiling is very high
They definitely weren't wrong when calling corvus "the most complex hero", though I think the complex part is less about understanding his abilities and instead more towards *how* you use his abilities
i think corvus being this strong for the game pre-freeplay is exactly how strong he should be. if a hero that needed this much brainpower and micro WASNT able to do this i would probably think it was too weak. corvus is still strong as a tower without significant micro as well, which is perfect. i think nk did a swell job with making him feel like he has a high skill ceiling without making him feel like you NEED to be doing that. you could totally just set corvus down and have a global range Pretty Good tower with some extra options for what you might need in a round
No nerf needed. If you can do this you just deserve it.

Corvus seems like the perfect hero for challenge runs. Extremely difficult to use, but extremely powerful when used well
Corvus although micro heavy is amazing for content. love all the decision making on every round makes for really dynamic gameplay.
yeah this makes sense, even just using malevolence at the start of the map with lightning spear can do a decent amount of heavy lifting throughout the entire game so this doesn’t surprise me cool regardless though

It looks like overload might be affected by line of sight, cause when u were on 98 one of the tests killed the f-bfb's in the back, but not in the top, under the log.

For the purples and lead I use frostbound so they are all in range then use the soul harvest to pop them.
Next hero they release will be like 651 dollars and only be able to 1tc on maps that you can get a free pop from the map in some way.
I actually play a game named Mindustry and that has a Unit/Tower that is named Corvus. But it shoots lasers and is extremely OP. Great vid by the way

I think that since corvus is pretty much a micro hero I think it's fair that you can 1tc with him.
challange idea: get corvus to level 20 as soon as posible you can use money to power lewel him can use norishment ofc. I think finding the best ballance between good farming and leveling him would be an interesting and challenging concept.

Corvus only for as far as you can go and building farms with the money built up would be an incredible amount of money for a quick build to late game.

I dont like nourishment. It's fun in theory, but then it means that optimal corvus play is playing him as little as possible. They really should change it. Maybe have something that increases the cost of spells, but they give corvus xp
I'm at Round 81 with level 13 corvus on a base druid + corvus run on logs. That 'must have level 20 by round 95' is really good to know.

honestly corvus's balance is hella weird, it's clear he's overtuned, you have literally the whole chimps budget to buy stalls, camo detection, buffs, ect. but at the same time he is already so micro intensive that most players likely are never gonna play him because the skill floor is way too high compared to even geraldo so nerfing him directly would just kill all interest in the character. that all said it might be an over reaction due to multitrack maps absolutely mess with heli style tracking especially since this is on logs. sure sauda was nerfed for resort but she is the most braindead hero besides maybe ben, using her is effectively a free chimps win on easier maps. corvus on the other hand, his wins are far from free.
Corvus is just unbelievably broken man, yall complaining about his macro but the reward is so good for the work you put, and even if you don't focus on macro at all and just build towers Corvus infinite range spirit helps alot, you see a camo wave but u were greeding money towers, just use vision and spear lol I love Corvus even more than Benjamin, I hope the nerf isn't bad

judging by this i feel like a few things should be made weaker - i think making the earlygame a bit worse for corvus would be good so they cant solo; but mostly i think overload should be nerfed... the layerskipping is good; i just think either the spirit should take much longer to come back; or just the spells cooldown should be a lot longer so it cant just nuke every round later on
I think they'll remove the layerskip again in the next update
@@dary3 i think having a super powerful spell like layerskipping overload is fun but just needs balance either in longer downtime or lower damage; otherwise itd never really feel very worth it i think i feel like it really should be more like a last resort nuke button than anything else
