Heyo BRNK, would be great to play with 1k unit cap for next bigger Supcom2 game. You just have to change asingle line in the game data to make it possible! Sadly the AI is hardcoded to 500, so it will only work for you in skirmishes and mp-matches.. For the ultimate shield+eco-spammage!
This is why I dislike Subcom2. Throughout this entire fight, BRNK would have lost to a single unstopable strat: The Fortress Ctrl K. Still enjoyable, just for the sheer amount of mayham. Also: Brnk. Light Arti has a "I wreck experimentals" mode.
What is the The Fortress Ctrl K ?
@@R4d6 1. Build giant flying thing 2. Fly it above your enemy 3. Self-destruct the flying thing 4. You and enemy watch as flying thing falls on enemy and there is nothing he can do about it.
Don't forget about the loyalty gun
@@beauc7992 Addition: Crash dmg will go through shields. Hunker is the only viable counter and rushing hunker just to NOT die to a Fortress rush is insane. Even if you can intercept it: The Fortresses have built in Anti-Air and tank a shitload of dmg, on its way through your base it will blast unshielded infrastructure and even if 1-2 die before reaching the target: the Crash dmg will wipe out any building below it, ruining the base. And since Mass is not that important in SC2, you wont loose because of the mass donation. So either: 1) You make your opponen spend research to go hunker and wipe out most of their base. or: 2) They die. Fun challenge: Rush fortresses, (3-4) and spam bombers out of them in the Air-Tutorial campaign mission. Ignore the fatboy production and go for the enemy base (a +3 Vet commander). Watch as 2 of your fortresses make it to the com and fall onto it. If he survives due to 3 of your fortresses being shot down before it: finish with the bombers. Completion time: 10 minutes for Mission 4.

Years ago when Subcom 2 was new I just wanted play slow research, no arty and no experimentals, you know to actually have fun instead of massive arty or experimental spam stomping you.

Works better if you build two turrets our front to stop the ais so they don’t harass any of your mass extractors. You can contain them pretty easy. Your eco boom goes faster if you go with a airbase right after the turrets and three research centers it helps with your scouting. If you stay max out structure first it’s worth while getting some arty out if not full blown arty with shields protecting all you can. The ai always builds arty and sends 3 nukes at once, so at least getting 3 anti nukes ready around the 18 minute mark and having arty out to take out whichever ai is spamming arty or is the biggest threat. For me, I’m always short on mass even on this map. Mass converters usually take up a lot of space and come late game helps a ton on maintaining that max unit cap.
Would like it if they actually made a another supreme commander you know like Supreme Commander 3 but you with more of the Supreme Commander 1 tech load outs
a fun counter to those at the 1 spot on the map vs the 3 is ac1000 and megalith spam

rip potato. UEF is probably the best turtle sure, but cybran will always be the most fun turtle for me, mostly because unit magnets
the unit magnet is kind of a hilarious unit xD
It can appearently rip apart air units if there are multiple of them together. I lost a tournament because of that trick... Couldn't kill them when I had 8 factors all pumping out air units and didn't understand the power of cybran.
best thing about this game is the pathing... can we steal this for faf? xD

Because they changed how the mass system works so there's no need for it.

I miss stripping entire maps of mass as my aircraft blot out the sun and stars themselves
Most things that made SupCom 1 great is complately missing in this game. Like passive mass converters, different tiers, support acu's, modular Acu's for different strategy, actual basic defence (walls for instance), harvesting wood for mass.....
Yeah, but there is still a bit of fun to be had :)

I enjoyed Supreme Commander 2 for a few months it just didn't have a lot of longevity. Sup Com 1 was pretty garbage till the patch before Forged Alliance came out. I preferred Total Annihilation to both of course.

if this had been a water map and brink was playing Cybran naval upgrades would have been a major priority. The Cybran navy is horribly/hilarious op in this game.
