What a great spot. I've never seen a Little Owl let alone photograph one. I have a spot here in Brisbane where a pair of Powerful Owls have bred successfully over the last three years. Love these hide videos. 👍
Thanks very much John, never heard of Powerful Owls (just looked them up) but they sound amazing. Appreciate your continued support mate 👍🏻
Wonderful hide and wonderful video! Owls are such cool animals. I have them in my back yard, but I never see them. I only find the remnants of what they regurgitate and their scat on the ground under the tree. Thanks for sharing your trips with us!
Thanks very much Jon, have you not considered getting a trail camera to capture what is visiting your back yard? It would be cool to see 👍🏻
Great video again Dan, heading up to the little owls with Paul soon, really looking forward to it 👍
Thanks very much Ben, I'm sure you will have a fantastic time with Paul. Please pass on my regards to him 👍🏻
Cheers Dan, great images. All the best. 👍📷😎

Thanks very much to you both, it’s great to get comments from people from other countries I really appreciate it 👍🏻
Great video Dan with excellent photos and videos. I love Little Owls and I'm fortunate to have access to them on private land, we often go and watch them.
Thanks for your comment I really appreciate it. I used to watch a pair very close to where I live but they survive a particularly harsh winter and that was the last Pops and me have seen of them round here. Very lucky to have a permission to watch them on private land. All the best 👍🏻
Another great video Dan. I’ve photographed Little Owls at a small hide over in North Wales run by Gary Jones and a guy called Alan. Also really good venue. Let me know if you’ve not been there. Always love photographing them as they can be so comical with them facial expressions. 😃
Thanks for this Ian, I’ve not been to this hide but know of Gary Jones so definitely something I will look into 👍🏻
No worries Dan. Do have Gary’s contact details if you want them for future.
@@ianwilson99 my email is dannwillis79@gmail.com if you don’t mind sharing his details 👍🏻
@@danwillis_photography No worries Dan will come back to you with them. 👍
Smashing, it's ironic, worked all those years with the birds of prey but hardly took any photos as was busy with daily clearing maintenance and fly displays. We did photographic days but was very intense setting up for still shots and flying, we had all sorts of chick's that were hand reared plus 7 or 8 week old parent reared , so missed out on photo opportunities .Thankfully I am able to enjoy your great videos and photos, not forgetting your dad's, absolutely wonderful cheers Derek 👍
Thank you very much Derek for sharing your experiences working with some of the best animals on the planet, I can only imagine how fulfilling that must have been as a job. Thanks for your continued support mate, all the best 👍🏻
nice photos
Thanks very much 👍🏻

Another fabulous experience. I noticed the cam cover on your camera is also becoming very experienced 😆. Still, hardly surprising when you've taken 4000 images in half a day. Great images again as well as video footage. Keep up the good work.

Fabulous images! These owls closely resemble the burrowing owls here in the United States. They are a lifer bird for me. I hope to go on tour next spring and get my first photos of them.
Thanks for your comment Freeman. I have seen photographs of the burrowing owls and they look an incredible little bird and one I would love to get the chance to photograph. I hope your tour next spring gets you the results. All the best 👍🏻
Great video Dan. I don’t know if you know this but if you see a little owl at night shining a torch it has really bright eyes and if it’s on the ground if you keep the torch on it you can walk right up to them. Done it all the time as kids on the farm.
Thanks for sharing that Bob, I had no idea that you could do that. Appreciate the comment 👍🏻
Stunning Dan thank you for your work and time to bring us these great videos. Never know might see you around the Peak District I visit a lot with the camera .
Cheers Rob, appreciate your comment. If you do see me out and about, please do come and say hello to me or Pops. We always enjoy a chat with likeminded people. All the best 👍🏻

When you do, make sure you choose the Shortbread - Mark and Sue are amazing hosts, you won’t be disappointed. Is there anyway to send you a PM on some other things to look out for in the area?
Come off it Dan, never heard of Little Owls? You Northerners need to get out more mate! 😂 We have loads of them down here in East Anglia, probably our commonest owl species. Cracking vlog as always mate, some lovely images & video footage & I always enjoy your content. With regards to places to visit, I know of lots that I don’t think you have visited yet. I will DM you on Insta or FB & give you a few suggestions, maybe even meet up with you at one of them…. Keep on keeping on mate! Best, Nick
