Holy crap! I love how it pokes its head out of the water and just sort of looks around, "No big deal, I'll FLAP..." and then it starts levitating... They are such amazing birds. And this is a great little vid! Thanks!

Imagine the kind of eyesight you have to have to pinpoint target a fish (that’s moving!) way in the sky and dive down and pluck them out of the water like that, it’s always amazed me about them.

Saw one in Spain that did drown - once hooked in and fighting it went under 3 times and didn’t make it up. I never saw the body afterwards - sad, but sometimes you bite off more than you can chew…..nature.
