  • Genuine question: aren’t hair products different per hair type? Especially between different curl levels and ethnicities?

    • generally products that work on really curly hair are still great for straight hair but not the reverse. So while straighter hair can handle harsher products or less hydrating products, it also is genuinely fine receiving more sensitive & hydrating products which is what curly hair needs. I would argue curly hair shampoos and conditioners are more inclusive. That being said there are obviously other products (i.e. oils, mousses, creams, etc.) that are specifically for curly hair and would probably over-hydrate or leave unnecessary residue in thinner/straighter hair types - shampoo and conditioner is generally not one of them though since it's cleansing and rinsed out.
