BMW E65 E66 HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE BAD DRIVE SHAFT SUPPORT BEARING OR GUIBO FLEX DISC
► Our Website: mechaniclifestyle.com
Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to know if you have a bad drive shaft support bearing or bad guibo / flex disc on BMW 7 series E65 or E66. If you have a bad driveshaft support bearing you will be able to feel the vibrations under accelerating escpecially 1st and 2nd gear hard acceleration. If the guibo / flex disc is bad you might feel really hard downshifts and jerking. You might even feel you need a new transmission that is how bad and hard shifting it feels.

As always, your videos are top shelf! Buddy, when you decided to start making videos you did s great service to us all! Nailed it like usual!
fantastic video please keep them coming for the e65..
Just wanted to say thank you. Been chasing a “phantom tranny issue” for 5 friggen years. And it was my flex disk all along. 👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
how so did you have a slight vibration under the seat?
We're you geting Trans falt code?
Is it only noise you hear or do you feel a vibration?
I thought I had a Guibo problem, but in this video you suggest that it is only related to down shifting and in the lower gears. Is that right? My issue (2005 745i w/ 56K miles) seems only to be in 5th gear. Even with steady gas pedal, I feel it lurching /tugging randomly and frequently.
Hi, i know its very late but have you gotten it fixed? I have the same issue and wonder what it is
@@Gummyphone three years later, same problem. it happens right around 40 MPH. Good news is that it is not any worse.
@@hossinkb yep, same exact thing with mine but good to know👍 thx a lot for the reply buddy
i have 2008 E60 530i and since 4-5 days i have a hard vibration from middle/back of the car when accelerating at some speeds. If i let go the throttle or i put in neutral it stops vibrating, so it only does when accelerating. The car ran perfectly before this, no problems in shifting . Could be the flex disc and the drive shaft bearing ? The car has 133000 kms and i don't think those parts were ever changed. Thanks
Radu Malica my e90 has a similar problem, did u find the problem?
This sounds like exactly what our e90 does, but it’s only in the first 2-3 seconds or so of first and second gear, and does it even on light throttle input, gets louder with a hard launch/more throttle
Was this your problem?
What part of Europe you from
Rrrrrrussia
Sexiest accent on the planet. Like angels singing!
GUIBO? GIUBO .....
I didnt hear any noise, pointless video
Agreed. If he would let us hear it instead of him talking... We might have heard it. Lol.
Good intentions but the video is useless. It's unclear what noise he is referring to and accent is hard to understand.
