+AfroKenny I understand what you're saying, but what about the Saints return to the Superdome, or Bush throwing a perfect opening pitch in the first Yankee's game after 9/11. I think it can elevate to something beyond just being a game
@ASNnKC9137 жыл бұрын
AfroKenny it's "just a game" to you because you clearly aren't passionate about it. For those of us that are innately passionate about sports, it's far more than "just a game". And for the athletes that pour a lifetime of extremely hard physical effort and work into honing their skills to a professional level...it's far more than "just a game". What sports means to you "at the end of the day" is just that..what it means TO YOU

2010s one had so much potential but came up short. The 2000s and the 20th century montages were some of the greatest in history and ESPN's finest. Still get chills watching this and the 20th century one. 😢 Edit: Clocks couldn't have been a more perfect song for this montage.

I might dare say, I think this video was far better than the Century video ESPN did. For one, 100 years is a long time and the video seemed a little crammed. Because this was only 10 years, they got to add in a lot more little moments, which I think made it more satisfying. Also, while I do like Aerosmith, I honestly think Dream On felt a little cheesy for that video. Clocks was amazing for this video. It worked perfectly for every moment, high and low. Just my opinions, and just wanted to see how many agreed with me lol.
@DexterHeisenbergBruh2 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. This video is a master piece. As someone who loves sports, each moment is significant and the lyrics line up perfectly.
@davizic2 жыл бұрын
This montage should be shown in film school. I work in film editing and the amount of time and effort it would take to create something like this is astounding. Almost every major event from the 10 year period is covered and seamlessly cut together. What's even more incredible is a lot of the clips reflect the lyrics of the song. I hope whoever put this together at ESPN was promoted or given a huge bonus because this is literally perfect from start to finish.
@greenbayfan39211 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely one of the greatest sports videos ever. Whoever put this together deserves something!

Byron Leftwich seriously injured his leg during a game against Akron, but came back into the game. Due to the injury, he wasn't able to move very well, so his linemen carried him downfield after each play. Led by Leftwich, Marshall managed to come back from a large deficit but wound up losing the game. Although Marshall's rally fell short, the image of Leftwich being carried by his linemen is what most people remember.

Things like this make me realize how amazing sports can be. They leave us in awe and make us scream and sheer like children. They bring us together in hard times and take our breath away. They provide the widest range of emotions; shock, ecstasy, bliss, sadness, but most of all, they makes us think "Did I really just see that?" and that's the power of it all. The last decade has been incredible and I can't imagine how the next will top it. Then again, sports always provides the unexpected.

2010s one had so much potential but came up short. The 2000s and the 20th century montages were some of the greatest in history and ESPN's finest. Still get chills watching this and the 20th century one. 😢 Edit: Clocks couldn't have been a more perfect song for this montage.
If you listen to the words of the song, all of the clips are paired perfectly with them it truly was and still is one of the best sports Rhetoric videos we will Probably ever see
I always watch this from time to time. What an incredible decade for sports. This video was put together beautifully and it always makes me well up. Hopefully the world will be back to normal soon so we can continue to create iconic moments like these
This is why sports are the greatest fucking thing ever
HELL YEAH!
I almost started tearing towards the outro of clocks
I tear up every time I see this video, man. Absolutely powerful. I hope ESPN does another one of these when 2020 come around.
Ryan Quigley it’s about that time now 😢
Facts man.
"The question has already been answered. Should we be here? Yes."-Jack Buck, September 2001
I have goosebumps the whole video. This is my childhood
Memories are Priceless.
I'm remember watching this live and nearly 5 years later I still get the goosebumps followed by a smile whenever I see this. Beautiful job by ESPN.
You're absolutely right. This video is a master piece. As someone who loves sports, each moment is significant and the lyrics line up perfectly.
Yes definitely one of the greatest sports videos ever. Whoever put this together deserves something!
Here in 2021 remember how tear’d up this tv spot got me. So fucking good
Visiting this after years. I remember watching this live on TV when it originally aired and honestly it always gave me goosebumps. Crazy how we can all come together with sports. Still one of the best montages.
same story, I was 14 years old
This was Peak ESPN and I do miss it
Watching this on New Year’s Day 2020
Every single moment I remembered...
I really hope Kobe scoring 60 points in his last game will be on here for the 2010s
they probably will
The O-Man no doubt
Anyone else want 2020 to get here so we can see the next one?
In the immortal words of Stone Cold Steve Austin: "OH HELL YEAH!!!"
Got 4 more years to go and a lot could still happen.
Not anymore. ESPN will just show a bunch of people kneeling down for the anthem.
Philly M Brady's comeback
Came here to find this comment...I was 22 when this first aired, I cried
God I love sports.
remember watching this live, as a kid. it was the holidays, and i was mesmerized. ever since then, i have loved sports, and this is an accurate representation of what sport is all about. its more than just a game.
The new images of the decade for the 10s is wack
oscar gonzalez facts, I came here to watch this again after seeing that one
No.
Images of the century trumps them all with 'Dream On'!
In fairness, this was a much better, eventful decade
@@Erndogg12 Hard disagree
I remember watching this when it aired I was 17. Still to this day one of my favorite videos ever produced. I remember a lot of these moments in sports just makes me feel old looking back on all these.
Jack Buck’s speech after 9/11 was so beautiful and can show how sports brings us together.
Back when ESPN was watchable
Quite possibly the greatest video of all time
I'm here because this was 5x better than 2010s one.
Agreed. The 2010s one sucked
Dale Earnhardt 😢
Yup.
Can't wait until the next one is made. I love sports so much. The pride, fury, drama, and intensity is like nothing else in the world when it comes to sports.
here on 1/1/2019. one more year! btw i think all five of the final highlights happened in '08. tebow, phelps, bolt, tiger, NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS
the 2010-2019 one will have alot to cover.... Aaron Hernandez Manti Teo Tim Tebow in the NFL Auburn/Alabama Kick Six Richard Sherman Rant on Crabtree Marshawn Lynch Beastquake Run Lebron Leaves Cleveland and then Returns Kobe Retires Peyton Manning and Brett Favre Retire Jerry Sandusky and Joe Paterno Scandal Cubs Win World Series Blackhawks Dynasty Rise and Fall of D-Rose Death of Dave Mirra Junior Seau and NFL Concussion Saga Soooo much more....

Eagles first sb with Foles great run
The Rangers-Cardinals world series The Astros Dodgers world series Not to mention UMBC a 16 seed stomping Virginia a 1 seed into a mud hole in college basketball
Chase Wolfe Justify winning Triple Crown
What about Kyle Busch breaking his leg then returning to win the sprint cup
Wow the new one sucks compared to this masterpiece
The best part of this video is how the lyrics match the images. Chills.
Please make another one this year ESPN
The song for the next one should be Kings and Queens by 30 Seconds to Mars. I feel like that would be a good song to use.
Oh man.. I cry everytime they get to the Virginia Tech and Jack Buck part everytime..
Weird. None of these make me feel old or anything. *sees Blockbuster logo in lower right corner* ...Shit.
Wow, what a difference!
That Boise State Game will still be the best college football game i have ever seen.
I remember watching the Texas vs USC Rose Bowl with my brother and us being the only Texas fans in a crowd of about 50 people and when Vince Young scored that touchdown, the crowd feel absolutely silent. Incredible.
Every time I watch this, my eyes get so sweaty
"Well I'm the best Corner in the game!" ......Julian Edelmans Superbowl Catch......Kevin Durant holding up Warriors jersey.....Russell Westbrook telling KD "I'm coming" .....Aaron Gordon "Sit down" dunk......."I've decided to take my talent down to South Beach"......Kobes 60 points in his final game..."Mamba Out"......"You the real MVP speech......Kobe beating the Celtics.....Draymond kicking Adam's in the Groin........so much more
Can’t stop crying I miss when sports was just about the sport nothing more nothing less
One those videos you can't get tired of. Best sport images I've ever seen in my generation
This video is not only incredible but the song choice really brings it together. Clocks is easily the best song of the 2000s
I get chills and tear up everytime i watch this.... I love sports.
Smiles and chills, every single time..
The Tyree Play in Super Bowl XLII will go down as the greatest play in NFL history....
Zachary Naratil Also the flukiest
baguil02 Is it a fluke that the Giant's defense help the most proficient offense in history to only 14 points? You can say luck for a couple of plays, but for a whole game? No, that is just denial.
3 years later and Stefon Diggs has something to say
Idk, Malcolm butler maybe? That’s crazy
Immaculate reception is better than that.
Heading into 2023, still can’t leave this. Amazing for us to grow up seeing this stuff and now are huge sports fans passing it on to our kids/family
The video package for the 2010s is already looking pretty good: - Saints blowing up Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, and Peyton Manning - Crosby winning the hockey gold - Tiger's robotic apology - Northern Iowa beating Kansas - Lots of Kevin Durant
Jimmie winning a 7th sprint cup, too.
Cubs finally winning the World Series Jeter retiring Kobe dies The double gold in Tokyo
2019 is almost over can’t wait for the next one
I'm surprised how well the footage goes with the song!!!!
it is crazy how time flys watching espn sports center images of the decade from 2009 brings back great memories for sure
Auburns FG return against bama will definitely be on the 2011-2020
Oh man that, Ray Allen's three in game 7 in 2013, Jeter's retirement, Russell Wilson's turnover in Super Bowl 49, Stuart Scott, and a whole lot more when they do this in 2019.
@@the_o_man Indeed they were. Except they didn't include Stuart Scott. Can't believe it.
There were more clips of Terrell Owens than the entire NHL combined
I saw this 'live' this morning and LOVED it!
This brings back so many awesome memories. I remember I was in third grade when Derrick Mason was a foot short of winning a superbowl, now I'm in college. Its amazing how much sports shapes and defines our lives. It brings us extreme happiness and sometimes even worse heartbreak. Looking forward towards the next 10 years of sports.
*Kevin Dyson!
Everyone including me came back to this one after the 2010's video sucked. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
10 years later and this video still gives me goosebumps. Excited for a new one tonight.
One of the best videos on KZhead easily
Been 13 years. Watched it live. A lot has changed and a lot has remained the same. Time. A funny thing
Images of the decade 2000s>2010s
I choke up when I see this. this is why we can have nice things
I’ve seen this one and the best moments of the century one multiple times
How can someone not cry to this..to be part of this..amazing
this video has Stuart Scott written all over it.
Ted Lyons godammit, I wasn't ready for that.
Beginning of May 2019, only less than 8 months until they possibly make a 2010s montage and I hope it's just as good, if not, better than this one.
Seriously, I get the chills every time I watch this.
My favorite KZhead video by far. Only video that picks you up & takes you down.

This video gives me chills every time……
Brought tears be to my eyes.. Damn I love sports..
Haha Romo sitting there crying! best way to describe the Cowboys decade.
Back when professional sports meant something. A time where you could escape the grasps of reality and immerse yourself in the game without agendas and narratives being force-fed to the audience and the people.
Very true broad
My favorite sports clip off ALL-TIME... When u get chills watching a video thats when u can say that video touch u deeply... Every time I watch this video I'm just glad I'm a sports fan and why u should luv sports
In 2017 and still giving me chills throughout
Anythings Possible
Oh my god the 2010s one fucking sucks
The greatest sports video of all time thank you for posting this
this is one of the most moving/motivating videos i have ever seen in my life
Honestly can’t wait for the 2010’s version
"can't call it luck, its a miracle" considering it is the last NFL pass he caught, it is a fucking FLUKE, plain and simple.
baguil02 Of course it was a fluke, that's why it was so amazing. One in a million odds.
This and the 20th century one are some of the best montages I have ever seen. I only wish they had included a list of all the events and athletes present even though I know most of them! 😄
This song plus those highlights bring back so many memories in and outside of sports
Man, whoever posted this video is amazing! I'm way impressed.
Thank you so much for posting this. This was an early christmas gift for me thursday morning christmas eve on sportscenter, and I've been looking for this video ever since.
"pull my knee" lol Grammatica. Doesn't matter, this video never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Can't wait for the next one.
i saw this live on espn the 1st time they played it and ive seen it probably 10 times since, still gives me the chills watching it. i remember most of this they did a real good job
The person being carried is Byron Leftwich. In his senior season he had a serious leg injury, in which they had a big fourth quarter drive to win the game with little time on the clock, he couldn't walk, therefore his linemen had to carry him to the line of scrimmage after every completion. I've watched this video 5 times and I still see images i haven't seen for years.
man i still get chills
Almost forgot to watch this this week
Tyree's catch is the perfect moment to end this video. His catch was sort of a metaphor for the entire decade. It seemed as if every play and every game had a miracle in it.
