    • How much would you like your taxes to go up? Example - $100 worth of paint for a crosswalk, or thousands of $ plus an electrical bill for a a projector system? Sure, some of these look cool,, but they come at a price.

  • 投影式横断歩道は日本でも採用して欲しい。 普段は標識のみでそこにある事を表示し、歩行者が歩道に備え付けのスィッチを押すと横断歩道が投影されるもの。 今より横断歩道で停まる車は増えるだろう。

  • In the city where I live, every traffic light is triggered by vehicles. If heavy traffic is going in one direction, they get green light more often and longer than lesser traffic crossing.

    • Unfortunately, same happens in my city... bad for "lesser traffic" and even worse for pedestrians. During daytime, at the crossing nearest to my home it's 4-5 minutes pedestrian red followed by a 15-second pedestrian green to cross five lanes.

  • ライトによる横断歩道や標識はいいかもね。 やはり車の往来による摩耗から標識が見えにくかったり、白線が分かりにくくなっている点は、自治体が予算を組んで改修しなければいけないから、ライト型ならそういう税金の無駄は省ける気がする。

  • We'll not get that kind of equipment in the UK if it means spending money. Far more important that any money should go into rich people's pockets. We are a short-sighted country.
