Feels like Juice is still here seeing all these videos. I appreciate just the sheer volume of how much was recorded and also how lucky we are to years later still be seeing 'new' Juice videos. Juice's career was far too short but in those few years he recorded more official albums than 99.9% of rappers get to do in their career and all with amazing reception. He recorded more songs that never got official releases that are fire and better than most rappers final cut album tracks. What I'm saying is that Juice and the team did an amazing job at capturing the life and times of Juice WRLD dominating the world and being 100% at the peak of his game - truly setting a new bar for freestyling both in the damn quantity and in the quality. There's a lot of freestylers but a lot of them have stuff they wrote down. I'm sure Juice had lines he would bounce back to but with the hours upon hours upon HOURS of freestyles he says far too much to just be remembering all of that. Juice had a damn bible's worth of words in his head - call it the Juice testament. Juice's reign in rap will forever be a memory of one of my absolute favorite times in life, living it up in the city & feeling free for the first time in years. The music he made was the soundtrack and underscored the feeling of what my life was like from 2016-2018 but also a pulse on the state of hip hop and the excitement for rap music during that time. If they ever go to the past and want to do a heat test they will see a huge spike when Juice popped off from Lucid Dreams and went straight past the moon to pioneer his way into uncharted territory. There will never be another Juice WRLD but hopefully he inspired many artists to pursue the talent of rapping, word play, and challenging the ideas of what rap 'should' be. He did it all while staying true to himself; a task that requires bravery in a world that is full of short lived trends, NPC imitators, and 'artists' who will do anything to stay relevant BESIDES dropping amazing music. Juice is gone but NEVER forgotten. I don't know if there's a heaven or hell but if there is I hope Juice got a special place in the sky and someday we can hear his new paradise album. ~x 999 x~
