The Vikings also went to eastern Europe
Looking forward to the book!
Absolutely stunning craftsmanship. Great video! ❤🎉❤
Sneak into the museum at night, smash the windows, get the ship into the sea and sail on over to England with a few friends. Surely that is what the vikings would do! 🤣🤣
Would absolutely LOVE getting a ride on one of those ships. Would be an amazing honor !!!
Your enthusiasm for the Viking Age and this beautiful ship is palpable. Genetic memory...why not?
Immortal Champion
Breathtaking! What an amazing ship and beautiful museum in which to house it! Sturla, you must have thought you were in Valhöll! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this adventure! 🥰
I need the English translation before Christmas so Santa can put it in my stocking! Thanks for posting Sturla! Keep the videos coming!

Glad to hear an English version is coming!! Thanks for showing us the awesome ship- amazing! Hope you can show us more in future ❣️
These ships are beautiful, but they are also very capable at sea.
Also fish can swim
@@isupamn6807 Ok.
Flott video.
Verri najs, Sturla! That is one big ship right there. There's a lot (really a lot) to be said against our current time, but Norway is still pretty great at preserving its cultural heritage, in my opinion -- granted, at the same time that it is being undermined. Anyway, maybe I'll visit that place some time. Takker.
👍🙂.
Beautiful.
👌👌👍👍🙏🙏
Where do you suppose they came up with the idea of dragons?
Mid asia?
@@anyakosta364 I'm trying to get him to think about his position on evolution. There is a reason all the ancient cultures have dragon myths.
That's interesting. Could you explain more?
@@thornhedge9639 please share im eager to listen!!! There is a reason??? I beg u share And loads of ❤️
@@VikingStories Perhaps myths is the wrong choice of words; but being a historian you would understand it doesn't mean imaginary. Could all these cultures have come up with these Dragons separately, and yet consistently? A story simply carried from culture to culture? Or are we really talking about what they renamed Dinosaurs in the mid 1800's? I'm not so sure the ancient stories (Myths) lack accuracy. I find it fascinating that the Viking ships when the sails are open look very much like winged dragons flying low over the surface of the water. Do you suppose they were just taking advantage of the fear people felt for these creatures and using it to their advantage? So how did this ship motif evolve? I would really love your take on this.
hurry up and translate your book so i can buy it! :D

Genetic Memory? the Lombard Question... what is a Viking? The guy that got out of the BOAT! We got out of the boat in Denmark, We got out of the boat in Sweden, and we got out of the boat in Norway. Then the same in England. then we got off the boat in the USA. What is a Viking? and the Lombard question..... i after all that I have given, my genetic memory would have to question "are you a rotten banana?" Your genetic memory is qualified by how many generations of your Y-DNA can be named? I am now at 70
