While beginning on skateboarding, Pink Panther gets hungry and decides to dine out of a meal at a fancy restaurant, but maitre d' Big Nose won't allow him to enter without the proper attire, eventually throwing him out. Pink Panther tries several schemes to sneak in, but is thwarted before going in disguise. Big Nose mistakenly thinks he's a restaurant critic before getting wise to the deception. The real food critic arrives, and the maitre d', thinking him Pink Panther, gives him an extra spicy meal. The critic is outraged, leading Big Nose to get fired. Some time later, Pink Panther is skateboarding in the park and goes to a hot dog cart when he's hungry, but Big Nose is the vendor and furiously chases him away.

The Pink Panther is a British-American media franchise primarily focusing on a series of comedy-mystery films featuring an inept French police detective, Inspector Jacques Clouseau. The franchise began with the release of the classic Pink Panther film in 1963. The role of Clouseau was originated by, and is most closely associated with, Peter Sellers. Most of the films were written and directed by Blake Edwards, with theme music composed by Henry Mancini. Elements and characters inspired by the films were adapted into other media, including books, comic books and animated series.
The first film in the series derives its name from the eponymous pink diamond that has an enormous size and value. The diamond is called the "Pink Panther" because the flaw at its centre, when viewed closely, is said to resemble a leaping pink panther. The phrase reappears in the title of the fourth film The Return of the Pink Panther, in which the theft of the diamond is again the centre of the plot. The phrase was used for all the subsequent films in the series, even when the jewel did not figure in the plot. The jewel ultimately appeared in six of the 11 films.
Pink Panther and Pals is an American animated television series and a modern adaptation of the classic DePatie-Freleng Pink Panther shorts from the 1960s. The program was produced for Boomerang by Desert Panther Production and Rubicon Studios in association with The Mirisch Company and MGM Television. It premiered on March 7, 2010.
Like the classic cartoon show, the program is composed of two seven-minute Pink Panther shorts and a seven-minute Ant and the Aardvark short in between, retaining the main characters in both shorts though with some changes.
