@Max E yeah, he's been trolling every video on Emma they've posted with the exact same comment.
Seeing her playing on empty courts at the beginning brings it home how massive this was.
Funnily enough her 2 hardest sets in the entire Tournament came in the Qualifying Rounds.
Yeah, she'll never be playing early rounds in front of empty seats again. To think the number of people that could have decided to watch her but didn't because no one expected anything
Yeah ! not to mention how annoying playing in ''wild'' organised ITF tournaments can be.

when you’ve we seen so many sad faces in tennis recently like poor Osaka and many stoney icey faced champions , it’s refreshing to see a beautiful geeky humble intelligent teen who can’t stop smiling
Raducanu truly feels grateful just to be playing in a slam, that's what makes it so refreshing.
I couldn't agree more, a new shining light to brighten up womens tennis for the future.
Naomi Osaka has to get some mental health issues addressed and fixed before she returns back to the public eyes and tennis professionally, so much pressure on her to be great as one of the top female players in the world with Serena and Venus are on the verge of returning one day, it’s time for the future generations. emma , Fernandez, osaka after issues are fixed,, and bianca andresruca etc
i have no idea how emma does it but she certainly got me watching whole tennis matches
Yeah, before the final I haven t watched a full tennis match in more than 15 years.
It feels like the tennis world was waiting for someone like Emma Raducanu. The older players should appreciate having the opportunity to face such an incredible talent that I am sure reminds each and everyone of them of what inspired them to also play and compete. I am sure it is not about how many racquets they smash when things go wrong but it is about the eternal feeling that comes with winning and the strong connection between the crowds and the player at the very split second of winning the match. That feel lives forever. This young lady has the right attitude and trains very hard to create and experience these unique timeless moments. Such an inspiration to all loving this sport!
So,so right and no sqealing, nor grunting from either player. So refreshing. Such a little darling on and off the court.
No tantrums. No noise. No gamesmanship. Just hard, skilful, beautiful tennis. Women’s tennis just became really really watchable.
@@martinforrester8249 - I agree, all the grunters and attitudes are gone with Emma as a new champion. Tennis needs this so much!!!
@@cloudsmith7803 Agree with all of you so far. If I may compare this to the men's side, the tennis world erased its 'bad boy image' and 'grunting' or...rackets' abuse when, some 30 years ago, a cool, super calm Bjorn Borg appeared on the final scenes and silently appeased left and right. Now Emma totally showed it to the female stage and world audience, including her natural and ...romantic, smooth... landing on the ground, after the last point. All in spite of the Covid oandemic. Wunderbar! Wonderful, to say the least. And also Leyla Fernandez was..so composed in her press Q&As. Total, exemplary tennis by both. Thank you, USTA! Exemplary leadership, at her young 18 years of age!
@TravelerPat Not now, it isn't - just saying!
I`m 63 and can clearly remember the tail end of Rod Laver`s incredible career, I also saw a young Roger Federer destroy Lleyton Hewitt, the Wimbledon Champ at the time, and could see Federer as a future great, but I`ve never seen anything to rival what Emma has achieved at the US Open and with such grace too.

Freeze frame at 8:00. This girl is on fire and that look in her eyes. . . .she is a killer. Pure determination. That's exactly what a champion looks like. And while it is exciting to watch I don't imagine any opponent opposite the net would like to face her cold resolve. What an exciting sports story. And then she transforms into such a polite and personal young woman after she tears through the field of seeded players. Priceless.
Very true. I also liked the look of pure "is this really happening?" that came out at 6:56 after the final point of the semi. Showed how focused she really was on one point at a time.
*_Any time I want to put a smile on my face I come back and watch this._*
I don't think I will ever get bored of watching clips of Emma at this tournament. She's incredible and must be protected at all costs. I am fearful for the time when she loses a tight match (because she will lose a match at some point) and the media pile on her. There was no pressure on her this tournament. Now there is enormous pressure. I hope she continues to brush it off the way she did these three weeks.
Indeed, it's odd to think that as of yet she hasn't yet lost a slam match in a conventional manner - just that one withdrawal. She will have to face down that moment at some point; everybody does.

In terms of her playing style I'm reminded more of Agassi. Her game is built around a lethal return of serve that always gives her a platform to go hunting for service breaks. Couple that with a solid (if not spectacular) serve of her own, and an ability to strike the ball early on the rise, and she becomes an opponent that everyone is afraid of, who will tend to take part in exciting, dynamic matches.

You couldn’t be more wrong. Jennifer Capriati was THE MOST MARKETABLE tennis player EVER. . . You likely weren’t around. She was huge. She was on the cover of Newsweek Magazine as a 13-year old!!!! Emma "THE STORM" Raducanu wiping all her opponents , unbelievable! Stay HUMBLE as you are and keep that smile always!
Yes! She is just incredible! Emma completely breaks down her opponents - physically, mentally, emotionally! Look at the sheer strength of Emma's arms and shots! But if you see her physical training it is just scary!!
One of the best champs of all time! Why? Well spoken and humble!! I look forward to seeing her in more finals :) p.s that Leylah deserves a title as well
I get the distinct impression it won't be too long before Leylah breaks her duck in a slam, she was also phenomenal in this tournament and she's only a couple of months older than Emma. They're both going to be seeded now all next year because most of their ranking will come from this comp, we're going to be seeing a lot of them next year. Emma may soon be in the top 8.
Successful and humble, a rare combination nowadays
@@darthwiizius Absolutely - I reckon these two, frankly brilliant, young women are going to be the new Chris Lloyd and Martina Navratilova...
I've got one. How about "Leylah The Vainglorious"?
Thank you 💚
I was never really into women's tennis before, but I am now!! Emma has arguably done more for women's tennis than anyone in history. A superstar is born.
You ever heard of the Williams sisters ha ha I'm English by the way and love Emma but come on, Venus then Serena :)
I'm also British so obviously biased, but the Williams sisters brought the market to the global african_american market. My argument is that Emma, assuming she can keep winning, will bring tennis and her brilliant smile, fluent Mandarin speaking and natural intelligence to a far larger market. And also she is gorgeous looking. I accept that shouldn't be a factor, but undoubtedly it is.
@@lanceleman7966 Like you say she could, were I'm saying the Williams sisters have done. Lets see how she goes, she may drift off into obscurity she may become the best ever. Yeah her looks are gonna help, she can't help being fit as a peach though so I won't hold that against her ;)
@@PeterJPickles Agree with everything you say, but have you ever seen such a global media response from someone winning a tennis tournament? I rest my case.
@@lanceleman7966 Let's face it the WIlliams sisters would never be popular in China
Congratulations beautifull Emma!!! Congratulations to your family!!! Keep it up!! You are a STAR!!!
